I love the weeks before Christmas. I know it is only November, but I am kind of looking especially forward to this one. So. This is the thread where we can share Christmas songs with eachother, the joy of baking Christmas cookies. (Even sharing the recepies), preparation of the adventcaledar, the tough dilemma of what to buy the nephew that has just turned 18 and that you really don't know that well. What's on the menu, what to wear, where to go, great Christmas deals, childhood memories.....

Everything that involves Christmas or the weeks before. Feel free to post.

I have now written all labels to the calendar and gifts I have to give this year and wrapped most of them. Oh. I forgot the dogs! What do I give them this year? Plato loved his Christmas doggy beer the other year..... should I repeat that?

What a great thread! Right now, I'm sooooo looking forward to Christmas.

This will be our first Christmas in our new home for my family....sooo, can't wait when we start decorating and putting up the lights! We weren't able to do that so well, coz we lived in a maisonette.... now we can! Soooo, super excited!

This Christmas will be special. My boyfriend is coming for the first time December 8th and leaving after New Year, so we will be decorating our future home together. It really excites me. We have never met, yet we are planning our wedding in April. So it is now we can shape our Christmas traditions for years to come.

Yes, you can get Plato his Christmas doggy beer but probably should monitor his consumption so things don't get out of hand.

"I'll be fine and dandy,
Lord it's like a hard candy Christmas.
I'm barely getting through tomorrow,
But still I won't let

Sorrow get me way down."

It shouldn't be alchohol in it, but I will keep an eye on him. The rule is 6 units a day, right?

Generally, but I would err on the side of caution and set a 5 unit rule per day. If Plato starts running around his kibble bowl with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging you might consider lowering it another unit. Of course, if his antics amuse you perhaps you could increase the amount he can imbibe. After all, it's getting to be the Christmas season and there is nothing wrong with a little holiday cheer in one's life.

This is absolutely wonderful news. Perhaps part of your tradition together would be to get a new unique Christmas tree decoration each year and tell a story about what it represents. Baking cookies together is a great holiday activity too.

A snippet of this song by the Turtles seems appropriate for the both of you. I am praying for all of God's best for your happiness and upcoming nuptials and the years to come. Truly, it is a Love Story.

"I can't see me lovin' nobody but you,
For all my life.
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue,
For all my life.

Me and you and you and me.
No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be.
The only one for me is you, and you for me,
So happy together."

I dread the Christmas "season" (since I work massive amounts of overtime at the Post Office during that time), but I love being together with loved ones on Christmas day.

Feel free, or send a PM. Yes. I know it is borderline insanity, but I am so confident in this man and his character, I know it is from God.

That's a great idea, Tourist. And with my dogs, it will need to be some replacement... they are so happy they are always wiggeling their tails too much

I have no doubt either that this man was sent by God to be with you.

I know you too have prayed about this, so yes. I think atleast the three of us are in agreement here.
