In the case of Apostacy, God may choose to revoke it.
We cannot undo what only God can do in the first place.
That is quite contradictory, from one line to the next.

I would not delve into something where there is no biblical backing. God doesn't revoke salvation, apostates were never truly converted in the first place.

Which scripture are you referring to?
There isn't a scripture that I am aware of with the word apostate in it. The reference is to apostacy, falling away, or abandoning the faith.

1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

I must be lost then.

John 1:12
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

I agree with you.
I'm not saying we can lose our salvation of our own free will.
In the case of Apostacy, God may choose to revoke it.

I do not believe the bolded.....God CHASTENS, WHIPS, TAKES REWARDS and EVEN KILLS to bring people home.....I do not believe God revokes salvation.....it is irrevocable <----this word alone proves it cannot be revoked........!

Well you said God would revoke his decree as "justified" this does not say that?

Turning away from God and not returning to him before you die is dangerous territory.
Some claim that means you were never saved in the first place.

When the 1 walks away what does the shepherd do to the 99?

Such may be case in many (to the bolded above) but like it states....IF WE BELIEVE NOT (after belief) HE remains/abides FAITHFUL because he CANNOT DENY HIMSELF

If one has been truly born from above, by faith and the blood of Christ, JESUS will REMAIN FAITHFUL to his promises toward us BECAUSE HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF<---HIS BLOOD APPLIED, BIRTH BY HIS SPIRIT, and HIS righteousness PUT TO OUR ACCOUNT.

When I see the blood I WILL pass over you.....

You make a good point. Thanks.
Why are the wolves attacking me and not you?
Probably because they know you. (know better)

I believe in eternal security and OSAS.
But when people misuse the terms and claim what they believe to be true, there lies the problem.
I can do nothing without Christ.
I can do all things in Christ.
I'm saved and I'm staying that way because I love Jesus.

If I can earn it, It is not of grace it is of works.

You earn a wage, You earn a reward, You earn a position.

A gift of grace is freely given, It is completely unearned by the reciever, it is paid in full by the giver.

I do not ASK God for forgiveness, I come to the Throne of Grace. Admit (cpnfess) my sin, Admit I was in error. THANK GOD for forgving me, and seek his guidance on how to overcome next time I am confronted wiht thaty sin so I do not keep doing it.

It's not like a trade for trade, or working 10 hours per day sort of earning it I speak of. It's like your favorite hobby. I used to play 8/9-ball at the pool halls (billiards) because it's a skill between you and the cue, ball and pocket. I put a lot of effort into being able to see any angle off the bank or or regular shot trying move the cue ball into place for my next shot. When I chose to accept my upbringing (Grandfather and Father as ministers and in church till I could be as far AWAY as I could) and I renewed my walk in God, all of the effort and care I had for shooting pool now went into educating myself concerning God.

I care about my sins when I commit them. I care because I know this is not what God desires of me. So, my effort in general as a follower of God (not working by punching a time clock or I'll give you this for that) because I care is a lot of work and time devoted unto God. You really are not living for God until God consumes most of what you're doing because He desires to be involved in everything. So, you can be working your 9-5 job and still be praising Him while getting a paycheck!!

But basically, If you read the Bible enough to get involved into these discussions. It means, you are putting in effort to learn and be knowledgeable about God. This means you CARE!! This means you are setting time aside from others things to devote to God. It means in technical terms...Your effort, care, time, praying to know God and the scripture is a practical form of work. Because without setting aside, without caring, without giving up time, without praying, without studying, WITHOUT WORKING AND MAKING THE EFFORT, you will never know who God is!!

So please, do not misconstrue my meaning on the term earning or working for your salvation. Because if you do not give up who you used to be, you cannot become who God wants you to be. And that is time, effort, blood, sweat, tears, WORK!!

A true believer works at getting closer to God. A true believer is eating meat, not drinking the babies milk!!

Rejecting God does not revoke our salvation.
Only God can revoke our salvation. IMHO
Well you are entitled to your opinion of course, but I have not seen any scripture that supports the idea that God's revokes anyone's salvation.

To me it is a very low view of God and His promises.

What do you make of this?

Hebrews 6:4-6
It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
