Heres the thing....I constanly do Gods work that he asks me to do, right. how far would you go to do what he asks? would you do the dirty jobs of correcting, the painful times of losing a friendship and/or straight telling someone what is in a vision/dream that the Lord gave you to tell them? how far would you go to get Gods work done that he asks ?
 
Of late and considering how I'm trying to get back on track with Him. The way I look at it is like this. Here am I, Send me!
 
nother example....you just fall in love with someone. you believe it the one and then that night you get a vision. in that vision a voice tells you, you have to tell that person they are going to die a horrible death in 2 days. an theat you are to break of your relationship. you of course test the spirit and it turns out to ether by the voice of God or one of Gods people. and then they show you the first 15 mins of your day when you wake up. to prove that you have heard the truth. you wake up and the first 15 mins fly by and it happens exactly as it was in the vision. an you know wha you have to do....would you go through telling that loved one that you have to leave them and that they are going to die a horrible death ?

Would you go through doing the work of God ?
 
Dude, that's an intense scenario, but yes...I would...and in a way, have already. Sometimes we have to give up things like dreams, people we love, and many other things to follow Christ, but he says;

29"I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31But many who are first will be last, and the last first." -Mark 10:29-31
 
Amen there...it just sucks sometimes doing the dirty jobs that no one likes to do.
 
True, but it was put to me by a friend of mine who is a pastor like this...'God made a hammer to drive in a nail; but if the hammer refuses, he will take off and use his shoe."

Basically what he was saying is that God has designed each individual for a certain function. (We are all different parts of the body of Christ.) Sometimes though, we don't follow God's call or purpose for our lives, but his will must still be done. So, instead of then having a deficiency, he will use who is willing to get the job done.

Hopefully I would do anything he asked me to do. Easier said than done …
 
Alot of people say that...not saying you wouldn't but how far would you prove to God that you are His Faithful servent ... would you do the " dirty work" that is painful and unpleasant. would you truly go the distance to prove to God you are who you say you are in Christ Jesus.
 
We don’t know until we are tested, do we? We all wish we would go all the way, but we don’t know. About all we have to go on is our track record—how far have we been willing to go so far?

One thing I did as a young man that I am pleased with, and I also made a lot of mistakes, is that I stopped trying to be “cool.” To a certain extent I conquered my pride so it wouldn’t get in the way of my service.
 
Amen there brother....now my pride is for doing the Lords work instead of against it.
 
I hope I'm never put in this position as you seem to have been or have described this scenario even. But as it's pointed out through this thread. What has to be done has to be done. Here am I...send me.
 
Amen there mercyswolf....none of us hope to do that kinda of jobs for the Lord. unfortantly some of them i had haad to do have been close to it but not that harsh. An i sit here working for a Christian addiction house helping people and see the egarness from some of these guys to do what it takes to make thier lifes right. even me and started thinking if the worse you are down the sinners path and turn around and claim Christ as savior and that you would do anything for God....would they get the tougher Jobs from God so that they can prove that they are what they say they are....Servents of God and Christ? if that makes sense lol
 
It makes good sense. I've been having a strange dream of late that doesn't make sense to me but at the same time it does. I truthfully have been praying for clarity of late as I want to know more and what it's really about. Considering how I'm trying to live closer to Him after all I've been through in the last few months. I've literally been working on a lot about me that I'd like to improve on and have been praying about now and again. Though, I will admit I haven't put a lot of time into His word as I know I should.
