When i say the tongues being spoken today are fake, i'm not guessing.

Q1. Did women in the 1st century church speak in tongues?
Q2. Do women in today's church speak in tongues?

1 Cor 14:
34Women f should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. g

36Or did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37If anyone thinks they are a prophet or otherwise gifted by the Spirit, let them acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. 38But if anyone ignores this, they will themselves be ignored.

1 Tim 2:11A woman a should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; b she must be quiet. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15But women c will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

Eph 5:22Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Q3. When did all these change?
1 Corinthians 12 to 14 discusses the spiritual gifts including tongues. In Acts the people speaking in tongues were talking in a foreign language that had visitors there hearing their own language. It happens today. A person involved with a church that practices it recorded a person doing the speaking and took it to multiple people who understood the language. Each person told the same thing about what was spoken.

lol you are guessing.

you did not read 1cor 11: 5 one of the unit chapters to be seen with chapters 12 to 14 did you?

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

Were are they praying and prophesying at? The church setting. If you understood the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the word of God in context to the gifts of the Holy Spirit, you would know that Joel 2:28
The Holy Spirit would be poured out on women, why? So they can keep silent in the church. Wrong. If you knew, what prophesying was and that women do so too. You would not be speaking in an unlearned manner.
Women are to be silent yet prophesying and prayer is allowed in the church setting at the appropriate time. That is why 1cor 11:5 is about the church setting.
Joel is prophecy that is specifically given to Israel. The Gentile church is not given those gifts of prophecy and dreaming dreams. All flesh is to receive the Holy Spirit but not all flesh is given prophecy and dreaming of dreams as put forth in Joel.

???

What kind of Bible are you studying? Or are your proclamations from sermons you heard or denominational writings? I am not saying all in your postings are untrue, but most of the statements are not according to the Bible and Christian Church history.
Same kind of you. What kind of faith are you using seeing the scripture informs us natural unconverted man has none, not a little but zero?

The faith of Christ, our new born again faith by which we can believe God not seen is the work of God . It is the work of God that we can believe. (faith is a work)

It is not of our own selves no man can seek after God if he has no understanding of who he is and what he desires. Not something we are born with .

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.Romans 3:11

From my experience many do not accredit faith to God . Faith is a work. The same faith in Ephesians 2 is that of James2 or Hebrews 11.where ever you see the word faith it points to the author of it, God

Before we are born again the bible informs us we have "no faith". Not little none.

By the faith of God that worked in Abel, Abel previously having none. God worked in and with Able to both will and do His good pleasure. (imputed righteousness). Same with all believers old testament as well as new. One faith belonging to one God. The author and finisher of our new born again faith the gift of God from God

Same with all believers in respect to the mutual faith of God that mutually works in all who do believe.

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.Hebrews 11:4

By the faith of God that worked in Enoch , Enoch previously having none God worked in and worked in and with Enoch to both will and do His good pleasure. (imputed righteousness)Same with all believers in respect to the mutual faith of God

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.Hebrews 11.

Without the faith of God working in a person to draw them close to God no man could please God and therefore could not come to Him not seen .Because we do come he is our reward. Without His faith no man can seek after Him

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.Hebrews 11.

Note... (purple in parenthesis) by comments to show whose faith is in view .

James 2 King James Version (KJV) My brethren, have not the faith of (coming from, not in towards ) our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory,(not of our own selves) with respect of persons(of our own selves)

Those who violate the clear commandment above in the end of the matter blasphemes the Holy name by which we are called heavenward . Today from the moment the Son of man left..... blasphemy against the Holy Spirit not seen is not forgivable.

(James 2:1) One of the most ignored commandments I know of.

Amen to that.

Its not just the woman they are shamming but the bride of Christ as to what we will be not who we are externally .....no more male or female, Jew or Gentile .The whole church as His chaste virgin bride.

They need to see the order of government before Jesus elevated them to a equal position after the time of reformation.

I would offer. Its not given to the flesh and blood but a new creation .All born again people were given those gifts of prophecy and dreaming dreams. No new prophecy .The elect will no be deceived (impossible) they are warned before hand. Before the book of Revelation was complete giving us the perfect law of God the bible. In the last book he gives the final warning not to add or subtract.

Revelation remains the last book. Why go above that which is written makes me wonder?

That i'm sure doesn't happen today.

The blubbering that happens today (words with no meaning) is not from God.

Nice try but nope.

1. Paul is not merely talking about physical heads in this chapter. Yes he uses the physical things but the lesson is spiritual.
In summary, Paul is talking about the 'head' as in God being the head of Christ and Christ being the head of man and man the head of the woman. A woman exposing her head dishonors the man and a man covering his head dishonors God- for the man was created in the image of God so he needs to expose his head. The image here is not shape and thoughts but simply authority that comes through appointment by God. A woman dishonors the man (husband) when they expose their head publicly. Prayer and prophesy was not the lesson but rather a chosen example of how women should appear publicly.

2. 1 Cor 11 by no means cancels 1 Cor 14 (which was a directive or the Lords command) or 1 Tim 2 (which was a specific teaching of how to conduct ourselves in church). If you think 1 Cor 11 is a teaching of how women should pray or prophesy then we have a problem reconciling with:

1 Cor 14: 34Women f should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.

This means that women did not receive the gifts. And:

1 Tim 2:
8Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. 9I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

11A woman a should learn in quietness and full submission.

Which is a specific teaching of our conduct in church.

Question still remain, when did all these change?
No, he is not, women can pray in church women do and did prophesies in Church women have the Holy Spirit the same as men. The church setting is what Paul is talking about or do you think women at home are to be quiet too? Clearly, you do not know the context of a covering. are women saved by raising children? Or do they have to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Are you a divorced person? I have to ask because you really are stuck on women being silent. Context is what you fail to have to answer your question. 1cor chapter 11 to 14 is the church setting. Women can pray women can express and be used in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. YES, women can say Amen in Church when the Pastor says the word of God in a message. No a woman can't be a pastor, no a women cannot have authority over a man, no a women can not disrupt a service Just as a man can't. prayer and prophesying in public you say then Paul says women are to be silent I guess Paul meant at all times? LOL ridiculous you too are done I will not respond to your post please do not respond to mine thank you.

Notuptome I told you not to respond to my post and I told you why. Your context to Joel is wrong as Peter in the Book of Acts Prove it. You are rude and arrogant and clearly can't read. I have asked you not to respond to me. You bully and suggest those who speak in tongues do so my the devil. So again you and I have nothing to talk about. respect my request or be gone. that simple I can have a better discussion with those who disagree with me and are not insulting as you are.

You are now appealing to the emotions. I never said women should never pray.

It is not me you are having a problem with, it is Paul:

34Women f should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church. g

You will have to address the above before you say anything, i'm sorry you are in this position.

And 1 Cor 11 is not about prophesy or prayer, it is about hierarchy in authority as much as it is in a church setting. Since we are dealing with tongues, where does Paul say women should cover their head and speak in tongues?

It's apparent in Acts 2:17ff that the gift was not reserved only to Jew, but also to other nations represented there in the text. notuptome's conclusion otherwise is therefore incorrect.

No, he knew what he was talking about. Nor was he anti woman

Yes not the most popular idea today, but the time of reformation changed the temporal status for woman restoring it to the time of the Judges .Like that of Deborah .You could say according to the promise of Joel.... prophets that declared the written will the gospel . Men, woman and children.

During the time period of Kings that came about because the apostate Jewish elders gather themselves together (no called by God together) and demanded a King as a outward representation because of their ungodly jealously of the pagan nations that surrounded them. Samuel thought it was him they were rejecting ,.But God revealed to Samael it is God unseen that they are rejecting as king reigning from heaven by faith (the unseen eternal)

God gave them over temporarily to do what they should not.

During the time period used as a parable the woman were restrained to their own court as were the gentiles another court or level . The wall of separation (15 foot high) from the woman's court did not even allow the woman and gentile to view the ceremonies that as a shadow pointed ahead to the time of reformation . When Christ came they was a change in government because there was a change in the priesthood . Woman and children became part of the new testament ceremonial laws. The two had become the one new kind of ceremony which is seen in the head uncovered for the man and the hair covered for the woman as one representative glory of the unseen glory of God. The bread and wine added to the same ceremony as a shadow of the wedding supper we will have when we receive our new bodies.

It was a time of great confussion as never before and never again. Just like today more and more woman enter the public work market after the second world war. And in some cases attraction to the opposite sex was on the rise destroying some marriages even in the Christian community.

In the new order a qualification for a pastor is two or three fold (a family affair) . Must be married to one wife or wife married to one husband and must be able to have success in raising a child in a hope they also becomes a member of the bride of Christ the church.

The woman is to be silent because of the possible temptation to be with another man . Men are to work with men as iron sharpens iron in those kind of problem. Just as woman with woman . If either the man or woman has a question relating to the teaching of opposite sex they are to do it at home . Or it could distract form the purpose there are two working together as if they were one. A representative glory of our God not seen, as sign to the angels as to who has the faith of God needed to believe Him not seen.

The teaching does not have to do with the gospel prophesying .God can use man or woman or in the case, or the case of false prophet Balaam and Ass a unclean animal used to represent natural converted mankind. In the end of the matter to show he is not served by human hands as a will.

If an man has as desire to lord it over a woman, or a woman that desires to be under the thumb of man . There are many other religions they can find to make it possible. Moslem for one, or unconverted Judaism another.

First of all Romans 16 iss Full with female church leaders.
Secondly the church of corinth was full with problems. Men and woman were separated to two sides so every time they had a question they shouted across the congregation so their husbands could hear them and answer them.
That, besides the fight between woman envying each other already, paul told them to shut up.
He even told them to grow up in another verse
