No, the word for that, is slander. Blasphemy is when you deny that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit exist.

Actually, slander is one of the definitions for blasphemy.

Strongs G988 - blasphēmia

The KJV translates Strong's G988 in the following manner: blasphemy (16x), railing (2x), evil speaking (1x).
Outline of Biblical Usage [?]
  1. slander, detraction, speech injurious, to another's good name

Answered. Obey Jesus Christ: The truth.

Jesus is the truth.

Everything that comes out of His mouth is the truth.

His Gospel
His Commandments
His Doctrine

That’s my answer.
So, you obey all the commandments that came out of the mouth of Jesus, huh?

So, have you sold all that you own and given the money to the poor?

Do you forgive seven times seventy?

When you have lunch or dinner, do you go out and invite the poor, the cripple, the lame, and the blind to join you?

Do you love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind at all times?

Do you wash the feet of other believers?

Have you preached the gospel to every creature?

Are you willing to pluck out your eye or cut of your hand if either causes you to stumble?

Do you honor and obey your parents at all times?

Have you gone and made disciples from all nations, baptizing them?

Unless you do ALL of those things, you're just another pharisiac hypocrite.

Now please answer my question, that you have so far, avoided.

Which of His Commandments do you disobey

No other god’s.
Worshiping graven images
Taking His name in vain.
Dishonoring your mother and father.
Murder.
Adultery.
Stealing.
Lying.
Covetousness.

I sin every day. Just like you do, buddy boy.

It occurs to me that faith and works is resolved for each person when they decide when Abraham was justified. Is it before he was circumcised as Romans 4 says? or when he places Isaac on the altar as James 2 says?

The funny thing......people who believe in grace through faith are some of the most merciful people and the exact opposite is true of those who peddle works and or some level of salvic obedience.....vindictive, no mercy, walk contrary more often then not and hold grudges..........amazing.......
I can agree with that, for majority of the cases. The worst bunch BY FAR is the hebrew roots cult. They are so divided even amongst themselves, because everything is pagan, everything is idolatry, everything is greek thought and so on.

Its all about the outside, not the inside. I feel so bad about that. I always feel like im clean on the outside but wicked on the inside. I can say "sorry" or let something slide if someone has lied to me, spoken a false prophecy, i'll let it SLIDE. but in my mind im thinking "**** that ******* ***"

might want to look at the full meaning of the word, and not just use a narrow definition.

That is honesty brother........I find great encouragement in Paul's words...........the order of his words that follow were early in his ministry with the last statment being toward the end of his life when he was beheaded in Rome for the cause of Christ...

a. I am the least of the apostles
b. I am the least of the saints
c. I am the CHIEF sinner among MEN <--present tense....

and this from a guy that wrote almost half the N.T., started umpteen churches, made umpteen disciples, turned the ancient world on it's head and witnessed in front of the CAESAR............

All glory goes to JESUS, his faith, his work, his righteousness, his mercy, his grace......He alone deserves ALL praise and worship and if not for him......we would all be giving a new meaning to snap, crackle and pop in hell.......

It was before he got whacked when he was called out to leave his father to go look for a city whose builder and maker is God.....Hebrews 11:8

Oh I know......man I travel the world and in the last 35 years have dealt with so many people and my generalized observation is valid.....people I know that are lost or that believe they save themselves in some form or fashion are very vindictive and or unforgiving, they hold grudges and actively think of ways to get even (not ALL of them, but MANY of them I know).....while the flip side is true....those who believe in God's grace, mercy and salvation based upon faith have generally been way more forgiving and merciful and NOT SAYING ALL HAVE, but over all more often than not...........

You have seen it too!!

Amen .....We give all Glory and Honour to God where it belongs.

I know...amazing how we can post straight definitions of words and they get rejected and swept under the table....the reason....they contradict all the false teaching....

Definitely James is not saying that he was justified before God at that moment, his faith in action (work) justified him before men.

Abraham was justified earlier before God

Abraham believed the promise of God, and that faith is credited to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:6)

It's like a block of ice here in Michigan! So cold they won't even deliver the mail today!
I find it hilarious (NO OFFENSE). I read from the news about in America places shutting down because of snow storms and cold. Meanwhile, where I live -20Fahrenheit is NORMAL and nothing ever gets shutdown even if it goes to -40celcius.

May I ask: Is it because its UNCOMMON for some places in USA to get a lot of snow/cold? Or is it because you dont have the equipment required to plow the roads and so on?

Here’s the context -

Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” Matthew 12:24

They were calling the Holy Spirit the devil.

Slandering the Holy Spirit.
