The only bitter attitudes I've seen are from some of those who argue against Ralph. Ralph is usually very cordial.
Lol..i guess thats a matter of opinion but thats what this thread is become..whos right and whos wrong..think God has completely gotten passed by awhile ago..so now we are left with much more opinion than fact..more wanting to be right than actually learning ..growing and encouraging others in faith and love..and whoever still sees God in all this mess..please ask Him which pill he wants...i seemingly have "extras" thanks to Ralph :)

well when we look to what the scripture says

and not
blindly go with what the church is teaching and contradict what Jesus said

2nd soil
matthew

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Mark 4:17
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

.... it doesnt say some root for a time...

it says no root

what do you believe the root you proclaim they had some of

which scipture says they had not.....

represents?
So Jesus was a moron and did not realize that plants with no roots at all can not 'spring up'? You have to give him more credit than that.

Hmmm......encouraging others to continue to believe so they can be saved when Jesus comes back is not encouraging others in faith and love? Are you serious?

Give Him a pill ralph :)
I've got lots of red pills ready to give him.

He's been rejecting them though. He prefers the blue pill EG and dcontroversal gave him to rescue him from the false gospel of works he was trapped in.

It seems bitter and argumentative to you because you are emotionally attached to your 'once saved always saved' beliefs and you get angry when someone else says you're wrong. You're projecting your anger on to those who oppose you. Are you in the United States? This is exactly what is happening in the truth movement presently advancing in American politics. The Luciferian pedophile leftists of the deep state are being exposed and they are coming out with all kinds of accusations against the right that they themselves are guilty of. I see this same projection in the church among those being challenged in their long standing, erroneous doctrines of 'once saved always saved'.

I've been hoping this same 'truth movement' would occur in the church. I don't see it yet. Not sure it's going to happen, but then again I never imagined, even remotely, that it could happen in American politics.
Would you prefer, if saved always saved?

No. That's still not Biblical. But you know, it was a step toward the real truth for me in my journey. It's progress.

I havent seen any of your posts lately encouraging others to be saved but i HAVE seen you constantly trying to defend your warped belief and pass it off as truth and when people dont agree with ..you get even MORE defensive...

The roots of the plant are the word of God. Read the parable. The seed sown is the word of God. The seed sprouts with roots in soils 2, 3, and 4. How do we know? It's growing there. Plants don't grow with no root at all. Only in soil #1 is it not planted and rooted in any way in the soil.

The point of the parable is the word of God is not rooted deep enough in soil # 2 to remain in the soil. And what is rooted in soil #3 is being choked out by the worries and cares and loves of this world.

It's a parable about fruitfulness, not salvation, though we can know that soils #2-4 are saved by the simple fact that the word is in them (1 John 5:10). If it was not in them that would be soil #1, the unsaved soil.

Not defensive, more persuasive.

Stop projecting. Look at your own heart.

i was trapped in a false gospel of works salvation

and i do reject much of your false understandings

and EG Dcon magenta billG as well as many others did argue/debate/speak with me daily which eventually got me to examine myself

and go back to God for the truth after i let go of what i was holding on to

but no one gave me a pill

and no one here got me to change my mind

it took God literally breaking down all my unstandings verse by verse for months

you have never once provided a decent argument against any of my beliefs
and if you did i would take it to God

and if i am wrong id openly admit it
but
of course im going to reject nonsense

and im not taking your bait today

keep and making snarky comments if you want

It really is that simple.

They believe and are saved by that belief, but since the word is not deeply rooted in them the word is only retained until persecution and hardship comes as a result of that word. But this simple truth that Jesus is teaching is going to be rejected if one is determined to not examine the matter for themselves and blindly go with the church is teaching them that contradicts what Jesus said. A person has to ask themselves why they are not willing to consider other thought and insight outside of their own. Obviously, they want to stay in their comfort zone.
The word is not well rooted in them because they have no deep root in themselves, meaning their self awareness is shallow and superficial.

here is the thing, i.m.o., whether or not one is saved, then " loses " the salvation, or one never really , truly believed, they end up in the same place, if they never accept Christ- hell.

and, since I think even ralph agrees that we are saved by belief and faith in Christ, which is internal, ( thou it will produce external evidence ), that is why we should NOT attempt to judge another's salvation. something ralph and I have sparred about several times.

i disagree

i believe the seed is the word of God (the truth)

and the root is the product of the good seed being in good ground

Ok Ralph, if you used the term 'throw away or turn your back on salvation I'd be more willing to go along with you. To Lose suggests to me 'by accident' if someone turns their back on the lord and trades salvation for riches, fame, the devil or whatever it is intentional, thus they didn't lose their salvation, they threw it away.

The bible uses the term "let slip" or "drift away", so it doesn't have to be a conscious decision. A carelessness that leads to a hardened heart that is unresponsive to GOD would have the same result.
