I know what's wrong with me medically, but I'm waiting for surgery to correct it.

Does anyone else out there suffer from a haital hernia? If so, you'll know how bad it can get.

In the meantime, the symptoms are so much more than I can cope with some days. I'm trying to run a household and raise children. It's hard when I'm in constant pain an discomfort.

I pray to God that one day I can feel healthy again, and live my best life.

If you have a spare moment, please keep me in your prayers.

Thank you, friends.

I’m so sorry to hear about your health condition, Merida. Wish I could give you a hug. I know how difficult and frustrating it must be for you. Be assured of my prayers for you. May you know the comforting presence of His Holy Spirit renewing you inwardly, as well as His sovereign power, which is able to touch your body and heal you according to His perfect will. Take good care of yourself. Hugs!

Thank you. I felt the genuine kindness in your post, and I feel blessed to be here and have people care like this. I know there are worse things going on in the world, and there are so many people who could use prayers, more than I. But I have days where I just want to lay in bed and ignore the world around me...but as a wife and a mother, I can't do that. I have to keep going, no matter if I'm in pain or not. I appreciate how much you care. Thank you.

Praying for you, sis. It's nice to meet you, Merida! Glad to see another Disney Princess fan here. :giggle:
I have never had that before but I have had gallstones so I know what it's like to live with pain. I had to wait a year to have my gallbladder removed because I didn't have insurance to get my surgery done. :( That was like ten years ago.
I hope you can get your surgery soon. God bless you and your family.

Thanks so much, Ariel. Yes, I have a soft spot for all things Disney. Brave is one of my faves. The Little Mermaid is on my top 10 :)

Gallstone issues run in my family, almost everyone have had gallbladders removed. I haven't, thankfully - because I know the pain can be excruciating! I'm glad you have had it fixed, and you're doing well now. They are saying my surgery will be sometime in Spring 2019. It can't come fast enough. Thank you for caring! God bless you and your family too.

I haven't had that specific problem either, but I know the difficulty of getting through a day in pain. And the desire to ignore the world.
Sorry you're dealing with this. Hopefully the time zips by and you'll have your surgery in no time.
The ironic thing is waiting for surgery and feeling impatient, then when the time arrives being so worried about the actual surgery you wish you could avoid it haha.

Yes, indeed - I want the surgery, but am nervous about it too. I know it has to be done, but I've honestly not been put under for any surgery in my life - so I'm a bit freaked out about it. I know God will get me through it, and my family. I wish no one had to feel physical pain. Life is hard enough.

I've had a few surgeries. It's not as scary as you build it up to be in your mind. You get wheeled in and put to sleep, fast. Then you wake up. Haha.
The worst part is the final hours beforehand. And then being wheeled into the operating lobby and waiting. That's pure nerves on edge haha.

I'd just suggest seeing if there's any way to check for how you'll respond to the anesthesia.
I'm not sure how the surgery is done, but they do lots of laparoscopic surgeries, which are safer and have faster recovery times.
I just looked it up and it is indeed the most common type done on your condition. Those are easy. Just a few small holes.

Yes, the procedure itself is not too bad. It's just the waiting...😥

I know the feeling of wishing away everyone's pain, including my own

Then my heart asks, is the pain I am experiencing more or less than the pain it would feel to be cruxified upon a cross with a crown of thorns waiting for death?

It's not much comfort but sometimes I feel that our pain can be part of our cross and our testimony. Despite the darkness of this world caused by sin (often not our own), God is beside us with His light, love and comfort.
