Let’s look at the words Jesus used.

Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
good idea; let's look at His words :)

He says
I have found -- not 'one of my hired hands have found' -- My sheep -- not 'one of the Father's sheep'

suppose He is talking about you being the shepherd: why does it say "
my sheep" ??
they're not yours. they belong to God.
suppose He is talking about you finding His sheep for Him: why does it say "
I have found" ??

It's OK D....we don't have to agree.

I WILL continue to say that God requires our obedience...
If you don't agree...you don't agree.

I do wish you wouldn't call obeying God an "embellishment"...
It doesn't seem like an embellishment to me...it seems like something God wants from me,,,a believer.

He requires nothing, no embellishments from non-believers/ they're lost anyway.
It is an embellishment........make no mistake.....your faith plus to KEEP is false Fran.............same garbage peddled by those who had deceived the Galatian churches.....and if you would take 3 seconds to actually ponder what I am actually saying instead of twisting what I and several others are saying you would see you also embellish what we say.....

Necessary to remain saved?
If you have no desire to OBEY God you're not saved.......will God lie and say enter in thou good and faithful servant if you haven't been good and faithful? I think not

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Acts 5:32 KJV

The version you listed as OSAS i dont believe that either. The bible says that someone who hates his brother is a mudrerer and no eternal life is in him!

You say you believe in eternal security i still dont understand how you can say that since you said salvation can be lost, then how was it eternal security? Im not the smartest guy in the world, so maybe im just misunderstanding

Anyhow. All those conditions you said like IF,CONTINUE, abide, dwell, believe present tense, fall away, etc.

It does say fall away yes like in that parable they fell away when temptation came. But it doesnt say where they fell away from, so we can only assume.

If you can show us a verse that says they fell from faith or salvation, then we would all agree with you i think.
I would never agree with her, because too many verses, verb tense and context must be denied and swept under the table or the word twisted to peddle what she peddles...

You focus recently on murder.
That's a big one
Another fallacy that the I save myself salvation losers peddle.....they quantify and qualify sins into nice neat little boxes...........I can sin this sin and I won't lose salvation, but if I do "one of the big ones" I am in double trouble...more hogwash

GOOD QUESTION, and the answer is NO! It is what my Born Again human spirit WANTS TO DO.[/QUOTE

How are you saved without the Holyghost????
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Please do not do what all salvation losers, Cainologists and workers for do....conflate ongoing sanctification and the desire to do right and serve with salvation and justification........the latter being instant at the moment of belief and the former subject to growth and maturity after one has been saved and justified by faith....

I didnt ignore it!

I just dont understand your response.

I know it says fall away, but you can fall away from right doctrine, all sorts of things. I'll believe you if I see fall away from faith or fall away from salvation!
Cannot to the point of the loss of salvation <---if we believe not, he abides faithful because he cannot deny himself <---note the Apostle includes himself in the use of WE

Im new here but I have to say I don't like or agree with all the name calling on this thread, when we result to name calling it Stops The conversation rather than push it forward to edification. and if our goal isn't to help each other and edify we probably have the wrong spirit
Or we are making a stand against a false gospel or dogma that is peddled by one that constantly embellishes what we say, embellishes and twists the word and is not very honest......

Jesus, John, Paul and Elijah ALL used sarcasm and very pointed names like Generation of snakes, White washed coffins filled with the bones of dead men, blind leaders of the blind etc.......

LOL

I don't have to take it up with Google Translate.
I was born here and speak Italian.

Here's your Italian lesson:

Nessuna refers to nouns....female nouns
Nessuno drops the "o" ..... male nouns

When speaking about people,,,like in this thread...it's nessuno---mix of male and female.
If it's only a group of females ,,,then it's nessuna.

There's more but I think you get the picture.

I'd like to use this opportunity to say that THIS is why Greek lexicons are VERY LIMITED in how we understand "the Greek".

If we don't speak Koine Greek,,,we shouldn't be discussing it.
We simply don't know enough...even if we studied it our knowledge will be incomplete.
So what.......................like I said.......googled it and posted what google said...........and of course you would say that about the Greek...it condemns your losable salvation that must be maintained.....

WE GOT HAMMERED LAST NIGHT with a FOOT of New SNOW here in Lincoln, NE. But it would have been a lot more, because it rained all afternoon, before it turned to SNOW. Where you from ?

View attachment 194934

How about you DC, or are you still trying to dig out ? ? ?

My sister, in Billings, MT. says they just got dug out, and they are going to get another 8 inches tonight.
Naaa, was almost 70 yesterday and sunny and 50 plus today....no snow...all melted

The worst isn't even here yet. The real blasts are supposed to begin around 5:00 pm here. Gusts up to 60+ mph. Plus, add the snow that's coming, and we're in for a real mess.
We got the winds, up to 60, went from 60 degrees this am to in upper 20s now

I answered your question.

My answer was “because we love the Lord and love our brothers who may be wayward.”

That’s my answer.

If you don’t want to answer my question then great.

But don’t expect me to keep answering your endless questions when you refuse to answer mine.

Do the lost need salvation?

JPT
Depends

Lost sheep, or lost goats?

Context would help.

If your born again would you even ask such a question?

Or would your obediance to God be motivated by your Love for him?
I think you asked the question

Budman just wanted clarification as to what you meant. I was curious also by the way, can you answer?

Salvation Losers!!!!! LOL. You have a way with words

I'm saying if a man has no DESIRE to OBEY God, that man isn't born again

I agree we grow in grace etc..

A man can believe he is saved and certainly not be saved.......the devil's believe and tremble

Regardless, I don’t tack on “no matter what” to OSAS, as if it means continuously live like the devil, but saved anyway. John makes a clear contrast between children of God and children of the devil (1 John 3:7-10).
They cant see that, because in order to see it they would have to admit they were wrong.
