Prediction of Trump presidency is not prophesy, it is like whether forecast.
I never said it was.

Everything about the kingdom of God was already said and now is only the fulfillment. The entire bible is about the kingdom of God and so is all prophesy.
I generally agree.

If raising of the dead ceased, i don't see why tongues or healing should continue- it is the same spirit that raised the dead, isn't He?
Raising of the dead has not ceased.

Yes, it's the same gift of the Holy Spirit.

Does your church raise the dead?
I do not personally know anyone who has raised someone from the dead.

You do not anyone who has raised someone from the dead yet you believe raising of the dead is possible today? talk about delusion.
Truly truly i tell you, it is harvest time, nothing like going back when you are already harvested.

That is something I have never done.

What church do you attend that believes it's a salvation issue as to where the Holy Spirit was first given?

Hypocrite.

I have said no such thing.

I understand the part the Pharisees and Sadducees played in Jesus' crucifixion.

Maybe we should just part ways. You seem incapable of interacting with me without lying.

It's your prerogative to think what you will.
Not it's not, it's reality.
To you, today's tongues are real because you think it was a promise and it is observably practiced many including yourself.

Well, not quite so, raising the dead and other miracles were also a promise but to the disciples and Apostles only coz we see non of them today.

Yes, it is harvest time:

Rev 14:
13Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

14I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of manbwith a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.16So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

17Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.”19The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. 20They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.c

When a grape is cut, it doesn't go back to the vine. The era of grapes going back to the vine ended with the real tongues.

You were asked to explain, not post scripture out of context and still not make the point asked for. "can you explain how this works, how exactly is the prayer language prayer different than praying in your own language? "

Especially when you RedX'd , disgreed, with a post that actually did explain what Tongues is.

You're into the unintelligable mutterings that people claim are tongues, right? But actual language, as the bible talks about being tongues in scripture is not true? That's what your
says.

Remember the tower of Babel in Genesis 11? Everyone spoke the same language. Then God confused the language of the earth and scattered the people across the earth. Because the tower and an act of defiance against God.

Generations later in order to bring the message of the cross to the scattered people it makes sense God's healing spirit would then bring the many languages to those Jesus appointed to go forth and teach the Gospel.

I have spoken to this person in this video personally. The fact that he uses genesis to disprove the gifts of tongues is laughable. The context of Genesis 11:1-9 has nothing to do with Acts 2 or 1cor 12, 13.and, 14.

And I called Lex on it, all he had was insults. if you look up retircs1 his youtbe

Cs1:

this guy does not know proper Biblical context of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit He is mixing two different biblical events that have nothing to do with each other . The Genesis account of Babel has nothing contextual with The Book of Acts chapter 2 or 1cor chapter 12,13, and 14.

Lex replied :
(unlearn the lies)
"retircs1 you seem to have a limited understanding of Scripture. "

Cs1:

Everyone has limited understanding of scripture and so do you . the title is “Biblical truth about Speaking in tongues” Yet your opening text is from Genesis 11. You failed properly again Exegesis chapter 11 of Genesis and you quote Flavius Josephus ? When did his writings become seen as the authoritative word of God ? How does his understanding of 1 Corinthians chapter 12, 13 and 14 have anything to do with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit?. But hold off on that for a minute. You quote Josephus but more used like a smoke screen ;you purposely do not address the context of Chapter 11 of Genesis? T

OK... But what is your point?

We are not living in the trib yet. The book of Revelation is still future.

Nope, you are far from getting a grasp.

We are not living in the trib yet. The book of Revelation is still future.
Not quite

Rev 14:
13Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.

I believe this words applied from that moment on and not future. And when did the atonement sacrifice of our Lord become effective? i don't think it is the future.

We differ on our understanding of the scriptures. I believe the exact same thing about you.

"From now on" concerns the time about which John was writing, the great tribulation. We aren't there yet. We have not seen any of the seals, trumpets, thunders, or bowl judgments yet.

But we're getting WAY off the topic of speaking in tongues... :)

So the dead that die in Jesus today are not blessed?
You won't hear any trumpets or see any seals- everything will be as normal as today for the end of age will be as the days of Noah, people will be marrying and given for marriage, drinking and eating and making merry. People can not eat and drink and merry when trumpets are sounding.

Tongues? It is still fake.

They are, but John is specifically talking about the future.

When all of that stuff begins to happen, we’ll already be with Christ.

Tongues? It is still fake.
My, what a convincing argument... :)

At what point will you be with Christ? the first resurrection happens here and only the saints that participate in the first resurrection will be with Lord during the 1000 years:

Rev 20:4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. Theya had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
