I think you miss-understand the gospel. It is about learning to walk in His ways. You seem to believe it
is only about the success at the end, otherwise it is pointless. But you never get to the end unless you try,
but maybe if you have always given up, you never achieved what you aimed at.

Jesus calls us to the path, and to the goal. I suspect you no longer believe in either.
Um no

The gospel is aboit being restored to a relationship with our creator, or saved

Samctification is learning to walk in his ways.

Your mixing sanctification wih justification, and god will not allow that,

They may say they did not reply for they wanted answers to questions put, but it is a certainty, that if they could have answered them they would have
*cough* one of them actually answered you without hesitation 4 times, and a 5th time in detail...

I just want you to know in response...

Thanks for your time. I can see what you are saying. For now, though, I am redirecting, going to His feet because I need to get my mind off of my Salvation and on to my Saviour, too much I and me going on, lol. I don't want to bounce around in the word, tossing myself too and fro. I need to focus grasshopper, haha. I will pray that He continues to reveal His truth as I approach Him with a humble heart. My hearts condition will always hunger and thirst for more of Him. So in and on Him, my heart is fixed.

I will acknowledge that you have pointed out some excellent scriptures, ones that I have examined and an interesting and reasonable article. I just need more of the big picture (the entirety) studied to find the harmony in the all the scriptures. I believe in Him alone lies that reconciliation that divides. Does that make sense? I need to quit trying to have it (salvation) or Him all figured out, TODAY. It is NOT going to happen.

See you soon, if it is true that I need to sanctify myself through putting my whole mind and body unto submission to Him. I need to go spend more time with Him. If He does the sanctifying, I need to spend more time with Him. Dang responsibilities and sleep also need tending too, especially from your perspective. Hahaha just messing.

He, the Great I Am, the Alpha and Omega...is where my hope resides. To Him be the all the Glory, dominion, and authority. Amen.

Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 NASB

Knowing that He said that He can and will, tells me that I need to remember to whom I belong and to who has the power.
Thanks for a wonderful reply.

I do want to say two things.

1. You shouldn't hurry yourself with God. It sounds like you might be a fairly new believer. I've been here about 40 years (not this thread! Although it feels like it at times) and it's the only reason I'm able to be here at all. I know Who I know and am secure in my salvation and in my theology.

2. I don't know what you mean by spending time with Jesus. You must mean prayer time.
I don't think of it like that anymore. Jesus will become a part of your life. You won't have to spend a lot of time with Him because what will happen is that you'll take Him with you wherever you go and He'll be right there beside you all day long.

But I know what you mean about prayer time and this is good. It give God a a chance not only to hear you,,,but also to reply.

Blessings.

...Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4

...What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” But if our unrighteousness brings out God’s righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? Someone might argue, “If my falsehood enhances God’s truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?” Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and AS SOME CLAIM THAT WE SAY—“Let us do evil that good may result”? Their condemnation is deserved. Romans 3:3-8

Did the apostles say “Let us do evil that good may result”? No.

BUT some on this thread are proud to call themselves "SINNERS" and say that obedience to God has no bearing unto salvation while mocking and insulting those who say otherwise, calling them "SINLESS PERFECTIONISTS", "WORKS SALVATIONISTS", "CAINOLOGISTS" and "PEDDLERS OF A FALSE GOSPEL" thus calling EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL. (Isaiah 5:20-24)

...But God is faithful to His promises to His own people where Judas was one of them and was even chosen to be one of the twelve apostles who are servants of God.

...the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption as sons; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and THE PROMISES. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen. Romans 9:4-5 (See also Romans 11:11-36)

...So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God. Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “DO NOT GO BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. For who makes you different from anyone else? WHAT DO YOU HAVE THAT YOU DID NOT RECECEIVE? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? 1 Corinthians 4:1-7
What do we have to do with a GIFT from God?

If God gave you a car, are you just going to believe that it is a Ģift for you?

If God gave you a very promising job, will you just believe in this promise?

If God gives you something for being the Creator and Great Provider, will you just hide it under the ground?

...“Then the man who had received the one talent came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. “‘Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. And THROW THAT WORTHLESS SERVANT OUTSIDE, into the darkness, where THERE WILL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.’ Matthew 25:24-30

Salt and Light
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16

@Hevosmies

You know H,
I've asked a few questions today that I just did not get an answer for.

I'm still looking for that post I wrote...for you.

In the meantime...
Could you answer that question I had for you.

I had stated that if it weren't for the catholic church we wouldn't be here talking right now.
And I stated that it was them that put the N.T. together.

You disagreed and wrote that the early church did.

WHO WAS THE EARLY CHURCH?

Come on...
Give it a try.

Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, Jude, James, and the writer of the book of Hebrews, which most believe was Paul.

Now you're lying....like I said..NO honesty and no integrity...NONE of us including myself have ever said or implied that drivel.....thanks for proving to all who you really are....and for the record...I feel sorry for the people you have bamboozled in your church......

and to show how dense you are....did David commit murder and lose his salvation or was he stoned to death under the law?
David David David
Wherefore art thou o David?

You DO believe what you do or you wouldn't fight "us people" (as EG would say) so much.
Come jump in...the water is warm and the feeling is supreme and Jesus is waiting with open arms.

So, did you come from your mother's womb "born again" and free from the penalty of sin????
Nope

I came dead. Because i was in adam, amd in adam all die, and also i was born in unbeleif, yet, there is that unpardonable sin again.

When i was converted by faith, became in christ, and us such i will never die, (again stufy john 6) also because i was regenerated, (titus 3) and many many other passages which show born again to eternal life.

When I give my children a bicycle, I expect them to learn to ride it, not throw it in the bin.
I expect them to enjoy the experience and to actually want it, because they have expressed such a desire beforehand.

This is normal parenting.
also normal parenting is this:

being disappointed. not disowning your child because he fails at bicycle riding. loving them despite every failure and every wrong.

anyone who says they 'understand the trinity' is wrong.

I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.
(Psalm 131:1)
Bringing that verse just when you did was a God thing. Boy did I need that edification. Thank You Lord. Hope your wee one is better. God Bless you and your family.

Hello JPT

They WROTE the N.T.

They didn't put it together.
Actually the Catholic Church did.
Those that descended from the Apostolic Fathers.
The CC also kept heresies out of the faith.
And YOU know how terrible heresies are.

This is plain history.
Otherwise, who would you say "assembled" the N.T.?
(Please don't say God - I know that)

You are welcome.

When I first came here I couldn't figure it out.
It did my head in.
Not as much as Romans 7 does though:cool:

But when I figured it out (responding to part of a post that is) Oh happy day as you say.
I had old one down before they changed format does that work to break post into sections too?

1. The yoke your preachen is a huge burden, in fact impossible
2. Jesus said his yoke is light, and its easy, again, not what your preaching, if growing to maturity was easy, we would all be there, but we are not. So it must not be that easy
3. He said you will find rest for your souls, i have found rest, if your preaching you may lose salvation, you will never find resr.
4. No, it is not submission, it is taking, he did not say do, he said Take. You cant even get that right,
5, so when are you going to trust him and stop trusting yourself?
You know...JESUS rebuked the lawyers because they would lay a burden on people that they themselves could not keep or would not help with.........these workers for and salvation losers are just like the lawyers of old....they push and peddle obedience and works to gain or keep salvation all while being dishonest and deceptive........utterly amazing.......and sickening at the same time.......

This absolutely does not make any sense to me. Doesn't the Bible say when God forgives our sins he casts them as far as the East is from the West never to be remembered against us anymore????

If your future sins are already pardoned before you commit them, how could you possibly ask God to forgive something he don't even remember?

Most on here talk about Sin like it's something you cannot avoid and something that we all do all the time but the Bible says if you walk in the spirit you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.......... will not

Every man is tempted and drawn away of his own lust........ But does he not also promise a way of Escape with every temptation.

Again sin a choice.

That is what's wrong with our society today everybody wants to blame something or somebody for where they are. but each and every one of us is a product of our own choices
You dont get it

We are not told to confess our sins for Gods sake but for our own.

Thats how we find healing, not confessing your sin to god and others lets you live in the dark, god calls us to be open

You still think god needs you to do something to pay for your sin, news flash, he paid it all.

Sin is easily defined:
Sin is the transgression of the law 1John3:4
also sin is falling short of the glory of God -- Romans 3:23 -- which is every bit as true, yet far less palatable to vain man, who trusts in himself to keep himself pure.
