Cee What about when Paul says:

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, “Clear evidence of the righteous judgment of יהוה, in order for you to be counted worthy of the reign of יהוה, for which you also suffer, since יהוה shall rightly repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give you who are afflicted rest with us when the Master יהושע is revealed from heaven with His mighty messengers, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know יהוה, and on those who do not obey the Good News of our Master יהושע Messiah, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Master and from the esteem of His strength, when He comes to be esteemed in His set-apart ones and to be admired among all those who believe in that Day, because our witness to you was believed.”

in the first few words of this latest piece of junk you call theology, you stated that Paul called the O.T. the Gospel of Christ .

that is a flat out lie.
what Paul said was- "..... the Gospel He promised beforehand through His Prophets in the Holy Scriptures...….

so, Paul said the Gospel came through the Prophets ion

way, way back, at the fist part of this fountain of mis-imformation, you lie, flat out lie, and say that Paul called the O.T. the Gospel of Christ.

what he actually said was the Gospel came through the Prophets that were in the O.T. ( Romans 1 v. 2,3 ).

so, you take that, twist it into Paul saying the O.T. was the Gospel, then you build all the other falsehoods on this.

but, this is what lies do- just build and build on each other.

but, since you deny the truth of Trinity, you have to twist and turn and lie to try to make the O.T. and N.T. the same, which they are not.
You are a bitter troubled angry man G9. The Word which became Flesh call His Gospel "the Law and Prophets". He came to fulfill it, His Gospel.

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

What other scriptures could He be speaking of? Of course you will not answer.

Rom. 1:
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Habakkuk is in the Old Testament G9.

SO Paul was spiritualy resting while physically laboring and will be phsically resting when entering the kingdom of YHWH?

Can you point to a Scripture that says the rest in Messiah is now, while we are in the flesh and not after our bodies are dead as Rev 14:13 says?
There’s a few.

Here’s one:

Jews hadn’t yet entered into His rest. Even though they did observe the Sabbath. Because God’s rest isn’t just a week day. It’s resting from our works.

Hebrews 4:9-11 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.

This context is discussing tribulation. So Paul is saying you will be free of it.

The word you underlined if you look in the Greek is the word, “repose”.

It’s anesin. It’s also translated freedom, liberty, and ease.

https://biblehub.com/greek/anesin_425.htm

The idea behind it is basically a respite. It’s not the same word for Sabbath.

So my answer is this is talking about continuing to endure persecution. And they will have relief with Paul afterwards.

But the rest of God is from our works. This is the Sabbath. The relief, respite, repose of God is from persecution and tribulation.

Yeah and we are back at where we were when we discussed this before, we clearly have differnt understanding of Hebrews 4

Yes it is not the same word for Sabbath, just as Messiah saying "I will give you rest" is not sabbath:

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

SO you said it about tribulation, so are you saying the believers in Yahshua/Jesus will be pre-tribulation raptures? I would say I disagree with this.

I am not angry. I am direct. though it does tick me off when anyone mocks someone coming to trust Jesus for salvation.

you made the statement that Paul called the O. T. the Gospel of Christ. I pointed out what Paul said in the first part of the letter. ''

he wrote these words after those words. so, Paul made a direct statement on the Gospel coming through the Prophets in the O.T. anything else he said afterward should be interpreted by that statement.

which takes us back to square one. if you have a translation that quotes Paul as directly saying what you claim he said, produce that translation for all to see.

if not, then you are simply making claims with nothing to back them up with.

When did the First Covenant END, and when did the Second Covenant Start?

You never thought about that DID YOU?

It started no earlier than HIS RESURRECTION, and most will say AT THE DAY OF PENTECOST after His Resurrection.
Hebrews is clear....His death and shed blood ratified the covenant..........it is not in force until the DEATH of the one who gave it!.....Just like a will!

Ex. 31:.15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Ex. 21:12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death.

17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

I find men's hatred of this one commandment fascinating. No wonder the Word which became Flesh made it His Test Commandment.

I would say Paul believes we are obligated under the New covenant.

Rom. 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Is that a yes?

That the Church must obey Exodus 31:15 and put to death those who do not keep the Sabbath according to the law of Moses?

Does your Church put to death Sabbath violators?

Not saying that. I am saying in that passage Paul is saying we can have rest from tribulations on the great Day.

Pre-tribulation is an entirely different topic, most pre tribs I’ve found agree we have some tribulation just not the wrath of God.

Actually the New Covenant is the change in the Priesthood. If you would note, Jesus forgave sins for 3 years without ever once sprinkling a drop of blood or killing one goat.

Jer. 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

No more Levitical Priesthood "works of the Law" for atonement of sins. The New Covenant.
Now that was the longest post EVERY. Do you know how to tell if you have struck a NERVE. They get very long winded trying to impress you with Many Words. You did not impress me, in fact, I skipped over most of the LONG WINDED POST.

Proverbs 17:27-28 (NLT2)
27 A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.
28 Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

Ecclesiastes 5:2 (ASV)
2 Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Matthew 6:7 (NASB)
7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words.

Wisdom also comes from the Apocrypha.

Sirach 32:8 (NRSV)
8 Be brief; say much in few words; be as one who knows and can still hold his tongue.
Sirach 32:8 (NJB)
8 Keep to the point, say much in few words; give the impression of knowing but not wanting to speak.

Sirach 20:13 (NRSV)
13 The wise make themselves beloved by only few words, but the courtesies of fools are wasted.

No, the Levitical Priesthood, was NEVER intended to be a method to atonement of sins.

The Old Testament Saints are those WHO BELIEVED GOD WOULD SEND A MESSIAH.

The New Testament Saints are those WHO BELIEVE GOD DID SEND A MESSIAH.

IT IS THE SAME FAITH, THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM.

In Hebrews 4, the Sabbaton rest is the word Katapauo. When Jesus says I will give you Rest He is using the word, Anapauo. Similar words.

So, I looked at every instance of Sabbaton in the NT. And it’s fairly small, most of them are stories of events. I.E. On the Sabbath day this happened, usually it is concerning Jews on these days.

Teachings about Sabbath are mostly Jesus explaining to Pharisees about their perception of Him “breaking the Sabbath”.

Other instances we see Paul saying be convinced of Sabbath days yourself. And Hebrews 4.

For it being a sacred commandment that some believe is a super important teaching we follow today, even believing many go to hell for it. NT Scripture is rather quiet about it.

Yes, I’m talking about the rest of Sabbaton in Hebrews 4. It’s very similar word to Jesus saying enter into my rest.

You’ll notice if you reread Hebrews 4 it’s saying unbelief isn’t entering into His rest.

Those who haven’t entered in are not resting from their works. And this is written to Hebrews, many Jews were struggling about going back to the old ways to avoid intense persecution.

His warning is to those who try to go back to the Old System. There is no rest available that’s not in Christ. And later the writer explains that Christ is the only acceptable sacrifice left.

The Sabbath and circumcision were signs between the Jews and God. They were to show their need for rest. Rest that only Christ could give (Hebrews 4:9-11).

The Law was given to the Jews. So they would know they needed mercy when He came. However we as Gentiles didn’t come through Moses. We come through the promise of Abraham.

In Romans 2 Paul explains Gentiles don’t have the Law, but what was in our heart was a law unto ourselves. Showing we also needed His mercy.

Does the Law still exist? Yes, but for us, we have died to it. So that we might be reborn in Christ.

In Christ, our promise comes through Abraham 430 years before the Law was given.

The 10 Commandments were never for us. They were for the Jews. And Paul who was Jewest of Jews counted it all dung. So that he could instead have Christ.

We are not lead by the Law. We are lead by the Lord. The ministry of condemnation is no longer needed because the greater ministry of glory is here.

“The Law was given until...” Until the Savior could come. And now we are lead by the Spirit of the Lord.

But for those who still try to live by the Law, they must keep it all or will be guilty over even the smallest point.

But those who want true Sabbath rest found ONLY in Christ. There is a narrow way for them to cease from their works.

Not Scriptually true, true incommon teaching but I can easily disprove this, however tradition dies hard...

Isaiah 56:1-7, “Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil. And let not the son of the gentile who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and are holding onto My covenant: to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. Also the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant, them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their ascending offerings and their sacrifices are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

Numbers 15:15-16, “One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה. One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”

Exodus 12:47-49, “All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is nativeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”

Sabbath and Law of YHWH for the Gentiles that follow YHWH as well as the Hebrews. Scriptual fact, however I know even when reading it plainly most will not accept it because they have believed different for years.

Yes Gentiles don't have the Law because they grow up not knowing YHWHm as shown above when they come to know Him it is the same Law for Hebrew and Gentile. Here:

Romans 3:1-2,1 What then is the advantage of the Yehuḏi, or what is the value of the circumcision?"2 Much in every way! Because firstly indeed, that they were entrusted with the Words of Elohim."

Jews grew up knowing the word...and there is this:

Acts 10:34-35,34 And opening his mouth, Kĕpha said, “Truly I see that Elohim shows no partiality,"35 but in every nation, he who fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."

The first 2 lines have already been Scriptualy disproven, and for the third, read ONE MORE VERSE:

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

But for those who still try to live by the Law, they must keep it all or will be guilty over even the smallest point.

But those who want true Sabbath rest found ONLY in Christ. There is a narrow way for them to cease from their works.
Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”

Yes the true Sabbath is only in the Messiah I agree, however it starts in the Sabbath millenium...

The MEssiah was born on the 4th millenium, the sun was created in the 4th day... then:

Hosheyah 6:1-3, “Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up. After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him. So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.”

"After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up"

4+3=7...

the 7th "day"

2 Peter 3:8, “But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Is this:

Rev 20:4-6, "And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהושע and because of the Word of Ylohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection. Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of YHWH and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."

or just go with tradition...

Yes, I’m talking about the rest of Sabbaton in Hebrews 4. It’s very similar word to Jesus saying enter into my rest.
I disagree:

Hebrews 4:9 is this

4520. sabbatismos ►
Strong's Concordance
sabbatismos: a sabbath rest
Original Word: σαββατισμός, οῦ, ὁ
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Transliteration: sabbatismos
Phonetic Spelling: (sab-bat-is-mos')
Short Definition: a Sabbath rest
Definition: a keeping of the Sabbath, a Sabbath rest.

Mat 11:28 is this

373. anapauó ►
Strong's Concordance
anapauó: to give rest, give intermission from labor, by impl. refresh
Original Word: ἀναπαύω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: anapauó
Phonetic Spelling: (an-ap-ow'-o)
Short Definition: I make to rest, give rest to, rest, take my ease
Definition: I make to rest, give rest to; mid. and pass: I rest, take my ease.

No its a metaphor of the kingdom of YHWH... I have said this over and over, it explained a bit in my last post...

Like I said the rest of Sabbaton. Not Sabbaton. It’s the word right next to it in the verse. Are you seriously telling me you didn’t understand me? The word rest there is Katapauo.

You keep saying it’s a metaphor of the Kingdom, but the context doesn’t teach that. You are reading way into it.

But if you agree the Kingdom is in Christ, you’re not far off. If you think this is talking about the physical Kingdom. I don’t agree.

This is flat out pointing to Christ. All of Hebrews points to Him. Even explaining that we must strive to enter that rest TODAY.

Also it says right in the verse, those who have not entered in are in unbelief.

Looking just at this verse and not posting a bunch of other Scriptures please explain how you read v9-11. No other Scriptures just those in context.
