Never mind what people say about homosexuals...be mindful of what G-d says about that practice. A no, no. So much so that it is kept separate from the ten commandments for special classification along with all liars....... a abomination.

Those who don't like the way the Bible treats homosexuality must take it up with G-d. It is the same as other sin...but, from a individual perspective...it is repulsive.

OK! Yes. I tried for 10 min to find chapter and verse, I don't have the bible comitted to memory, yet. In the verse I was recalling, homosexuals, drunkards, liars, adulteres and idolitors are mentioned with equal distain.

the Bible does not treat homosexuals in abad away at all. The SIN of homosexuality is what produces it's own reward . God said don't do it. Man said I will do what I want. The end result is the payment for sin.

C...,

Don't believe I said...Bad. G-d hates the sin...not the sinner. A point not in contention here.

No sin produces it's own reward ( reward...?....not what a average person would believe).......unless one wishes to approach the results of a abomination as a reward. Care to explain that spin?

I am not aware of a way to put a pretty face on a ugly pig.

Interesting.

Would you agree that having homosexual desire is not a sin but acting on it is a grievous sin. I think the Bible says that temptation is not a sin but acting on it is

M...,

Temptation is when Satan delivers an opportunity to your feet and you must resist it.
Having a sinful desire is allowing the thought to process through the mind and is cautioned against by scripture.

This reference comes to mind;

James 1:14-15 ESV / 12 helpful votes
But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Allowing this process seems to make resistance less likely.

I was referring to temptation in general, so it would also apply to the temptation of homosexuality. We don't chose temptation, it chooses us. Even if we cut it off as soon as it rears it's ugly head, it has already visited us. We need to be on guard at all times and be ready to kill sin as soon as it shows up.

My guess is you forgot about Sodom destruction. It was a city full of Homosexuals and other sinners. However, what really condemned the city was the acceptance of sin as normal all the rest. How many cities do we have to day that are like that...

that is your take the bibles says sin produces it own payment . Sodom was akin that Offended God to the POINT HE took action in judgement . Your guess is wrong, each of us will stand before the Lord and do what? Give an account for the things we did in the flesh. Not collectively but individually.

You-CS1 are right, we all will be judged (even the Church (body of Christ) in the Bema Seat) by GOD the Father or Jesus Christ. The only problem with this scenario is that if one is not a TRUE Christian, the Final Judgement of those awaiting in Hell will be postponed for 1 thousand years. The Bema Seat (Greek) for Judge. There are two types of Judgement in the Bible, One for condemnation and the other for the giving of rewards for one's life works. It is a judgement of a sort and is closed to only the true believers. Thus, only the un-believers will face, GOD, the Father and the "White Throne Judgement"

Hope you have a blessed evening CS1

Whoa pump the brakes, please don't give the devil so much credit, he's not all powerful. He did not make Adam blame Eve and God for him eating the forbidden fruit, Adam made up and shifted the blame the blame all by himself. The devil dosn't need much help, we can do it without him. calibob

is it really a sin, just asking? Jesus never said a word about it. And if it's because the Old Testament said so, well then should we not eat shellfish, wear clothes woven with different fabrics, and eat pork? So we should still live by O.T laws? As for the New Testament, doesn't the original language just refer to Male Prostitution, Molestation, Promiscuity, and not committed same-sex relationships? Paul may have spoken against homosexuality, but he also said that women should be silent and never assume authority over a man, so should modern-day churches live by all of Paul's values? And doesn't the Bible define marriage as one man many wives, and many concubines, a rapist and his victim, and conquering soldier and female prisoner of war? And if it's because God made Adam And Eve and not Adam and Steve, then wasn't that just when the earth wasn't populated, and there are now billions of people - breeding isn't an issue anymore. Another thing, didn't it actually say 'Boy shall not lay with man', but it was originally written in Greek, and the meaning was lost in the translation and it was talking about Pedophilia, not homosexuality?
Again, just asking; credit to an image I saw, these ideas aren't mine, but what I saw made me think. thanks!

LOl you cannot look at another sin to excuse sin. Jesus did not have to say a word about homosexuality. Jesus endorse Marriage between one man and one women In the Gospels. Therefore Homosexuality he did not have to name because HE said what Marriage is, found in the gospel Matthews. Paul did not add to or take away from what Jesus said or the Old Testament.

The Bible is a life Book it shows you things that were not to be. God did not endorse sin, and a King did have more than one wife however, that was allowed due to the office they held . Remember IT was not God who wanted a King it was the people and they got one because they rejected God , you find that in 1sam

Just because the term, word, or adjective. is not given if you have discernment and take way is given, you should be able place it as something that God will bless or not

Rape

Murder

Hatred

Adultery

Fornication

Homosexuality

All seem to be in the same category = SIN

Lost translation ? What a bunch of skubala

context too is very important . man laying with a man is sin, unnatural , and ungoddly. This is not what God created sex for.
Marriage is defined by God in Gen 2:24. And Jesus reaffirmed it in the Gospels

You have read Genesis right?,"same sex" acts are "mentioned" and not translated as "pedophilia" as you "think" as mentioned previously sodom and gomorrah had "men" that "raped" and "desired" other "men" Lot even "pleaded" with them to not do so to the angels the wicked men thought were mere "men" offering his daughters who were virgins and yet their "lust" was for "new men" and would not turn away it's a clear "picture" of "same sex" sin and abominable wickedness.

The problem with homosexually, isn’t that it’s the worst sin. In God’s eye all
sin separates. All sin renders us unholy and lost. All sin is so serious that
Christ died for us.

I think though the problem with homosexualty is the way it’s flaunted and
promoted as if it’s normal. It is corrupting society and corrupting the hearts
and minds of children in most so called developed countries.

I don’t know what it’s like in other countries but in the UK when a child starts
school. Parents are now asked what gender does their child identify as!

I may be old school but I’m sure God created make and female. So wants with
all of this, non gender specific business, or trans, bi etc.

We even had a case over here recently where two people (sorry just can’t call
them mother and mother!). Did not want to register the sex of their child on their
babies birth certificate, they wanted the child to decide their own gender when
they got older.

What’s that all about!

The entire issue of gender and homosexuality is permeating each
generation like nothing else on earth.

If people who are gay want to seek God and turn from their ways. Learn
what the bible actually says. Then great.

However very few do, they just want to push their own corruption
onto everyone else and make them accept it as normal.

Did you know there is even a gay bible. I was shocked when I found out.
How perverse is that. It’s called the Queen James Bible!

Ps I have a brother who is gay, I love him to bits he never pushes his
Lifestyle or flaunts it on anyone else. I disagree with his lifestyle and he
thinks I’m nuts for believing in God. It doesn’t mean we can’t still care
for each other. He doesn’t push his agenda and I don’t push mine.
I still pray for him though.

My concern is that when society starts to normalise that which is
completely not normal and which goes against the very core of
society and family, we know we are in trouble.
