I think Geneva should have just sent Servetus back to France, let them light the fire.

Nope that is not the reason and if you read French you would know why.

Just face it was a "show trial" and Servetus was found guilty under old testament laws and one would think Mr, Calvin so astute in the theological precepts and principles of the New Convenant would have known better.
No, I read the French, thanks. Of course it was a show trial. No person accused of heresy , and especially as guilty as Michael intended to make himself repeatedly all over Europe exploiting those laws that would certainly get him killed, ever walked free. They died.
Servetus escaped Rome, then went to Geneva and sat in the front row of the church where Calvin was preaching. He wanted to be martyred.
He got his wish.

Just because you accuse people of being the Calvinists you hate doesn't mean they are actually Calvinists. There's what? Three of you here that make those accusations?
To my recollection not one of us is actually what you claim.
That would make false witness repeated , regardless of the facts the accused pronounce, a matter of serial slander and lying among the minority accusers.
That's eerie. Way too close to the machinations that ultimately conspired and burned Michael.
That explains how you're all Calvin haters and Arminian Synergists.

I actually only dislike, not really hate, most parts of theology, but usually some are pretty mean on here, but my friends at the Reformed church down the street they are very nice.

But you can have it your way, believe and judge how you see fit.

Did John Calvin have Servetus burned at the stake>>>>>>?

NO, actually the court at Geneva had ordered Servetus to be drawn and quartered........but Calvin asked for a more merciful death for Serv, so the court thought the sentence that had already been given to him as a heretic who denied the trinity....by the Catholics in France....a burning at the stake.

If anyone thinks Calvin ran the courts you know nothing of Geneva.

Of course he did, this makes perfect sense, now the historical record is complete.

I agree with the fact that there are some who are pretty mean here. Especially those who insist on accusing members of being Calvinists when those same members state matter of fact they are not. Were they, they would have nothing to hide nor be ashamed of since they'll continue to be accused of being a Calvinist regardless of their personal facts.

The same to you. Not that you need anyone's permission.
