The Sabbath and circumcision were signs between the Jews and God. They were to show their need for rest. Rest that only Christ could give (Hebrews 4:9-11).
The Law was given to the Jews. So they would know they needed mercy when He came. However we as Gentiles didn’t come through Moses. We come through the promise of Abraham.
Not Scriptually true, true incommon teaching but I can easily disprove this, however tradition dies hard...
Isaiah 56:1-7, “Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil.
And let not the son of the gentile who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and are holding onto My covenant: to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. Also
the sons of the gentile who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant, them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their ascending offerings and their sacrifices are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
Numbers 15:15-16, “One law is for you of the assembly and for the
stranger who sojourns with you – a law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה.
One Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”
Exodus 12:47-49, “All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a
stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to יהוה, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
One law shall be to him that is nativeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”
Sabbath and Law of YHWH for the Gentiles that follow YHWH as well as the Hebrews. Scriptual fact, however I know even when reading it plainly most will not accept it because they have believed different for years.
In Romans 2 Paul explains Gentiles don’t have the Law, but what was in our heart was a law unto ourselves. Showing we also needed His mercy.
Does the Law still exist? Yes, but for us, we have died to it. So that we might be reborn in Christ.
In Christ, our promise comes through Abraham 430 years before the Law was given.
Yes Gentiles don't have the Law because they grow up not knowing YHWHm as shown above when they come to know Him it is the same Law for Hebrew and Gentile. Here:
Romans 3:1-2,1 What then is the advantage of the Yehuḏi, or what is the value of the circumcision?"2 Much in every way! Because firstly indeed,
that they were entrusted with the Words of Elohim."
Jews grew up knowing the word...and there is this:
Acts 10:34-35,34 And opening his mouth, Kĕpha said, “Truly I see that Elohim shows no partiality,"35 but
in every nation, he who fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."
The 10 Commandments were never for us. They were for the Jews. And Paul who was Jewest of Jews counted it all dung. So that he could instead have Christ.
We are not lead by the Law. We are lead by the Lord. The ministry of condemnation is no longer needed because the greater ministry of glory is here.
“The Law was given until...” Until the Savior could come. And now we are lead by the Spirit of the Lord.
The first 2 lines have already been Scriptualy disproven, and for the third, read ONE MORE VERSE:
Luke 16:16-17, "
The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But
it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."
But for those who still try to live by the Law, they must keep it all or will be guilty over even the smallest point.
But those who want true Sabbath rest found ONLY in Christ. There is a narrow way for them to cease from their works.
Romans 2:12, “For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law.”
Yes the true Sabbath is only in the Messiah I agree, however it starts in the Sabbath millenium...
The MEssiah was born on the 4th millenium, the sun was created in the 4th day... then:
Hosheyah 6:1-3, “
Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up.
After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him. So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.”
"
After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up"
4+3=7...
the 7th "day"
2 Peter 3:8, “But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
Is this:
Rev 20:4-6, "And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהושע and because of the Word of Ylohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And
they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection. Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of YHWH and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."
or just go with tradition...
