Salvation is not complete until you are outsidre the building.

If there is still a possibility I can be condemned, I am still in the building and not yet saved, so to say I am saved would be a false concept or idea. It just is not true.
There is a preacher called David Pawson, he is now on his last days and I cant remember verbatim what he said, but it was clear he had no assurance of salvation, he was still nervous about it. He was hoping to "make the cut" so to speak, on the other side. Was nervous about facing God

I was very saddened by that. I can see his heart is sincere and that he is a genuine individual, but just to see that lack of assurance is SAD.

I say this to tell you that there actually ARE people in this world who would agree with your hypothetical scenario and say that they are NOT YET saved, but that "maybe" in the future they are.
Which is a SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS, you could end up wasting your entire life living righteous ONLY to not make it into the kingdom when you pass to the other side. Never knowing if you did enough to make it. TERRIBLE waste of life. I would probably give up immediately if I believed like that and party it out.

You need to have assurance of salvation, I believe so! Its no life to be living in constant doubt.

Faith is based on hope. Hope is assurance. (The word faith has in its meaning assurance conviction)

How can one who has no assurance say they have faith?

If we leave Jesus? I am in Him and He is in me. A NEW creation. Reborn His Child. SEALED with the Holy Spirit. Like Ice tea mix dissolved in water. No longer water, and not able to be separated. Like a cucumber that has been baptized and is now a pickle. NEVER again able to be a cucumber again.

So with all that in mind, Jesus tells me He will NEVER leave nor forsake me. I may stray and find myself lost, but He tells me He will leave EVERYTHING to come and find and retrieve me. Why? BECAUSE I'M HIS!!!

Ha ha.. that gave me quite a chuckle.. (the part in red)

Well she says you can lose salvation, Thats a serious assertion against the character of God. And cause for worry!

God doesnt force anyone to stay saved...
Theres a great falling away..U cant fall away from something without having been in it before...

Paul warned us and also John in the Revelation's warned us the in the last days there will be a great falling away. Peter claimed in his 2nd Epistle that some have misunderstood Paul's message and in turn distorted it. He warned it would lead to their destruction. Makes one think Peter knew about this belief in thinking we have a license to sin. I doubt he would warn us that we are distorting Paul's message (I can only assume the message of Grace since most know Paul by it) if it were not true.

Bro, I think she was laughing at the baptized cucumber comment..
The Pickle analogy is VERY common. I'm surprised people haven't heard it before.

I like it a lot. To be "baptized" means to be fully submerged, and with the connotation that upon reemerging the thing dipped is transformed into a NEW, DIFFERENT creation.

So when a cucumber is submerged (for a period of time) it is CHANGED into something completely different. A pickle!

Once it's a pickle it can NEVER again go back to being a cucumber. Now, bad things can happen to that pickle. It can get damaged and bruised, and even eaten! But it can NEVER be a cucumber again.

This is exactly what happens to us when we are born again, and filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit. WE are CHANGED. We are a NEW, DIFFERENT creation. We can NEVER again go back to what we were. Which was Spiritually dead. BUT, a whole lot of things can happen to us depending on our walk with the Holy Spirit. Are we trying to lead Him in our flesh? Or are we being led by Him, and consequently walking in the Spirit?

That's what the big question is for us now that we ARE His Child forever.

We know that God created Eve for Adam as a help mate. She was made from the rib of Adam meaning she was to stand by him, not be under his foot. Joseph Prince preached we can beat our wives stupid and God will be ok with that. How does God make man a help mate and a prominent Grace preacher turn her into a punching bag that God finds it to be good? He preaches we can do what we want and God overlooks it. How did do unto your brother as you would have them do to you, end up being I can beat-steal-lie-kill my neighbor and God's ok with it?

Wha?
Some people ask some daft questions on here.

I know people asked Peter and Paul in the Bible 'what must I do to be saved?' But nobody ever asked them this.

If this is towards me, I am asking these questions because of these 2 verses.

2 Peter 3:
15
Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Peter claims we are distorting the message of Paul, maybe even his Grace message, and he continues warning it will bring destruction. If we have eternal salvation by understanding Paul's message, why is Peter claiming we could be distorting that message for our own desire which will actually bring us destruction, not eternal salvation?

Simple. You can't. Salvation is not based upon your obedience, neither is keeping it. Have you committed your eternal life to Jesus Christ? Yes? Then He'll keep that which you have entrusted to Him.
John
What do you mean by "Have you committed your eternal life to Jesus Christ"? Eternal life is only possible through Jesus Christ. Thank you.

But believers and the saved aren't cucumbers. We can still choose whom to serve or follow. A dog returns to its vomit. But not a cucumber. Can't choose.
