I think it is the 11th commandment . . . Thou shalt not be wealthy - Thou art to giveth it all to the Catholic church.

I asked this question in another post---
What constitutes being rich?
How much more than food and clothing does one have to have before you judge him rich?
Is not everyone on this forum rich?
They have internet and a PC or fancy phone.

Compared to the standards of most of this world, Americans are all very wealthy - including those living on government handouts.

The CEO of BCA ( bank central Asia ) give an analogy. A million dollar and some banana was put oN the table side by side. Than a monkey was asked to chose, the monkey chose banana.

The monkey do not know that a million dollar can buy tons of banana that is why this monkey chose banana.

Mark 10:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

King James Version (KJV)

Prosperity theology pricher asked to chose, billion dollar or close to Jesus?

He chose billion dollar, he say with that money he can closer to Jesus.

And I ask, why Jesus say easier camel go through the eye of the nedle than rich man to enter to heaven?
A rich man cannot enter heaven regardless, because they love money and not people.

Creation testifies there is a God, and of the two greatest laws, love God, and love people, so the world is without excuse, and how the world that never heard the word of God will be judged, and by their conscience.

Love works no ill towards their neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

God set up the operation of the world for people to love each other, which includes caring about helping them with their needs.

Jesus told the rich man to sell all he has and give to the poor, and then he would be perfect, but he went away sad for he did not want to do it, so Jesus said it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven.

Now some will argue that is is still possible for a rich man to enter heaven, but point blank they cannot for they love money more than people, and they say that to justify heaping money, and using money for their wants.

But Paul said the love of money is the root of all evil, and that is because it neglects the poor and needy, and is in violation of how God created the earth to operate among it's inhabitants called people.

That is why Paul said he could have all faith as to remove mountains, but if he did not have charity, love in action, then he is nothing.

And said if a person preaches that God blesses with money, and material things, for their wants, withdraw yourselves from them, having food and clothing, be content.

And that is why James said without charity their faith is dead.

And that is why John said without charity the love of God does not dwell in them, so do not love in word only, but in deed and in truth.

The rich man may have said he loves people, but he did not want to do it in deed and in truth by selling all he had and give to the poor, for that is how you truly love them by helping them with their needs.

Like Jesus said if you do not obey Him you do not love Him, because it is more than saying Jesus, I love you.

And herein is the love of God that we obey His commandments, because it is more than saying God, I love you.

If you love money you fall victim to money is the root of all evil, for you care about money for your selfish wants, and not caring about the poor and needy which is love.

Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

I don't think any nation does it better in lukewarm people, and loving money, and material things, than America.

And I was soooo looking forward to meeting Abraham one day . . . but I guess not, he was a filthy sinning rich man.

There is only ONE way a camel can go through an eye of a needle.

The camel needs to be completely crushed into tiny particles that can then fit through.
well, if you had a reaaaaallly big needle . . .

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Matthew 6:21). Do you tithe or are you a hypocrite?

The prosperity Gospel is not anything new really.

Jesus’ comment about a rich man’s salvation would have been difficult for some Jewish people in this period to accept because they held to a form of “prosperity theology.” If people prospered, it was evidence of God’s blessing on them (NKJ study notes)

wealth was seen as proof of God’s approval, it was commonly taught by the rabbis that rich people were blessed by God and therefore, go to heaven.

I think this is why the disciples said

Matthew 19:25
25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”

And Jesus said

Matthew 19:26
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

But note he never said it's impossible for the materially rich

V23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Having lots of money is not an issue.
Having lots Money, wealth is not evil.
The love of money is the root of evil.

The love of money and wealth was the issue for the rich young man.
He loved it more than God and did not want to give it up.
Seem to me Jesus believe there is correlation between treasures and hearth

Matthew 6:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

King James Version (KJV)

This verse may not happen to every body, but I believe It happen to most people. Jesus know everything He not say that If not back up by reality.

In other word Jesus say rich people focus oN their treasures.

This is false and not according to Scripture. It is the LOVE of money which is the root of all evil. Wealth is neutral.
Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil — this is a gift of God.
(Ecclesiastes 5:19)

I guess that God sent Job to hell also after He restored Job's riches.
Matthew 6:21 King James Version (KJV)

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

King James Version (KJV)

I think this verse apply to most people, If not why Jesus state It.

I think this verse apply to most people, If not why Jesus state It.
The verse applies to everyone.
But here is where many misunderstand-------
God blesses some with wealth. The bible is filled with these very Godly men who were faithful to God while also being rich.
When people associate all who have wealth with being lost and hell bound they ignore that God often bless some with wealth.
Wealth has nothing to do with one being lost or saved.
There are probably more poor lost than wealthy.

What do you believe make a man wealth? How much money, property, assets?
