I cannot get videos to play on youtube… they keep erroringYikes! I'm having trouble posting videos this morning! LOL!

Hey Bob, wow, I had chicken with dinner LOL. Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble with your devices and internet service. Do you have speakers or ear phones/buds yet? I hope that all gets sorted out for you soon. I had to buy a new laptop because the wifi on my first one stopped working after it fell on the floor at work a couple of times... my fault. Weird thing is, it will work every once in a while, like now! Now I am on my old laptop. Last time (which was recent) the wifi worked for almost a week before it stopped. Only problem is, all my most recent graphics (and the program I use with them) are on my newer laptop. I use this one mostly to watch movies and stuff
I will have to wait till next week. I can see the other router signals and I know when mine goes out the whole neighborhood does too. We built this from scrap parts about 4 weeks ago. My old laptop done bit the dust too. This one is older & slower but more reliable with 4x the memory. I've always been more interested in the lyrics than the rifs in music so the songs I quote from I already know by heart. Next week I'll be able to watch You tube and the news again plus net flix & hulu.
It sounds like maybe one of the wifi card's wires got loose. Should be able to just secure it onto the wifi card if that's the case. It's an easy fix. As for youtube videos giving you errors, I would either try a different browser (firefox, chrome, opera, etc.) or make sure your browser and adobe flash are up to date.
Been there, done that. @ different places different computers same problems, same ISP. Only one cable company has the town franchise. besides
I go via ethernet to a wireless router. There's 3 dishes on this house & we had 1 at the last place there worse. We can't change cable companies, There are none.

Thanks, Gabe, but I do not think I will try any of that... I did get a USB thing-a-ma-jiggy but it was touch and go also, always trying to connect through the terminal that was not working! grrr lol. Finally just gave up and got the new device, which is similar in many ways though superior (slightly larger, fuller keyboard, and lighter, though no DVD player). Oh, and youtube is working now, I think it was a problem with their site

Well then it sounds more like the wifi antenna inside the laptop got loose. I have no idea how or if that can be fixed. I guess a new laptop was the right choice after all.
