Should be evident. If you believe you can lose your salvation then you have something to do with 'keeping' your salvation. That is a works-based plan. On the other hand, if you are trusting Jesus Christ to keep that which you have committed to Him - then you acknowledge that you have nothing to do with keeping yourself - which is a grace-based salvation.

It has to be one or the other.

When did Judas ever get saved prior to the crucifixion? Do you even know the "Message of the Cross?"
Judas was baptizes. Judas baptizes others., Judas was anointed. Judas was empowered. Judas cast out Devils. Judas healed the sick. Judas preached the gospel. Was Judas saved? Or did He go to hell?

24 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen

25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place." Acts 1:24-25 NASB

The bible says Judas was a apostle (which means he was saved). Many believe that you can stop believing in who Jesus is, and what Jesus has done and remain in the body of Christ. This is false doctrine from demon spirits.

The Word gives the impression that Judas was Satan incarnate.

1. Jesus called him a devil.
2. He went to his own place.
3. He is referred to as the 'son of perdition).

Here is an article suggesting that the Antichrist will be a reincarnated Judas Iscariot.

"Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith" (II Timothy 3:8).

The sorcerers were able to do the same acts as Moses did . . . did that ability to perform miracles come from God?

and no . . . being an apostle does not infer salvation . . . even Peter admits that he did not understand the gospel until after the cross. You can only be saved through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Yes, he did.
And Jimmy Swaggart does not teach that a member in Christ can lose their Salvation. So you're fraud is realized in slandering his ministry.
Judas repented before he hung himself. And unawares he died not knowing that from the cross Jesus forgave everyone who was responsible for his being nailed there. And this after he instructed Judas to go and do what he must do in order for God's salvation mission for Christ to begin.
Got that?

Does Jimmy Swaggart believe in eternal security?
(1) Jimmy Swaggart says he believes in eternal security, that is "conditional eternalsecurity," but not unconditional eternal security! By stating that, Swaggart has just confused the issue and muddied the waters by his new term invention! The truth is, the teaching of eternal security is the same as unconditional eternal security.

But not a JSM URL.

Jimmy Swaggart teaches that you are eternally saved. And he also teaches that the Bible tells us those who are in Christ do not make a habit of sinning. If they do they never knew Christ.
People can backslide. That doesn't mean Christ drops them from His hand. Those people can return back to Christ and they are in covenant.
God knows who will come to His son by name. And before He created the world. Who argues God got it wrong? Especially when Jesus said no one will ever take us from his hand.

That which insists eternal salvation is not real because it is saying people can act like the Devil and see Heaven, and that is why eternal security in Salvation is not true, are working from a false premise that not even the scriptures sustain. The scriptures never say that. The scriptures talk about eternal security which is an irrevocable gift of God's grace.

Rather than try to tell Christians they're not really secure in Christ, such teachers should grab a dictionary and find out what "irrevocable" means. And readers of them should realize they're reading someone who is telling you God is a liar.
Now that is an example of someone who is not eternally secure.
Because they're making a habit of sinning. And we know what the scriptures also say about that.

There is a huge difference between losing one's salvation and having never known Christ.

Judas Iscariot was an unbelieving, unclean devil who would betray Jesus (John 6:64-71: 13:10-11). Doesn’t sound like “saved” to me.

Question? Based on the following scriptures are these people who are called Disciples still saved in John 6:66?

John 6:53 - "Except you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you have no life in you," (presents the demand that caused "many of His Disciples to go back, and walk no more with Him" (John 6:66). It does the same presently! This Verse tells us the degree of believing that is required; it refers to the Cross being the total Object of one's belief; failing that, there is no Life in you).

John 6:66 - From that time many of His Disciples went back, and walk no more with Him.

After Jesus’ teaching, we read in John 6:60 that “many of his disciples...said, ‘This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” These are the very so called "disciples" who Jesus said, “DO NOT BELIEVE ” (vs. 64).

In John 8:31, Jesus said - "If you continue in My word, then you are TRULY disciples of Mine." Those who do not continue in His word demonstrate that they are NOT TRULY disciples of Jesus.

Jesus had not died yet. At this point He was an itinerant preacher working a circuit. Some of the followers went back home. Nothing to do with whether they were saved or not. Those that were believers before the cross were under the Old Testament economy where they kept the covenant or ceased to be covered. Totally different from what we have after the cross (which you have no concept of) and the sealing of the Holy Spirit.

Where was the Holy Spirit prior to Pentecost?

Notice! Jesus called these people Disciples. Which means they were saved. But now they are no longer saved (John 6:66). The scripture says, "THEY WALK NO MORE!!!!!!!." This should be a warning to every Believer!

Many years ago I was friends with my elderly pastor. He was a friend of my wife's family. He made the statement that he preached Christ risen because if he preached Christ crucified he might not get to the resurrection which is very important to the Crucifixion

It is obvious to the casual observer that you are wacko. You do not take single verses. The context and other related parts of scripture must be used. This is simple theological methods.

Because he preached another gospel he was double cursed and not saved.
