wow.
Talk about legalism !!

Jesus said:

Matthew 11:28-30 jesus:
28“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.
30“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
confessing sin isn't legalism . . ??

guess why he's 'eternally grateful' ?

Um no

The gospel is aboit being restored to a relationship with our creator, or saved

Samctification is learning to walk in his ways.

Your mixing sanctification wih justification, and god will not allow that,
Nor does he accept it........one of the many reasons they miss the mark....conflating too many truths into one big quagmire of fallacy.......

if all your sins.....even future sins were clean forgiven over 2000 yrs ago at Calvary.......how could we be born into this world sinners? Would we not be born already free from the power of sin if your logic is correct?
we are not of this world, friend. John 17:16

redeemed for eternal life. chosen in Him before the foundation of the universe. that's not confined to time. ;)

IS THAT NOT EXACTLY WHAT YOU BELIEVE?????

if you are a "christian" and you find yourself hating your brother and you die with that bitterness in your heart, do you not teach, that the christian still has eternal life?? yes or no?

if you are a "christian" and commit murder do you, dcon, not teach that this man still has eternal life? yes or no?

the answer is of course you believe this? that is your OSAS doctrine

why are you being such a dishonest snowflake with no integrity, getting offended when i simply explain what you yourself believe?
If you say a little white lie, if you now to do right and do not do it, your just as guilty as these brother hating murderers.

I am sorry man, you have a skewed idea of what sin is and the penalty of said sin.

You might notice Jesus called us to be yoked to Him, so we equally pull the load, not just sit
in the cart while He pulled us along.
the way you train a young ox is to yoke it to a mature one. the young ox, who is learning from him, doesn't pull the load at all - far from 'equally' - they walk with the mature ox, who is teaching them the way they should go. God's back is infinitely strong, friend.

You know...JESUS rebuked the lawyers because they would lay a burden on people that they themselves could not keep or would not help with.........these workers for and salvation losers are just like the lawyers of old....they push and peddle obedience and works to gain or keep salvation all while being dishonest and deceptive........utterly amazing.......and sickening at the same time.......
They do not see their burden because they do not see there sin, they are to busy praising god they do not hate their brothers, or murder, or whatever sin they judge, they cant find it in themselves to fall on their knees like the sinner, knowing he jad nothing to offer

Hello JPT

They WROTE the N.T.

They didn't put it together.
Actually the Catholic Church did.
Those that descended from the Apostolic Fathers.
The CC also kept heresies out of the faith.
And YOU know how terrible heresies are.

This is plain history.
Otherwise, who would you say "assembled" the N.T.?
(Please don't say God - I know that)

The Holy Spirit moved upon men to write the scriptures as well as combine them into the old and New Testament.

Otherwise I can’t prove who specifically did.

Be blessed.

I've lost the train of thought.....
I think @eternally-gratefull was saying something about sin I didn't agree with...
It sounded to me like he was being very legalistic about it.

Maybe he might want to reply...I really can't remember.

Give it up you already contradicted yourself by saying you cant earn salvation, then saying it must be earned. You lost any semblance of reliability in this thread, except for your cronies.

It is if your doing it to maintain your salvation

If your doing it because you trust god and love him, and want healed. Then no, it is doing he work of God.

Do you read English?
Do you understand it?

I hear from you that you know the difference between Justification and Sanctification and that my cronies get it all mixed up.

So...

Instead of aiming insults at people all day long...
Why don't you go read my post no. 86,862 and then come back and tell me why you don't agree with it?

That would be nice.

Brother...
What you described above is Eternal Security.
You have NOT described OSAS.
Maybe we could start using correct terms?

I also believe in Eternal Security.
i am also a big fan of using correct language :)

and i've said for quite a while, that 'OSAS' is an incorrect framing of the eternal security and steadfast hope we have in Him who saved, saves, and will save us.

thanks for mentioning it :)

Now you're lying....like I said..NO honesty and no integrity...NONE of us including myself have ever said or implied that drivel.....thanks for proving to all who you really are....and for the record...I feel sorry for the people you have bamboozled in your church......

and to show how dense you are....did David commit murder and lose his salvation or was he stoned to death under the law?
you still didn't answer the questions........your the one that responded to the post now to scared to answer what you really believe.

if you are a christian and die hating your brother, do you go to heaven or hell? why are you afraid to answer your own doctrine?

if you are a christian, and in a fit of anger kill someone, do you still have eternal life?

1 John 3:15 (KJV)
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

everyone reading this knows this is what you peddle......man up and own it

i've notice when you cant answer the question you just resort to name calling with a mean spirit

yes david committed murder but have you read psalms 51 where David repented.....the whole 51 chapter is David repenting saying things like:

"cast me not away from they presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me" (i'm sure you screamed at your bible "David, don't be silly once you got the Spirit, you cant lose it")

"Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. "

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. "

"Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit."

"Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee."

"Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness."

the difference between you and David is you don't believe you HAVE to repent like David did and you would still go to heaven

I had old one down before they changed format does that work to break post into sections too?
yes; you can quote sections of many different posts, or sections of the same post. when you go from page to page it even keeps a draft saved of what you've started to write, or the quotes you've started to collect -- tho that's a bit finnicky, because drafts aren't saved every second, so you *can* lose a bit of a reply you start to type if you start navigating around. so i suggest, open a new tab to collect quotes, and copy-paste them into the tab you write from. that way you are sure you don't lose any work. and of course, use preview-post for anything rather long or complicated you write

this button, in the reply box, is where you can either save or delete a draft reply you've started.

it's a big improvement over the old forum :)

I am still amazed at your post where you tol me you can not earn your salvation, then an hour later told someone else they must earn their salvation.

Your hurt yourself, i do not need to do anything.

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins . . .
(Ephesians 2:1)
i think you totally missed my point....

if the prodigal son had died in the hogpen he would not have been saved

when Jesus gave the parable he said "my son is LOST and is found" "Dead and is alive again"

a dead son, or a lost son, is not better than no son

he had to come to himself and come back home, the father did not go get him
