as i said i've never written/really been a part of a forum community before... so this is a learning experience for me. i just came on here because i am in the place in my life right now where i really need some good christian friends my own age, and i think its amazing that i can meet amazing people, from all over the world, who i would never get to meet otherwise. :giggle::giggle::giggle:

I have watched a few anime series and movies with my daughter, who learned Japanese as a result of her love of manga. We both really enjoyed Nana, Hikaru no Go, 12 Kingdoms, Rurouni Kenshin, Princess Tutu, The Vision of Escaflowne, Full Moon o Sagashite, Cardcaptor Sakura, and others. Do you like anime? What are your faves? Yeah, we saw Death Note and some other very dark and disturbing ones, too...

lol yes, Death Note is pretty intense, i stopped watching when L... ehem, Was unable to exist in the plot (tries to keep spoilers away), i really like Your Lie In April, (very sad, also some language which i didn't like but it hit me in the feels) but my absolute favorites are Ghibli movies like The Cat Returns, and When Marnie Was There.

There are so many I cannot even remember the names of that we watched. For her it started with Sailor Moon, and I did see quite a few seasons of that with her before it got too weird, but the first one we watched together was Inuyasha :) How different the Japanese animations are from the sort of things I grew up with in animation :eek: I do not recognize the ones you have mentioned. Most of what I saw was many years ago... before becoming Christian. My daughter is an agnostic :)
