It strikes me that the OP is not very clear in what is being asked ....thus inviting even more confusion ! Is it asking if we should attend church ON sundays or is it asking if we should attend EVERY sunday ?
Seeing the Bible does NOT mention official ASSEMbling ON a sunday (first day of the week) but to assemble ON the 7th day Sabbath - this makes the whole question of 'sunday-worship' rather a moot point.....if we really want to stick with SCIPTURE Lev 23v3.

Isn't the whole point of spreading the Gospel or making Disciples that we speak TRUTH to each other BASED ON the WORD of GOD ?
There are NO scriptures to support 'sunday worship' in any way official from God...so why do we do it ? because it has become accepted by and through human TRAdition only. Should that not be rectified when found to be ERROR ???
Jesus had plenty to say about 'jewish traditions being wrong and He will also correct christian traditions that are not according to the Word of GOD !!!

The closest scripture reference to what you are seeking is found in Hebrews 10:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

This portion of that scripture " Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together," could refer to a church gathering, since the rest of that scripture details it's the opportunity to exhort one another.

But there are no clear verses with the word church, attendance, or required all together.
I know, because there are none that say that. Like I said before, in the new testament there was one church per city. Not a bunch of divided churches everywhere, all on different pages.

Read you bible..God himself established the church after penticost but in the OT they had temples and synigogs..it doesnt say the DAY you need to go. Some go Saturday the Sabbeth and some go Sunday..but theres is :"

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates."

Our society is far from this..but its still in the Bible..why do you think that is? Was God just being selfish?
May I just take you up on the point of which day to attend church ?
The Bible DOES say on which day....and it does NOT give an alternate day as christians have inserted.
Lev 23v3 is quite specific 'Six days shall work be done; but the 7th day is 'the Sabbath of rest, 'a holy convocation ...calling together for formal meeting.
v4 these holy convocations/assemblies are to be proclaimed '. There are no instructions to proclaim sunday. If you know of any other from God (than man's traditions) please state (I may have missed them)

The desire is an awesome start..and sorry but i think i misunderstood your OP as well..ive come out of church feeling empty to but realized that my heart felt empty because of not having Jesus and i expected a church to fill the void that only Jesus could fill..so you can go from one church to the next to the next and still feel empty..you need Jesus to fill you from the inside out..THEN church might have the right neaning for you..;)
The churches are under another spirit. A religious spirit. If you cover yourself under a religious spirit. Jesus can't reach you. That's why I had to come out. Tell me. How do you think that I know so much about God's word. I have been getting fed somewhere. Surely you can't deny that. When Paul tell the men in Cor: 11:77A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man.
He"s talking about with another spirit. Jesus is their head. If they are covered with another spirit, Jesus can't abode with them.

All this division and confusion arises from the fact that people have allowed themselves to be 'led astray and have deviated from the Word of God filling in with their own understanding rather than sticking to scripture. Jesus warned us not to become 'deceived Mat 24 !!! but this would require OBEDIENCE which people ( christians included ) have not yet learned and are UNwilling to submit.

Hogwash and codswollop. There is no scriptural support for such ideas.

That's why I had to come out. Tell me. How do you think that I know so much about God's word.
You can read, apparently. So can everyone here. You aren't the only one who has learned something outside the local church.

Ahhh. Got it..ive never heard of that before and im not being sarcastic either...
Well Jewell, I am a Jew by blood but I never practiced Judaism the religion. I spell out God, but liked mcubed said it is just a matter of preference. I started keeping the seventh-day Sabbath as a Christian. That was the hardest step in faith that I have had to make. It gets you into trouble with all your friends and family. giggle.gif

What we need to fill the void in us is THE ONE and ONLY TRUE SAVIOR found only in scripture the WORD of GOD ! we will NOT find him in traditional christian sunday churches !!! these are riddled with false christs that the REAL Jesus/Yashua WARNED against. Turning to the REAL Jesus requires RADICAL Change !!!

The churches are under another spirit. A religious spirit. .

Some are under a demonic spirit allowing homosexual ministers, twisting scripture so perverse people believe that they are saved. Christ predicted in the last day the spirit of the antichrist would be easy to recognize. Some of the current doctrine being changed to allow sin to be accepted, is a clear indicator of what Christ warned us about.

People who attend Church says it is biblical to attend Church every Sunday, but it's not.

I am in awe of your creativity with the question...

At first glance one thinks it's about going to "church", but you don't realize it's about "Sunday"...
And it is doubly good for it's ambiguity... It is about both...
Great question, my hat is off to you....

1 Corinthians 14:26: What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

It's one thing to 'come together 'in TRUTH from scripture - but another thing to voice your own opinion and understanding. Traditional christianity has deviated from the Word of GOD to establish theit own ....and what makes it even more worse and confusing is their 'claimed' use of the Bible.

except for the fact that Leviticus was given to Israel only.

and, when John said he was " in the Spirt on the Lord's day, he did NOT mean Sabbath . different greek word.

Sabbath keeping has 0 to do with salvation by faith in Christ.

People who attend Church says it is biblical to attend Church every Sunday, but it's not.
The official Sunday assembly of the church is the Catholic's version of the Mosaic weekly Sabbath Day. Part of the Sabbath requirements is to assemble together:

"There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly"-Leviticus 23:3

So the tradition of weekly gathering definitely comes from the Bible.

There is only one Church per city. All these local churches were formed to keep people from the knowledge of God. To keep them in infancy. Satan is very clever. He has succeeded.
Because of the vast amount of corruption in the church I am thankful there isn't just one place that Christians meet in every community.
The abundance of denominations and churches do serve the good purpose of identifying and isolating the true from the false. Contrast that with the Catholic church. They have no choice but to be wholly corrupt because no one is allowed to dissent from the official doctrine of the church. So when corrupt doctrine comes in the entire church becomes corrupted. At least in Protestantism you can divide yourself away from the official false doctrine of a church, and the false can divide itself away from the rest of the church. That's a good thing.

Im not going to bash the Catholic faith because i know very little about it..but there ARE some traditions in that faith i think are still stuck in the OT traditiond...from history..the catholic church has been corrupt and swayed by power since before the days of Henry the 8th that broke from the catholic theology etc..Ralph you DO make some good points
