Feeling guilty for feeling sad.

Why is it so?

I have friends, but still I feel lonely.
I know I am saved through Christ. Still I feel unwanted.
I know I am blessed. Still I feel punished.
I know I should rejoice, but the worship is silenced.

I have no reason feeling sad, lonely, unwanted or punished. Still I do.

because it's far too easy to live by sight
and it's of utmost difficulty to walk by faith

I guess it is a summer break depression I am having. It is nothing not going back to work can cure.

And for me, I take the promise of joy cometh in the morning literally, so it kind of wears off during the day.

Walking by faith... yes. I guess that is the core of the matter. I think this will be my focus in prayers now. Thank you, brother and God bless you for your wisdom and insight.

for surrendering, you are surrendering what you are seeing right now, for something that you don't see yet
and it becomes a decision to trust in what you don't see yet

toinena, you have made one of the most underappreciated thread that could be made in christianchat.com

It shouldn't be about the likes. I write to empty my head and heart. Thank you so much for the insightful comments and kind words.

Ebon were the skies above
it was my darkest hour
but just before all hope was lost
I saw some garden flower

She seemed so out of place
and yet she seemed to fit right in
and I was soon to learn a thing
all heros are not men

For true heros tend to stay the course
and grow where they are planted
yet never fail to thank God
for what others take for granted

Now the message that she told me
was easy to be heard
and yet the greatest mystery was
that flour spoke a word

But I seemed to hear "hang in there boy
it's gonna be ok
for we are not the only ones
who've had to pass this way

You see there are two different roads
one narrow and one wide
and we did choose the better one"
as she beamed out loud with pride

That hit me like a lightning bolt
and knocked me of my feet
for truth can strike a mighty blow
though sometimes bittersweet.

I think the greatest gift
is helping others understand
and oh about my little friend
I named that flour Joann

Thanks for sharing your poem, Toinena. Sometimes we feel these highs and lows depending on our seasons in life, but we serve an awesome BIG God who cares about every detail of our lives. He is faithful to carry us through these times. Sending prayers and hugs your way!

I have felt this...the deeper you go in your relationship with the Lord, the less lonely you feel. The more peace you have. :) God bless you on your journey. -student
