The Catholic Church gave us our scriptures.

They were the ones who canonized the Bible for us.
We need to thank them for providing it for us. Thanks.
Sola Scriptura would not be possible without the Bible they gave us.
Should we bite the hand that feeds?
Big deal. The devil quoted scripture to Jesus. That didn't make the devil right. He quoted the command of God to Eve. Again, didn't make him right.

Catholicism has zero to do with Christianity. And GOD wrote the scriptures, through chosen men that He inspired. Do you deny that GOD is the author of the bible and all scriptures within?
No, I do not deny that "GOD is the author of the bible and all scriptures within".

However, cannot agree with your denial of the historical fact that the Catholic Church canonized our Bible.
And that you don't consider Catholics to be our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Nor your claim that "Catholicism has zero to do with Christianity."
Explain where Protestantism came from.

So, you are comparing the Catholic Church with the Devil? Wow.

The Pope is taking glory that belongs to Christ alone. Yes, I would say that is from the devil among other false doctrines they preach. I believe the church has some elements of truth but they are lost for the most part.

I never confirmed nor denied that the catholic church canonized the bible. Nor did I ever say that I don't consider catholics to be our brethren in Christ.

The simple fact is, catholics do not believe what Christians believe, nor do they even worship or pray the same as Christians do. Many catholics pray to Mary as they believe that she is a secondary intercessor to God. They pray to statues and bow down before popes. They create shrines, light candles and pray with rosaries. They even believe that Mary was a virgin for her entire life. Christians do NONE of these things. We don't pray to Mary, we don't believe she can hear nor answer prayers. We don't use rosaries when we pray. We certainly do not pray to and bow down before statues. We don't go to a priest for confession, because no earthly man can forgive our sins. Only GOD can do that...

They could be but are in a very dark place

They have canonized extra books called the hidden as what they call private revelations and still claim to be adding secretly. The last official was the assumption of Mary 1950. And even then there are two infallible camps, one says she was buried "two different locations" the other she never experienced physical death .

Protestantism came from all things written in the law and the prophets called (sola scriptura) . The Catholic who walked after a law of the fathers (apostolic succession) made it their goal to kill those who were trusting all things written in the law and the prophets (God's word) Even sending letters of authority to bring them which were there bound unto Rome, to be punished for not trusting the law of the fathers.

How soon we forget.
Catholicism was the only church until Protestantism split away.
Absolutely wrong. The Roman Catholic religion was not formalized until the conquest of Constantine. Even then it went on to more need for defining new doctrines, adding the infalliblity of the pope, Mary worship, celebate priesthood, the sale of indulgences, and so it goes on and on. Until today you have a religion that is neither Jewish, Pagan nor Christian, but a freaky frankenstein made from scraps of this and that.

The Catholic cult is no more made right by its supposed canonization of scripture than the devil is by his quoting scripture.

I suppose if I checked out what Catholics are saying about Protestants,
I would find out that "they" hate us as much as "we" hate them.
Seems like a lose/lose situation.

Popes don't save souls, they are mere men. Uninspired. They live in a far off land, in a worldly mansion, and fair sumptuously everyday.

Saying someone is in error does not = hate. This generation seems to have it twisted. If you love someone you tell them the truth. Otherwise you'd let them go on their way.

I am a Christian. I find it repugnant that religious leaders, including protestant leaders, would steal from the poor, from the fatherless, from widows. All through false doctrine.

Yes. Reminds of Paul to the Galatians: Have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth?

They could be believers but if so in a very, very dark place needing the light of the gospel .

We know the Devil as a lying spirit has no form and therefore must work through the things of men as that seen in order to make the things of God not seen to no effect. Which the Holy Spirit calls offensive in Mathew 16.

When mankind performs that kind of ideology (oral traditions of men) as the things of men . Christ says it offends our God not seen .

Peter, influenced by the devil was forgiven of His blasphemy against the Son of man , Jesus . Today because the one time demonstration is over .Peter's blashemypmy against the Holy Spirit would no be forgiven .

Personally, if I was to try and develope a daysman as a infallible fleshly mediator, a umpire set between God not seen and man seen . I would chose Paul or John, surely not the serial blasphemer who again and again denied the true authority of God not seen .

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence "unto me": for thou savourest not "the things that be of God", but those that be of men. Mathew 16:22-23

Richard Rohr is Franciscan and is one of the greatest teachers I know of. Many Catholics think on a spiritual plan most Protestants never achieve.
Jesus Christ is God and is the greatest teacher that ever walked the earth. As far as living on a spiritual plane with Him, it's beyond my reach, but trying to reach for it is so rewarding.

"It" refers to Catholicism. Think about it. The question isn't "Christianity, is it wrong?" The question is: "Catholicism, is it wrong?"
Just be a Christian. Follow CHRIST.

No, I've looked into it and it turns out that the Catholic Church is the truth and original Christianity.
If you read the Early Christian Fathers, they are all Catholic, with none of the traditions of men we see of Luther and those that came after him.
Hahahahaha not hardly pal and from top to bottom they are corrupt and their doctrine is corrupt!
