The same thing that heterosexuals should do to avoid falling into the practice of "wrong" sex or attraction. Put your mind on Godly things, and pray for deliverance... and don't feed the attraction.
You can not help who you are attracted to, but you can help how you react to those you are attracted to.
You asked what does the Bible say about them . . . in a nutshell, they are an abomination to God and will end up in the lake of fire.
What I meant by this is all people, whether they be heterosexual or homosexual, need to keep their feelings intact. The heterosexual married person needs to keep his affections to their spouse and the homosexual needs to repent of their sins.
I would like to add that I don't think homosexuals need to feel that they will necessarily be the same sex that they are now in the next life. It may make life easier for them to hope that 1 John 3:2 (Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is. ) (From Net Bible) means that they will have the body they feel most comfortable in, in the next life, if they can control themselves in this life. God wants us to be happy on the new earth and I am quite sure they would be quite contented in a body they are desiring even now.
Regarding the question in the Title: Read the 1st Chapter of Romans. It is the most definitive statement about homosexuality in Scripture I have found.
Regarding your above question: As with any OTHER sinful lifestyle/act, a Christian must ABSTAIN. Repent means to turn away from the sin filled life one is leading..........Alcoholics, Drug Addicts, those who abuse women and/or children, thieves, etc......
If all else fails.................type in "the Bible and homosexuality" and do a SEARCH. You will find Bible truths about this. Trust Scripture.....discover for yourself.......

There is NO SCRIPTURE that supports a homosexual man will become a woman in Heaven, or a Lesbian will become a man.
If you have that in Scripture, check to see who published the Translation you are reading please.
Now, this is my opinion...........IF you truly believe that men will become women, and vise versa, that is your right to believe.

First of all, if those who are living a same-sex life style die in that state, they will not inherit eternal life, because God requires repentance and not justification of sin. When the resurrection takes place, the dead in Christ will rise in their same bodies, albeit immortal and glorified. There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.
God is not happy with those who seek to change their gender and act on it. This is obvious from what He did to Sodom, Gomorrah and the surround cities, when he rained fire and sulfur on its inhabitants. Jude mentions this event and proclaims that their destruction is an example to those who will suffer punishment for doing the same in everlasting fire. Instead of repenting and fighting to overcome those feelings, they engage in them, which leads to death (eternal separation from God in the lake of fire).
"In like manner, Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, who indulged in sexual immorality and pursued strange flesh, are on display as an example of those who sustain the punishment of eternal fire."

The beauty of science through medical definition has the mental state of someone claiming to be attracted to the same sex as someone diagnosed with psychological disorders. I find this interesting (since science has many members claiming to be LBG&T), because medically someone diagnosed with psychological disorders is someone who basically is not all there. And if we use the same language as someone diagnosed with psychological disorders, to those claiming to be attracted to the same sex, we can legally say anyone attracted to the same sex has mental issues (or, they are not all there).
Science cracks me up, because too many times their definitions cross over and makes them look rather ignorant. But the reason their definitions cross over at times is simply due to no one questioning them and bringing it to light. But needless to say. medically the LBG&T crowd just aren't mentally all there. And this makes sense, because many who have ended up in same sex relationships, unfortunately as children were sexually abused by the same sex. Psychologists have heard this pattern over enough to create a new category. But since science is firm on its stance of being born that way, psychologists just go with the flow.
There also have been examples of people going vegan and never giving their sons proper protein. As result of to much estrogen, some sons ended up very feminine acting. This clearly had nothing to do with how these sons were born. It had everything to do with idiots for parents not feeding their sons what they required biologically to be natural boys. In my opinion, this is a form of abuse!
Biblically, God made male and female to populate the earth. Male with male cannot populate the earth. Female with female cannot populate the earth. Therefore, God did not make people to find the same sex to be attractive.

They should believe Jesus and trust in the atonement He secured on the cross to save sinners from the eternal judgement of God..
Resisting sin is a good thing to the extent that a human can resist sin..
But salvation is based on one continuing in belief in Jesus and trusting in the Atonement He secured to save you..

I would say definitely, Yes! For one, God does not recognize same-sex as marriage, but only as them being in a state of sexual immorality. If they were to come to Christ, they would have to repent of that life style.
yeah, i was thinking that it's like the eye of a needle verse...but she knows the bible shes smart.. I don't understand why she just doesn't get it... I would be full of anxiety knowing what I should do and not doing it where it would lead me...
Scripture through Paul is very clear that no one who is willfully practicing homosexuality will inherit the kingdom of God:
"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."

The Bible is pretty clear, and so is the attitude of humanity in general to homosexual perversion. It was illegal in the USA until very recently, and it is frowned upon by almost all societies because it is unnatural.
