Because Achan took some grament, instead of destroying all, they were punished. After that, they continued on in destroying the Canaanites.

I have no problem with God destroying the Canaanites. I never said it was God's greed. It was God's blessing to the Israelites.

I said it was God who destroyed the Canaanites for Israel. It was not for Israel's greed. If you have a post in mind, then tell me where it is. Otherwise, find something else to complain about.

the clear correlation you asserted was that Israel similarly occupied the Levant because of greed.

Well, as I said it was sarcasm to what went before. In other words if you want to say the Europeans did what they did out of greed, then say the Israelites did what they did out of greed. But it wasn't out of greed, though they benefited from it. It was due to God directing them.
