This is true, none of us are immortal but we all have the promise of a resurrection. A promise from God is sure. If we don't have a part in the first resurrection, we will be resurrected in the second one. That is precisely why we can't assign anyone to hell, because God is not done with any of us.
If you are serving God only to keep yourself from burning forever, you will never be perfected in your walk with Christ. You are serving in fear. 1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
What are we to say to this? If God is love we must become love also. If we love like Christ did, we would be willing to lay our lives down for each other. John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
When we start loving each other like that, our fruits will show. Matt. 7:16 "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?"
Indeed, loving each other is how we show God that we love Him. 1 John 4:12 "No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us."

Jesus said He prepared mansions for us in His kingdom that our eyes can't even imagine. A lady, RR Springer, has an audio book online of her vision of Heaven while in a coma called 'Within Heaven's Gates'. 1. Peter 1:3 seems to indicate we have immortal hope...
2. Cor. 15:53 has us with an immortal body.
3. Tim. 6:16 says only God is immortal. ...
So.... .I lien towards the tendency that because we must die the first mortal death and be ressurected unto judgment but some unto the second death that we never become immortal because our God is the source of eternal life....
Doesn't seem like we would ever be fully immortal and only God is and that 1 and 2 above are mistranslated maybe....
Or there just isn't a specific noun word for eternal or everlasting.....
It occurs to me because Lucifer and his buddies are damned ... We to could get terminated even after receiving eternal life if we crossed a line somehow.
I just don't know.. .
Oh, we can call ourselves saved and even immortal as long as we realize we are prophesying the future. God even does this. Rom. 4:17 "(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were."
How can we do this? Because God has promised us salvation and immortality and given us His Spirit as confirmation. A promise from God you can bank on. You can even call it done. That is why we say we are saved. I have fixed my heart to serve God tomorrow and every day after that. I will not give myself the choice in the future, I might choose wrong.

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Notice delivered UP the kingdom to God. The end hasnt come yet!

Resurrection- perhaps the most misunderstood truth in the entire bible as it forms the core of our faith. I have always wondered, if people don't know this truth, how are they going to resurrect because it is the truth that dawns in us and this is what is called resurrection. Truth can not decay, ever, it doesn't pass away, it is not corruptible because it is full of life, it can not be overcome by death (decay) even for a millisecond.
So the idea that believers will die and sleep for centuries and then one day they will be raised is an erroneous idea.
Before Jesus, believers were said to sleep but were resurrected when Jesus resurrected immediately after His death; this is because Jesus is the tree of life and all were awaiting him, but in the Church age, believers don't sleep, they transition in a twinkling of an eye and this is their resurrection. Its because people cant seem to seperate flesh from body. Flesh will die and decay but our bodies are more than flesh. Exekiels valley of the dry bones shows that God can speak to the bones and he will raise them up and make them new. Not meaning we will be walking skeletons but we will actually be regenerated.
And its not purely spirtual in the sense that we become ghosts either. Because when Jesus was resurrected he walked around, ate, you could touch him. He ascended to heaven in a cloud and everyone saw him.
This is not an erroneous belief of a few he had 500 eye-witnesses. If they had cameras in that day you could have taken a photo.

Jesus is not a reincarnation or some transition like the hindus believe. Otherwise everyone will just be better to cremate themselves in the fire. Death technically is when you dont breathe anymore.
But if we have the holy spirit in us, well where is he exactly IN us. In our lungs? Our fleshy hearts? Or does he get right into the marrow. Something I challenge you to investigate.

Jesus was physically resurrected so that gospel could be preached to all, else how would anyone claim Jesus died and resurrected when His body was still in the tomb? The physical resurrection fulfilled prophesy and also set the stage for the gospel to be preached otherwise as per the scriptures, Jesus resurrected immediately after dying:

Jesus promised the thief on His right, to be with him in paradise that night but you want us to believe that Jesus was in the tomb that night and even the night after that. I'm very sure the thief's flesh and bones decayed in the tomb after so many centuries yet that night that he died, he was with Jesus in paradise. Flesh and blood can not inherit the kingdom of God.

What do you call this Noose? Holy possession?
If we are immediately with the Lord Noose, what happens here? 1 Thess. 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:"

1. Yes, it is important to note that there are TWO SEPARATE RESURRECTIONS, which are separated by over 1,000 years. The First Resurrection is for the righteous (the saints) while the Second Resurrection is for the unrighteous (the unsaved).

Has anyone grown seeds? You bury them right, then at the right time, they sprout to life. Same with us.
We say they are dead, but they are really actually dormant. Its like dormant volcanoes. To us, they seem doing nothing until one day they just erupt.
On the converse theres perishing. Ok everyone know theres some seeds that take ages to germinate. But they arent dead as such they still have life potential in them. A seed can only perish as it were if you burn it so that it cant even grow again, or grind it up to a powder. Or not bury it.
I think some people comfuse being resurrected with being saved and receving the holy spirit, being baptised then raised to new life as christians. Theres that, and then theres the actual resurrection that Jesus showed everyone. That is the promise to us too. Does that mean Jesus comes twice well I guess depends on how you look at it. I know I have not seen Jesus face to face but have faith I will Along with everyone else. Till then i can only 'see' in the spiritual sense. I have heard Him and faith comes by hearing, not seeing. But we will see, every eye will see.
