Bill Cosby Sentenced To 3-10 Years Behind Bars For Sexual Assault

https://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2018/09/25/bill-cosby-prison-sentence-sex-assault/

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS/AP) — Bill Cosby learned his fate inside a Montgomery County courtroom on Tuesday. The 81-year-old actor and comedian has been sentenced to no less than three years in state prison for sexually assaulting a former Temple University employee at his home in 2004. Judge Steven O’Neill handed down a sentence of no less than three years and no more than 10 behind bars. O’Neill also ruled Cosby as a “sexually violent predator.” The classification means that Cosby must undergo lifetime counseling and report quarterly to authorities. His name will appear on a sex-offender registry sent to neighbors . . .

Oh the agony of realizing that your TV idols are not worthy of worship.

The man needs to know Christ as Savior or his fate is worse than even he can imagine.

For the cause of Christ

GAL. 6:7-8.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to The Spirit
shall of The Spirit reap life everlasting.

Let's put a face on this.
Cosby being taken immediately into custody and transported to prison where he has long belonged. At 87 years of age do we think he'll serve the fullest term of his sentence?

My question is, why wait 30 or 40 years to come forward and accuse him? Especially now that he's nearing the end of his life..

It isn't the first time a famous person has been accused well after the alleged offense.
Think about Harvey Weinstein and how many years he got away with his perverse assaults against women.
Unfortunately this type behavior has spawned the Me Too movement. It is thought to be an empowerment vehicle. But really it is a deplorable self-admission of keeping silent so that predators in the movie industry could accrue more victims.

The cases were not that old, at least not all of them. I don't think a rapist's age is an excuse to turn a blind eye.

Believe it or not, it started with a comedian's stand-up routine in 2014 when he mentioned Cosby's little-known reputation as a sexual assaulter. It made people angry that he would say such a thing and an article about what he was saying was printed in a popular, widely-read magazine. All the talk about that article prompted some of cosby's old victims to come forward in public.

And the difference between cosby and kavanaugh is that cosby's victims did tell people about it after it happened but no one believed them.

I never mentioned anything about turning a blind eye, so I dunno where you get that from. And also, Cosby is 87 and most of these events happened several decades ago when he was much younger...

Not to be too picky, but Bill Cosby is 81 not 87. He was tried a couple of miles from where I live and is incarcerated a stones throw away from me. Not really thinking about visiting though.
