Hi everyone, I'm in a bad way at the moment faith wise. I'm finding it very difficult to believe the things that I've believed my whole life.

My life is becoming more worldly, and I am really struggling with having a lot of anger and hatred which I can't get rid of. I consider myself to be an absolutely disgraceful person who is rotten to the core. I can't control my personality any more and I hate the person I'm becoming. I can't remember the last time I did something nice for someone. My most common feeling is hatred.

I don't know many Christians any more, and I feel like my spiritual life is spiraling out of control. I don't know what to do, and if I did know, I wouldn't know how to do it.

Please pray about this. I know what kind of evil I'm capable of and things need to change before I do something I really regret.

Dear Jesus Christ Our Lord, I ask that you reach out and pull sharp close to your heart.
Remember sharp, to look always at Jesus, He is the one that brings all to good.
Im always praying for you, You are closer than you know to Jesus.
God bless.

Sharp,I know what you mean,I went through the same thing in my life but let me tell you this, brother, look to the cross and think of what Jesus did there for you.It took me over 20 years to find my way back to that cross,I went through drug addiction, almost 15 years in prison and nearly being crushed by depression but remember that greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world. That road is no good but the emeny will try to convince you that it is.Remember, the pleasure of sin is only for a short season, then the condemnation sets in.You will be in my prayers but the best thing to do is hit your knees, lift your head and cry out to Jesus.
Father,I pray for this brother in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ our LORD.I pray that You cleanse his mind and strengthen his spiritual man, remind him that You will never leave or forsake him, that You will stick closer than a brother,God bless and keep you, brother,AMEN

Dear precious brother Luke !!!

Dear brother Luke, I can see that negative spirits have a hold on you right now. You do not have to let them keep you down. They keep telling you what a rotten person you are because you slipped up and did a couple of lousy things. So, they are taking advantage of your guilt to tell you that you are not worthy to have Jesus in your life.

Remember, the Apostle Paul spent all his time murdering Christians. Did God shun him? No, Jesus made him one of His favorite and trusted Apostles.

I ask forgiveness of my sins, I cast out all negative and doubting spirits from me, take away my hatred and anger, replace then with faith overflowing, peace, tranqulity, joy and ask the Lord to fill me with His Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, Amen.

Remember brother, believing isn't a feeling. That wonderful feeling we get when The Holy Spirit comes to us and fills us with such joy that it would be difficult to walk through life that way? The feeling (The Holy Spirit) comes and goes , but Jesus is with us always.

Talk with our best friend and Savior often. Next time you think about doing something, ask Jesus what He thinks. Find a local church, no doubt you will find many loving and caring brothers and sisters there. God has a wonderful joy-filled life waiting for you, don't settle for anything less. Read His word a little everyday, talk to Him, even if just to say good morning Jesus, help me have a good day, thank you.

I pray that Jesus will cast all negative spirits and thoughts from you and pour out His richest blessings upon you, in Jesus name, Amen. You are a child of The All powerful God, what could be bad ?

Have a wonderful day in Jesus brother :D

Love in Jesus
bro Gary

Got you on my prayer list Luke

Remember, the fact that you posted this prayer request means you still want something of God in your life, don't let anyone (not even yourself...) tell you that you're not worthy, or that God doesn't care.

I think sometimes some of us need to stray for a while to realize what's best for us (kinda like the prodigal son).
I recommend that you watch The Imposter, and/ or read (if it is published down there) a book called "Snow in hell" by David

I'll pray for you dude. Stay close to your friends here, they will help a lot :)

I will pray for you. I was hateful at your age and mean and actually diagnosed with bipolar. Keep praying, ask for forgiveness and ask Jesus into your heart (if hyou havent) Its all in Gods timing. I was a devoted christian my whole life with a meanhorrible attitude until age 33. You may need a church that you absolutely love with loving people. I used to swear constant and even had preists pray over me, but couldnt stop finally I just drew really close to Jesus finally felt the Holy Spirit alive in me. Try listening to Klove radio station contemporary christan music it will change your life and attitude

God works through our weaknesses. Someday you will be pulled through your anger and hate and will be able to tell others how the Lord worked in your life! And how the Lord changed you.

EDIT: Why didn't I look at the age of this thread, instead of the most recent post *sigh*

I'm not going to deconvert you, or put words to that influence, but I have seen deconversions before to know disgust with oneself is a common initial feature to the guilt of 'doubting'; but I don't know to what extent your opinion of yourself justified or just a differently built guilt conscience going into withdrawal symptoms.

What I can say is that I think one can decide to be a good person. No single deed is going to make you feel like a good person (bar a quick repreval). Deal with your weaknesses first and remind and find virtues you do believe in. Self-perception won't change over-night but i'd say its just something to deal with and keep working at.

Don't worry about the age of this thread, your input is still valued mate.

I'm not quite sure I got the jist of what you're saying, but there's no way I can decide to be a good person, and there's no way I can just make up values based on my own beliefs and follow them. They would be the values of a person, which are ultimately sinful. I can only not feel like a rotten person if I can see that my life is being lived in accordance with God's will as outlined in the bible. This is not because I'm the victim of a good brainwashing, but because God is real.

Amen sharp! :)
One can do othing in ones own acts and walk, but when living in Jesus Christ is Lord, everything that is good , holy and loving is given.
For it is in our weakness, that God's power brings perfect!

God bless.

1 John 4:20

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can[a] he love God whom he has not seen?

Well clearly hatred is not one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. In fact it's the opposite.

Galatians 5:22-25

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

So really examine yourself and ask yourself if the Holy Spirit is really dwelling in you. This is something that is between you and God. My only advice is truly seek God and His will. Which is for you to confess your sins to Him, repent if you understand that sin leads to death and disgusts God, ask Him to cleanse you, and follow Him.

Matthew 7:16 (New King James Version)

16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

John 15:5 (New King James Version)

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
