The context here is not the same, but ...

The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him. I myself will set my face against him and will cut him off from his people; for by sacrificing his children to Molek, he has defiled my sanctuary and profaned my holy name. If the members of the community close their eyes when that man sacrifices one of his children to Molek and if they fail to put him to death, I myself will set my face against him and his family and will cut them off from their people together with all who follow him in prostituting themselves to Molek. – Leviticus 20:1-5
I don't think the context is that far off...

The love of many has grown cold.. celebrating the bloody killing of the innocent.. These people are like WW2 Nazi concentration camp guards smiling while they gas the Jews.. Nothing more evil then when it is done with joy..

They love unrighteousness.. Eternal Woe will be unto them..
Even worse...at least sometimes the Jews had a fighting chance as in the Warsaw Uprisings; these babies are completely helpless, it's the height of cowardice on the part of those who legislate and pass such bills as this one.

The fact that they applauded and lit the trade center in pink... If that isn't shaking your fist at Almighty God I don't know what is.
That's more than just shaking their fist. It's giving the middle finger to God..

I'd say you're about right. America has lost it's way. When abortion on demand is celebrated... Just no words.

This news had me in tears. My mom, who is a Christian, told me.
Its disgusting. Vile. Wicked. Cruel. Inhumane. Beastly. Unspeakable.
I am almost numb a portion of the day because of this.

I think it’s high time we start addressing the pro choice people in a different manner. The way we’re doing it today is an open invitation to mockery, and that way we ain’t getting nowhere.

We need to be structuring our arguments, and not just say how awful things are. We need to rephrase our statements and rhetoric, because words are important. As it is today they just call us conservative Christians, hillbillies and Hicks and keep passing laws allowing abortion. It’s easy for them because nobody’s listening to failed rhetoric. We need to be smooth talkers, like they are.

Wouldn't that be playing on their turf?

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV)

We might also start with repentance and prayer seeking God's face.

The laws are passing now because the wrong people were on the Supreme Court when Roe vs. Wade reached there.

The facts are on our side, we are just not as mean-spirited, intimidating and belligerent as they are.

When I'm talking about abortion I use facts. I do not use the Bible because unbelievers dismiss that out of hand. But it's much harder when you have facts. Like 92% of abortions are done on healthy women with healthy babies.

Or the data that more black babies are aborted than born in NYC...
(CNSNews.com) – In 2012, there were more black babies killed by abortion (31,328) in New York City than were born there (24,758), and the black children killed comprised 42.4% of the total number of abortions in the Big Apple, according to a report by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

It isn't rhetoric that's killing babies,
it's sin.

People who cannot be moved by the life of their own child...
will not be moved by words.

I want to add another point.

There ARE women going to abortion clinics who still have a conscience but are feeling desperate and confused...
for these women, words can help.

There are women who've had an abortion, and their conscience has torn them apart...
for these women, words can help, and God's spirit can heal.

In my post above, I wasn't talking about these women.
I was talking about the women, and the men also, who have no conscience at all.
These seem to be the people writing our laws, and directing our culture.
These seem to be the people in majority.

For these people, these people with no conscience, words will never move a heart that cannot be moved by the blood of the innocent.

I don’t agree with you, Maxwel.

Denying the power of words and rhetoric is a dead end.

What kind of rhetoric is being used by us, the pro life supporters as of today? We’re using a rhetoric which is easy to dismiss for the pro choice movement. We haven’t been able to make society see abortion from the children’s point of view, but they have done good on making this a question about women’s rights. How could they do that? The answer is rhetoric.

They may not be moved today, but they may be moved tomorrow. The process of change isn’t accomplished in one day.

We should make plans on how to change people’s mindsets instead of rallying in the streets and be writing angry comments on the internet. The pro choice people have made their case properly. We still haven’t. But it’s not too late.
