The bible says sin is knowing the good you ought to do but choosing not to do it.
Rom_7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. The bible says sin is knowing the good you ought to do but choosing not to do it.
Rom_7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Rom_7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
1Ti_1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
Neh_9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
Psa_119:66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.
Mat_19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Jas_4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Those are all good scriptures but i don't see your point that you're trying to make.
I know of a power that has already said to have done just that:no human can 're-define sin', this would be a satanic joke -
'Fear God and KEEP His Commandments, for this is the whole DUTY of man,..
1JOHN 5:3.
For this is the Love of God, that we keep His Commandments: and His Commandments are not grievous.
11JOHN 1:6.
And this is Love, that we walk after His Commandments. This is the Commandment,
That, as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
REV. 22:14.
Blessed are they that do His Commandments, that they may have right to The Tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.
this is no joke Brothers and Sisters, better give your whole hearts while you can, for as you can read
this is His pathway that He has set before us to 'over-come'...
Yes the question would be “how does the HOLY SPIRIT convict” of sin?I mean how would these verses apply to a non-believer?The question then becomes how then does the Holy Ghost convict of "sin"?
Joh_16:8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Joh_16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Psa_119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Psa 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
1Co_15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Rules aren’t made for people who know how to act. If everyone possessed enough common sense we wouldn’t even need traffic laws. However for those who lack the intelligence to follow social cues, or too evil and greedy to coexist in harmony with fellow man, laws need to be passed and enforced. Man apart from God is boundless in creativity and insatiable in appetite for ways to damage self and others. However, man who turns from carnal gratification as chief motivator in life is not tempted to sin. Since his or her flesh doesn’t require endless satisfaction it has no need to hate, murder, cheat steal or lie. If he or she has pledged life to the rightful owner, and surrenders all then no day is more sacred or holy. All have been dedicated. Instead of chasing glory and wealth, placing others needs ahead of self, brings only love, patience and kindness. The Christian is a new creation not bound to law because their deeds are selfless. It is not a constant battle of will and deprivation, the crucified flesh is conquered and dead. By taking your place in the Body of Christ, we are One. One entity, one purpose under Heaven, for the glory of Almighty God.
