Everyone I am feeling lost! Please help me I’m trying to fix my relationship with God but I am so lost!
I just don’t know where to start. I don’t know if he’s given up on me. I’ve gone back and forth being into church reading the Bible and I always get pulled away.. i just feel he’s tired of it I don’t know what to do where to start how to grow. I feel so lost
Any recommendations on where to start in the Bible
hello rosemary, not 100% sure on the whole born again question.... and I don’t know what pulls me away from God, maybe life? My fiancé... I accepted Jesus when I was 21 I’ve read the Bible I try to make it to church as often as I could.. I always fall away from HIM I don’t know why
I would suggest you read the book of John...Please do not take this the wrong way , but many say with their lips that they gave their life to Jesus and then they go and live the way they always have...It is so very very important that you get understanding ASAP to see if you are truly born again...
When you open your Bible , ask God to lead you , put phone on silent and everything else , spend some one to one with Him , and may I say , going to church does not make one a Christian , only repenting of your sinful ways , and turning to God confessing that Jesus is His Son , and you believe with all your heart that He paid the price on the cross for you , and that you except Him as your LORD and Savior , seek these things out , God hears your cries , only God can give you what you are seeking , I will pray for you right now , and do not be scared , be humble...xox...
But what if you find yourself distracted after only a few minutes of reading the bible, as I always do? I never know where to read, I just point and where my finger is, is what I read. If I could put on blinders so that i can only see the bible and nothing else, I would. But my mind is always elsewhere when I read. It's thinking about what I should be doing, or what I'd rather be doing. And when I pray I am thoroughly convinced that He has me on mute..
Hi Blue...Happy new year...
All of us are different on how we read our Bibles...I used to be like yourself , but I came to know that the habit I was in was not correct for my growing...
So I bought some devotionals , read a page a day and gave prayer to what I had read about...
As long as you are learning from what you are reading , that is what is important...
I wake in the morning now , have my coffee , and read my Bible , because to be honest , if I do not do that and put my laptop first , then my Bible reading goes out the window , I am trying to discipline myself...xox...
PS...An open Bible is better then a closed Bible![]()
Yes, but.. the problem is, I can't stay focused on reading the bible long enough TO learn anything from it.. One or two minutes isn't long enough to absorb anything from scripture. I do find it a bit easier in the early morning to try and read my bible, but then my mind gets thinking, "turn on the computer and have some fun".. :/
It's not that I don't want to read my bible. I DO. If I could just frickin' focus on what I'm reading and not have 20 other things bouncing around in my mind.. And I do pray (sometimes) but I truly do feel like He doesn't hear me. Kinda like He's giving me the middle finger for mucking up my status as a Christian so much.
Blue...That is a horrid problem to have , but remember , God knows your heart , your motives behind each thought...
Have you ever looked into OCD off the mind , it can be very draining , what about Audio bible , would listening be easier...xox...

Maybe some of the women here can try to message Beamarie privately, and give her some counseling.
