Since then, I leave another's ministry alone lest I trample God's work...
We can certainly leave the judging of peoples' ministries to God. But that is not the same as proving all things and holding fast to that which is good.

WOF false teachings are not limited to just the name it and claim it aspect. They have many other false doctrines which they blatantly preach and mislead people. Simply promoting the idea that tithing will bring material rewards is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE. There is nothing in the New Testament to support this. But there are other false teachings which are very harmful also.

I was addressing the fact that she said I misquoted the intent of the scripture. Then she gave some reference in Proverbs, I never used, to prove it. I am saying the interpretation of my scripture came from divine guidance. There may be multifaceted interpretation for any scripture as long as we don't limit ourselves to one. My statement may seems to be pretentious unless you look at what I was addressing. We both could have been right with different interpretations. Does that clear it up?

Again, I WAS NOT TALKING TO YOU. I WAS TALKING TO THE OP! THE PROVERBS VERSE WAS IN THE OP!

All you have done here, is show you have poor reading skills, did not read my post, and rather jumped the gun, about who I was talking to. And you still won't let go of it, go back and read my post, and see I never even saw your first post, before I posted.

I was going to go answer your first post, with your nonsense Word Faith garbage and complete lack of good knowledge of Bible interpretation. But, since you can't even get it straight that I WAS NOT TALKING TO YOU, probably I'll just comment to others, and not bother with you. I never used caps lock, but your nonsense and lack of reading or listening skills, have made me realize it is time for you to go bye-bye on my feed.

I am sorry. When I posted that I still did not know your weren't addressing me. That is why I had trouble with Proverbs. If you would hold off on the verbal assaults, on anybody, you won't get these kinds of misunderstandings. Quit accusing people of not reading, not praying or not understanding and you will be better received. The attacks done in red above shows unchristian like behavior.

You got the causality wrong. We don't give in order to be rich.

Jesus Christ has already made us rich thru the divine exchange, and we give out of that revelation.

Anyway, there are passages in the Bible that talks about sowing and reaping, 2 Cor 9:6 is perhaps the more relevant one, for cheerful giving. Its up to each Christian to decide for himself whether or not he wants to take that by faith.

If I want a car can I go to the dealership, place my hand on a car and say, I'm declaring that this car will be mine's RIGHT NOW!

The bible says:

there is power and life in the tongue.

If I tell the mountain to be cast in the sea, it will happen.

When the children of Israel were going through the wilderness, God came near their tents and heard them saying Moses took them in the wilderness to die. God said it will be done just as they have said. And only their children will see the promised land.

How do you guys feel on this matter?

My take:

Looking back on my years....40.....I remember responding to a person or situation that in the act of speaking, I felt myself thinking, Did I just speak that?.....It didn't make sense at the time but, looking back, it could be apiece of your life puzzle that eventually fits in due season.

Timing and waiting are the most difficult to live by but, unfortunately they are critical in achieving dreams.

Like Phil Collins knew: "You can't hurry love, you just have to wait!"

Also: Go ahead and do the car thing and then listen to your inner voice that doesn't use words.....Does it, MAKE SENSE?....Do you totally believe your words to be 100% true? You answer is within you.

If you and I were having a conversation and during it I responded to something you said with "that could move mountains", what do you think I would mean by that?

God tells us how to manage our minds, and that management truly does move mountains. Not the mountains made of rock and soil, but powerful great mountains.

Jn 16:23-24 'Until now you have asked for nothing in my Name, ask and ye shall receive so that your joy may b made full....Truly truly I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in my name, He will give it to you'. Also, Lk 11:3 says if we being evil want to give good GIFTS to your children, how much more good GIFTS will your Father in Heaven give to you'.

I actually did that at a car dealership, and the car immediately became mine, right after I wrote them a sizable check for it. :)

I believe Jesus was speaking figuratively in those verses in Mark 11, mountains in the bible are generally metaphorical for nations. In that same chapter, Jesus overthrew the tables in the temple and cursed the fig tree for not yielding fruit. The fig tree also has a symbolic meaning, representing the House of Judah. Peter then pointed out that the fig tree Jesus had previously cursed had withered, and that's when Jesus said in verse 23 that faith can move a mountain (nation). Remember the parable of the fig tree;

"A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him: let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it and dung it. And if it shall bear fruit, well and if not then after that thou shalt cut it down." (Luke 13:6-9)

The parable was preceded by his words: "Except ye repent ye shall likewise perish". The owner of the vineyard is the God of Israel (Isa 5:7). The dresser is the Messiah (3 years). It seems that the cursing of the fig tree is as if it is the finishing of the unfinished parable.

So Christ wasn't literally talking about casting a mountain into the sea, but preparing his disciples to carry the gospel to every nation.
"If anyone will not welcome you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that place, as a testimony against them. Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.… " (Matthew 10:14&15).

"Jesus turning unto them said, Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children." (Luke 23:28)

So the message was spiritual, the fig tree didn't bear fruit because it was "out of season". So it (Israel) would be a nation (mountain) cast into the sea (sea representing people of the world). And it would remain so until the end times, which would be marked by the fig tree (Israel) being re-established. "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh" (Matthew 24:32)

One way to change reality through your words is to cuss out your boss!

MOST LIKELY it will change reality as you know it.

I dont suggest trying it though!

Let me ask you this: Could God be dealing with others, with His word, in a way He has not dealt with you? I am a missionary / preacher and in a ministry for God. He can strip me of everything and I would think no more on it. All I have is His. Maybe you are in a ministry also. Could God's word deal differently with someone that has not already given all? Just asking...

Yeah, I get the context of your answer and statements, but the issue I brought up still essentially the same. You are saying that your interpretation came from "divine guidance". If it did (come from divine guidance), then why not just give the interpretation and let its validity stand on its own?

Hey, I am not trying to say who was right or wrong in the discussion; that is not the issue here. I just do not like to see debates where one or both sides are claiming that "God told me so".

God does speak to us today and I am a strong believer in hearing the voice of the Lord, but I will not use the argument "God told me" or "this interpretation is from God" to bolster my argument.

I know what you are saying Chester. I guess I let her get the better of me. I don't usually speak in such a manner. When something is posted on a dogma that she has a particular dislike for, she immediately starts a character assassination.

People should rely on the HS for clarification of scripture, but some will try to say that is new revelation. How people react to God's word gets emotional. We will all do better with cool heads.

Wow! Now there is honesty and realness for all the world to see!

Deade, my respect for you went up ten notches . . .

If you lived beside me, I would ask if I can come over for coffee and learn about life from you . . . !!!!!!!!:)

We have to remember that the Apostles were operating during a faith movement (Elijah) when these miracles happened. We are entering another Elijah movement right before Christ comes back again. Below is an excerpt that the Holy Spirit gave me some years ago to preach. It is from my notes.

What can hinder our faith works? Mark 11:22-24: “And Jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” This doubt is a bigger thing, in Christian lives, than is acknowledged.

Our testimony can be part of our faith works. Revelation 12:10,11: “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” We can overcome the enemy by our testimony. The Greek word for testimony is marturia (phonetically mar-too-ree’-ah) which can mean witness.

It is not a word of testimony or witness, until we put it into our mouths. What is involved in overcoming Satan with our word? John 14:12-14: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” Powerful words those. We do the same things our Lord did. /End of excerpt.

We may still see some of these things come to pass. Clearly, the word says we can do more than we are doing right now. If we convince ourselves it can't happen, it won't happen with us. I want to be a part of the next faith movement along with the two witnesses. Maybe even be one. :)
Is that a "yes" to my question?

The term Word of faith always brings contentions between the members of His body. Can two walk together unless they be agreed?

Not easily but it should be done if both sides remembered who we are a part of.

So, most here know where I stand on this. I turn the phrase around because it reveals the truth of the matter. Faith in the Word. The Word is a person who spoke many things possible if we believe in Who He is, and did He speak truth? Again, truth is a person also. And He gave us the way for all things. Again....😀

So what I will add here in this thread....Heidi Baker proved this. She had nothing to feed her little ones in a part of Africa where she started an orphanage. But, prayer in faith brought miracles.

Speaking His promises is what word of faith teaches. The devil has brought confusion about this by twisting the truth of some whose hearts are pure in this, but there may be others who only think of gain.
What I know from experience is that God is our Father and He gives good gifts. We have not if we ask nothing. Poverty doesn't prove anything.

It's His business to sort it out. Not ours.

This is amazing, This is exactly what I feel and see right now (in my personal life). He is emboldening me to testify these EXACT things to anyone I speak with for any amount of time. Just it's what's on my heart, and what comes out of my mouth. It was the same way in the flesh, before I was saved and at my lowest point, and all that was on my heart was how much I hated losing the use of my arm, and that was all that was coming out of my mouth. Now He has set a burning fire inside me these are the things I find myself proclaiming these things about, "now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ", praise Jesus name. This is the first time I've read this part with my current outlook, and just wow. I truly feel Gods power is being unleashed right in front of me, and I know the popular narrative is "the world is going to hell in a hand basket", but I believe all enemies are going under His feet, made a footstool. I know man's evil is more visible now, it's more transparent, and the ONLY thing that can change it is His grace, and He calls ALL to "come". The reason I'm so "optimistic", is not because of what I hear on the news, it's because of the power He shows me right in front of my face, the people that He reaches through me, it's till even kind of hard to say because it just so amazing and my name doesn't even belong near His glory, but I have to testify of this truth. I just feel truly overflowing and like i am watching, and I am AMAZED!!

Just wanted to share that, that you and I pray you all have a great weekend and are drawn ever closer to Him daily.
