HAHAHHAHAHA that is hilariously sad........they have nothing but opinion and numerous sources on here have cited just as many as you do that believed in and taught eternal security....either way I could care less....the bible is clear on the subject.....and it does not teach what you peddle
Please post some scripture that states we cannot become lost after becoming saved....

We have already determined you are dishonest Fran by accusing me of never posting scripture....and you took a verse in that post and made it say something it does not say to prove a point not valid........most who are not deceived can see this trait as plain as day
Please prove the above with a reasoned post instead of making snarky comments.

Thanks.

Where in scripture does it say our spirit is divided?
God day sister on fire of God. You would not need to look further than this room to se that many here are not in the unity of the Spirit and interpret things according to the mind of the flesh.
Paul referred to immature believers as divided because they behaves like men in the flesh ruled by the sin nature.
Jesus said Let your eye be single and your whole body shall be full of light and if the Light (Spirit) that is in you be evil (divided) how great is that darkness.
Revelation 3:15
"A double minded man is unstable in all His ways." To be in the mind of the Spirit is to become one spirit with God.
Divided between a life for ourselves and a life in God, Is not having obeyed the Word. "Work out your salvation with Fear (Admiration of God) and trembling ("In His presence I fear and quake") for it is God that Is at Work in you to Will and do His good pleasure.
Those who think they own salvation, of the mind set that they have arrived and drawing others to be like them will remain in the nations of the saved where they desire to be, with others like them, nations are divided.
Paul explained the Work of God in us to bring us to the unity of the Spirit and preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. We only have the unity of the Spirit by being one Spirit with God, laying down our Life for the beloved Saviour:
"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but one thing (Grace), forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect (Or permitted to Go on to perfection by God, "Let us go on to perfection, and this we will do if God permits), be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
A Perfect man:
"For we all stumble in many ways, and if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body." "But no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison."
James who wrote both of these verses and did not give us an explanation that I'm aware. But you should know the answer, Self control is a fruit of the Spirit from dwelling in God. "He that has rule over His Spirit is stronger than he that captures a city." We have rule over our Spirit in the same Way. Those who are divided between a life after the flesh and a life in God are carnal, divided and causing divisions. Without the fullness of the Holy Spirit, we remain divided, "This kind does not come out but by prayer and fasting." "Often he falls into the fire(burning desire), and oft into the water (you can figure this one out)."
Blessed and holy he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years." These are Holy, undivided.
“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:”
"Behold I come quickly and My reward is with me to give to every man according to His work."

Actually no there is no agreement, because you believe a person can be unjustified, therefore you do not believe in justification.
AMEN.....even though it states we are justified by the faith of Christ eternally and the imputed righteousness of Christ.....

I thought you believed we are not born again in this life but that is something that happens after we die:unsure::unsure:
One inconsistency after another...........that is exactly what one gets when they deny verb tense, verbiage, context and the simple truth of scriptures......

You do understand that two cannot walk together unless agreed...right?

The bible does not promote tossing the truth out the back door for the sake of unity.....nor does it promote, peddle or push some sort of ecumenical kum ba ya of mixed doctrines and dogmas for the sake of unity..........

What is imperishable?
The Word of God.
It is the Word of God which cannot be corrupted and which cannot perish.
It is NOT referring to us, as is often stated here. Or, at least, that's what is made to be understood.
This is repeated in verse 25. . . The word of the Lord will abide forever.
What is the point of giving the scripture when you clearly are denying exactly what is states.

The SEED is Christ Jesus within us.

That is why is imperishable/incorruptible!!!

I know....go look above....she changed it to fit her theology...it is OBVIOUS that the seed we are BORN again of is INCORRUPTIBLE and that BIRTH is BY the word of GOD......

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD OF GOD.....yet the INCORRUPTIBLE aspect is AIMED squarely at the SEED we are born of...

It does no good to quote verses to a religionist that will TWIST it worse than an employee twists pretzel dough at Aunt Aunties Pretzel shop in the mall

HAHAHAHHA makes me think of the other religionist always peddling the Church CREED by the church father's as the all sufficient rule of faith and practice over the bible...........blows my mind......they will stake their eternity on the mere opinion's of men instead of the written word and just being honest with the written word....

Well I actually do not agree that Ephesians 2:8 is stating that faith is a gift from God.

It is however stating that the gift of salvation is from God.

If the "faith that saves" is from God well then we might as well dispense with a good chunk of the Bible.

Faith comes from hearing and believing
Eph 2:8 It's God's grace (underserved/favor) that's the gift..

All have sinned & therefore all deserve to die

Eph 2:8 For ""by grace"" ""are ye saved through faith""; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the"""gift of the grace""" of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

Rom 5:
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also """we have access by faith into this grace""" wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(NOTE: We are saved by grace, we access this undeserved gift of grace via faith)

Rom 12:3 For I say, """through the grace given unto me""", to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
(NOTE: Everyone receives a measure of faith. Not everyone acts on that measure)

This is what happens when a person is involved with this RC system they become blinded to the evil.

The Catholic institution is completely occultic, Egyptian mystery religions nonsense at its core, they have many mysteries and secrets.

Sadly many of the churches from the Reformation really have not divested themselves from Augustinian heresy.

No one, but no one, should be defending this institution

Here is one more piece of evidence

Transubstantiation (Communion)

In the Catholic Church, the Mass is heralded as the transubstantiation, or unbloody sacrifice, where small, thin, round wafers are eaten. The Babylonians worshipped Baal in the same way, using the small, thin, round wafers as a symbol of the sun god. The letters on the wafer, I.H.S., supposedly stand for Iesus Hominum Salvator, Jesus the Savior of Men, but in Babylon, they stood for Isis Horus, Seb, the mother, the child, and the father of the gods (the Egyptian trinity).

I support your calling a spade a spade!!!

Good Post, U G,

but you have to realize that there are many, many, more false religions of the same genre pretending that
they are followers of Jesus Christ...this is how they steal men's souls and make misery the master through-
out their lives...

Yes sadly this is absolutely true....but God is faithful to those that earnestly seek Him even when they are surrounded by men's lies, I know I was on them. :)

Yet some are saying that works are added to us being saved...There are billions of people out there who are disabled , cannot move yet are saved , there are people out there who gave their life to Christ this very day/night , and died on their deathbed without doing one work , they were saved because they believed on the LORD Jesus Christ from their heart...
I've noticed that its not so much about doing good works like feeding the poor.
Its what you DONT do. Meaning: Sin.

When people say faith + works like @GodsGrace101 is saying i guarantee he/she mainly means, not sinning like the devil.

Atleast in pentecostal background where i come from: You wouldnt lose your salvation not feeding the poor, but you would willfully sinning, like if you turned out a sodomite. Game over!

I am speaking only on Ephesians 2:8.

The measure of faith written about in Romans is speaking to the gifts that each person receives and the faith that accompanies them to be used, if you keep reading.

For Ephesians 2:8
This particular construction uses a fixed neuter singular pronoun (that) which refers neither to faith, which is feminine in Greek, nor to any immediate word which follows. (See Blass, Debrunner, Funk, 132, 2.) What all this means is that the little phrase and that (kai touto in Greek) explains that salvation is of God's grace and not of human effort.

Understood accordingly, Ephesians 2:8 could well be translated: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, that is to say, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God."

This faith is the instrument of salvation, not a substance but a response prompted by the Holy Spirit.

Faith is not a gift, I do not follow Catholicism and her sister churches or Calvinism which teaches that saving faith is a gift from God.
Scripture plainly teaches that God is not willing that any should perish, therefore he would not gift saving faith only to some and not to others.

Given your propensity for "disagree" and "dislike" I highly doubt I engage any further if that is the path you take.
