People who attend Church says it is biblical to attend Church every Sunday, but it's not.
Actually my church preaches that going to a building every Sunday is not necessary and where there are 2-3 gather to discuss the goodness of Jesus is church! Although I do go to church because I truly enjoy the fellowship I do not feel condemned when I am not there!

Going to church and belonging to a church allows me and my family to be under a covenant. When my friends, associates and random strangers say...”I’ll pray for you...” there’s no guarantee BUT when my pastor prays for his congergation IM INCLUDED and who doesn’t need prayers for!

Anyway! That’s what I believe.

Im not going to bash the Catholic faith because i know very little about it..but there ARE some traditions in that faith i think are still stuck in the OT traditiond...from history..the catholic church has been corrupt and swayed by power since before the days of Henry the 8th that broke from the catholic theology etc..Ralph you DO make some good points
people like ralph and beta blame the catholic church for anything they do not like. the catholic church has done some bad things, but believers were already meeting on the first day of the week . the catholics just made it official.

now, as far as Ralph's church goes, he has stated himself that they judge a person's behavior, and decide who can come and who can't based on that.

just ask him. he will brag about it.

Isnt that what catholics do to? Ive heard that in order to divorce in the catholic church or get an annulment..you have to prove GROUNDS for the divorce but the church can still say they condonr it or not..and if they dont you cant marry again in a catholic church? Dont know..this is just what i heard from a catholic friend..like i said..im learning right along here..no judgements..

Not EVERY church is like that thankfully!
My dear....that is what they all say regarding their own. Do you think the Lord of the Sabbath is found in a church which prefers/observes sunday ? Different L(l)ord - different S(s)pirit. It's just that some manage to disguise it better than others.....and Oh how easily people are deceived.....was myself for 50 years.

Like i first said.question to OP is NO..its not Biblical to go to church every sunday..but it IS biblical to not forsake the "gathering" aka church.
It is not just a question of gathering as Believers, but of LIKE-MINDED. And sure enough there are true believers and false/deceived believers....not successful to meet together as we can see from this forum. JESUS/Yashua said that MANY will be deceived, that points to majority not the few.

Because of the vast amount of corruption in the church I am thankful there isn't just one place that Christians meet in every community.
The abundance of denominations and churches do serve the good purpose of identifying and isolating the true from the false. Contrast that with the Catholic church. They have no choice but to be wholly corrupt because no one is allowed to dissent from the official doctrine of the church. So when corrupt doctrine comes in the entire church becomes corrupted. At least in Protestantism you can divide yourself away from the official false doctrine of a church, and the false can divide itself away from the rest of the church. That's a good thing.
People that attend church, are Christians, but they are babies. They got to mature. Your unable to do that under a different covering. Church covering, blocks the Holy Spirit

Someone once told me Sunday was arranged for people to go to church because it was the only day off for workers who worked all week and Saturday, back in the time when people had jobs as servants and hard workers in factories, mines ect. . Not sure if that is true but it was an interesting point.
I have also learnt from visiting a local mine that the shift leader looked out at church to make sure all the men working for him attended . If not, they got a telling off on Monday.

But..the difference of a "true believer" and a "false deciever" is thier HEART..one could be a true believer and not have the insight or understanding that others do and will comment regarding THIER understanding (based on THIER walk with the Lord) does that mean hes a deciever? No..its the motives of the heatt..and whose the ONLY one that can be the judge of hearts?

The Holy Spirit dwells within us..shouldnt make a difference the 4 walls of a church..the denomination..the time of service..the day..etc..thats all OUR PREFERENCE...and we SET our preferences by our beliefs and personal walks with the Lord...

Since you see their error will you also please be aware that THEY brought in SUNDAY-OBSERVANCE under pain of death and persecution if found to JUDAIZE by Sabbath-keeping. This hatred of Jews has spread throughout christianity to this very day even on this forum. There is NO loving your enemy in their teaching as was amply proven in the Holocaust instigated by christian Germany. The RCC has much to answer....I should know, was one for 50 years before God opened my eyes and brought me out of it !

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrew 10 24-25
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Ex 20, 8-1
1

As you know, we have changed our day of rest in our modern societies to Sunday, so we keep Sunday holy as the seventh day even though it is the first day in our working week. I don't think the Lord minds which day it is as long as we make one day holy to rest and to recharge our batteries and to assemble and build each other up for the week ahead. That is what church is for, building up.We should go to church prepared and with the expectancy of God using us, if it is with a word of encouragement, picture or a song or to great, serve coffee or put out the chairs. We should not get hung up on the name of the day but make sure we take a day to rest and assemble with the saints.
In the new Testament the new church, 'The Way', met every day in the temple courts. They then went back to their homes to hold small meetings and to break bread with each other. I love having church at home as well as the larger meeting , which are for teaching. The smaller meetings were to discus what was told in the larger meetings. That is why the women, who were before never allowed to attend, suddenly were allowed and had a lot of questions to ask. They were told to wait until they got home, to ask their husbands, as the main assembly in the temple had to have some order and flow.

General Booth, founder of the Salvation Army sad no defence is necessary for preaching in public. But it would take long arguement to prove that a man who never preaches beyond the walls of his meeting house has done his job.I have long favored public worship and baptisim. God didn't invent churches, man did. God didn't create man for church either. Saving sermons for the saved defeats the purpose of the sermon. Communions, weddings etc. that's different. We should want people to see us happy and blessed or what's the point?

no, they did not . stop lying. believers were already meeting on the fist day of the week, the catholics just made it official.

you need to learn to accept truth. John said he was in the Sprit on the Lord's Day, he did not say Sabbath.

It is amazing how many people still rely on their heart to guide them in spite of what scripture says about it.
Jer 17v9, The heart is 'deceitful above all things and 'desperately wicked........
Since GOD is the only one to read it correctly it is HIS WORD that will lead us into truth - through HIS Spirit....not anything our human emotions conjure up which the devil relies on.
