You are accusing me falsely. I am simply writing down what the bible says in response to someone who claimed they (the apostles) were sinners. That is how far some of you have gone...it's amazing. The bible is the last book in the world that should be used to defend sin.

if you knew who was the real champion of defending sin in mankind...you would tremble at the thought.

No one here is defending sin , get off your high horse

We should live holy lives , as is our reasonable service , but its NOT what makes us righteous is Gods sight

no you are imputing your false understanding to scripture

then calling it the truth

:(

this is not simply "writing down" whats in the bible

satan would have probably used a similar excuse when he tried to tempt Jesus

you seem to know nothing of context

and believe some strange doctrine of men while ignoring most of the bible

What I'm defending is the standard of Christ and the reality of the kingdom life that is above sin. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ overcomes the law of sin and death just as the law of flight overcomes the law of gravity.

You have not understood this so you will mock.

But there IS a provision for overcoming sin...and it is called grace. We are under grace which is the power over sin...just like the power of an airplane overcomes the law of gravity.

So you may not know it, realize it, or have experienced it...but we will all be judged against that standard. That is why we should fear the Lord.

Paul speaking here:

1 Tim 1:
15) This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Also read Rom 7.

About Peter:

Gal 2:
11) But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
12) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation [hypocrisy].

John wrote:

1 John 1:
8) If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

All men sin, even called apostles. Even you.

IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS

Isaiah 53:11 - He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
----------

romans 3

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
------------

Romans 5:19
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous

-------------

2 Corinthians 5:21 - For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

------------

Philippians 3:9 - And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

------------------

Galatians 2:16 - Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

___________

we are saved by grace through faith....

and when we (born again sons and daughters of God)
are judged

we will also be judged by the same standard as EVERYONE

the difference between the saved
and unsaved

is the unsaved have their own righteousness that they will be judged by

those covered by the sacrifice of Jesus will be judged by His in regards to salvation...

-------------------

TO ALL WHO BELIEVE

Acts 13:39
39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses

-----------

John 3:15-17
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

--------------

BEING BORN FROM ABOVE PRODUCES SONS, NOT PRETENDERS WHO STOP BELIEVING

hebrews 10

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
_____________

john 6

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

___________

1 John 2:19
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us

Believers wont be judged for sin , Christ paid for our sin over 2000 yrs ago , we will be judged for what we did with our lives after we were saved . good grief , like i said before , your confused

Actually it is... We are justified by living the life of Christ which is without sin. No one is justified IN their sins. That is an evil fiction. We can only be justified away from our sins.
The blood of Christ cleanses us from ALL sin. So how much sin is left? Unless you disbelieve the power of the blood of Christ. otherwise we have NO spot or wrinkle as we walk IN His life.

Why would God cleanse us knowing that we will continually soil ourselves? Would God have not provided a way out? Is there no salvation from sin?

One of you said that we will ALWAYS sin. But the opposite is true.

2 Cor. 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Am I wasting my time here posting what's in the bible...seeing that everyone seems to hold their own reasoning in higher regard?

Your own ideas...again not the truth.

Look up the word "transgressor.." ...or lawless.

I'm still working on it, but what Christ did on the cross is meant to free us by his grace so we can obey God out of love from the heart instead of the ulterior motive to avoid sin which is exactly what some people are implying right here

The anointed sinner? The sinful saint? Dirty holiness? This is the sign of the times. I leave you all to enjoy each other's company.

Thats right , Grace doesnt cause us to sin , it empowers us to overcome it , but we still fail at times , even YOU .
The law is what causes us to sin , which im sure you know , as you push the law so much
And once again we will not be judged for sin , or Christ died in vain , we will be judged for what we did after salvation , and will earn rewards for faithful service

Latour,

"Dont just listen to sermon...read the bible yourself"

I listen to the sermon of my pastor of course but am also studying, been reading the bible with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God is speaking to me in His words in my early morning devotion and during spare time...and how come did i not reading at my own?
