yes. i of was convinced of the scripture long before i ever heard of this Calvin guy ((tbh i think Hobbes is the brains of the pair)).
you'll notice scripture is what i quote, not human philosophers or theologians. :)
If I remember correctly you aren't Calvinist leaning anyway. You are Hyper/Free-grace, right? You think you're saved no matter what....even if you stop believing. Right?

According to the moderators..youre not supposed to use the hyper grace crap..theres a whole thread by the mod bout it so im not gonna get mixed up in your entanglement
Hyper/Free-grace is pushed all day long in this forum. It's just not recognized as that by name. As long as you don't call it out by it's formal name I guess there is no problem.

I was just trying to show how the verse you supplied (1Cor7:15) isn't saying what you're saying it's saying. ;) (when you look into verse 12--"if any brother have an unpersuaded [G571] wife...")
Did you bring up the analogy of human husband and wife to prove 'once saved always saved'?

Leaving salvation being the same to you as being tempted and disobediant?
No.
Leaving salvation means you no longer believe and trust in Christ for the forgiveness of sin (salvation). It does not mean you continuing to trust in Christ for forgiveness of sin but having a bad day and caving into temptation because you are weak or ignorant, or stupid.

How can you "leave" your salvation?
By no longer believing in Christ as the payment for your sin.

That's called H---G----.

It's the new 'once saved always saved' doctrine sweeping through the church. Now even unbelievers will inherit the kingdom when Christ comes back! Wow! Talk about ear tickling doctrines!

Bawk! Bawk!

Chicken. :p

As long as you don't use the name 'H----G----' it won't be recognized as talking about that. All you have to do is continue to talk about how you are saved even if you stop believing and no one will realize you're talking about the forbidden subject. Now that you know what it is (or at least what part of it is) you can see it's talked about very openly and plainly in this forum. I think the forbiddennessnessness of it is in regard to it's prosperity gospel component.

You're thinking of the old Calvinist version of 'once saved always saved', which I respect. At least it said you had to continue to believe to the very end to be saved in the very end. It's on it's way out. Calvinist 'once saved always saved' will be dead soon.

Oh, and by the way, no it has not. It didn't worm it's way into the church until the reformation. It had been soundly rejected by the church up to that point. You did not know this, apparently.

No, I'm pretty sure it's satan that says unbelievers will inherit the kingdom of God. Pretty certain about that.

I didn't bring up the analogy of human husband and wife... at least not in the sense you are thinking. If I recall (I'll have to go back and look), I brought up the fact that "you have been put to death to the law, by [means of] the body of Christ..." and the text goes on to say "to belong [G1096 - genesthai ] to Another, to the One having been raised out from the dead, so that..." (Romans 7:4)

Is that what you might be referring to?

This has to do with "death" and "Life"...
