But suppose the servant says to himself, 'My master is taking a long time in coming,' and he then begins to beat the menservants and maidservants and to eat and drink and get drunk.
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.
Luke 12:45-46

A servant of God placed with the unbelievers. And the servant was a believer, which is why they are
placed with those who are rejected, unbelievers.

This is a brutal parable in both Matthew and Luke. Obviously the disciples thought this was a very
important parable and a real warning.

You do know there is a difference between do and keep don't you? One is a result of legalism, rules, outward. The other from the heart. The new heart.

If you want to try and explain away our commitment to obey Christ, then that is between you and your Lord.

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

If you believe that scripture means Christians can know Him, which is to say, have eternal life, by not keeping His commandments, then you go right ahead and live a life of sin.

hahja nope....cause I said = and that was the reference.... = a false gospel with no power to save hahhah
I was thinking that but I was thinking that maybe you meant to say "the Bible does not teach......

I just thought it was kinda funny since we know you are so firm on your stance, I just took it as a typo....but it did make me laugh.

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."
Gal 3:10

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?
Gal 3:1

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Gal 5:6

Where are works mentioned? Paul is talking about fulfilling the law through circumcision.

women will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety
1 Timothy 2:15

The verse above implies, lose faith, not saved. A bit worrying.

Na, we just are sick of people who keep comming back who have been banned, or continue to lie about others, and refuse to even acknowledge their own sin.
What on Earth are you talking about?
How can you ban me?

I don't think you know how to handle someone who disagrees with you.....if you don't want to discuss scripture then don't respond to my posts.....I'm not here looking for an argument......we disagree........so what! Paul and Barnabas didn't see eye to eye on everything

"This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."
Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
Heb 10:16-18

Because the law in written on our hearts and minds, we obey the law as part of who we are,
not because we are trying to be legalists or appear to earn salvation or the Kingdom.

It only worries you.

Obviously this "saved" is not referring to eternal life, if woman was eternally saved through child bearing then it is bad news for men and women who do not bear children!!

One can be saved from many different things in life... like not getting hit by that car one did not see while jay walking:)

A christian response to insult - fight, flight or God bless you.

A lot of believers expected professing evangelists on a forum wanting to win souls to not insult
or provoke or antagonise other believers. But then who said things were as they appear or that
the evangelists are not captive to other things in the hearts. One simple point is the anger metre.

Say the wrong thing, boooooooom. I think we should have detonation training sessions.

The army and police train their staff to stay cool with some really difficult people. The gospel is
no different and the people we meet are sinners in need of saviour, so they have often some serious
issues and are often very low on options, not a safe place to meet anyone.

The apostles are a good example. Stoned, rioted at, assaulted, despised and yet still rejoicing.
Amen, Praise the Lord.

Hi undergrace,

I am not worried by it, I meant it about those who hold they have a salvation
irrespective of faith in the heart. What I have also realised, is if this faith is not
Jesus can transform believers to walk like Him, it is probably not faith at all, but
just an immitation faith. It is like saying, my car is broken, and picking anyone
off the street to fix it. Having faith in them will not fix the car.

On the other hand finding a mechanic who can fix the car, giving them the car
and seeing them fix it, is having faith in them and seeing it work.

The difference with real faith is a fixed car.

There is no such thing as spurious or fake faith, one is either persuaded or one is not.

Now there are impersonators but they do not have faith because if they had faith they would not be impersonators. Capisci??

Yeah whatever dude

I made a comment, you took it personal, seems to me the person with he problem is you.

There are two people currently active on this page who have been banned, if you had been paying attntion you would know they are the ones i am talking about.

I have no problem with peiple who disagree, you should stop assuming things. You know what you do when you assume?

I asked you a few questions about the prodigal son, can you stop thinking i am out to attack you and respond to my question?

Well that means he earned his salvation, and salvation is not by grace. Because you can not unearn what you can not earn
Do You think he earned his salvation by coming home???

Before he left home he said to father.......give me

When he came home he said .... .make me as a servant

Showing his heart changed

No, i do not think he ever stopped being a son

Before he left home he said to father.......give me

When he came home he said .... .make me as a servant

Showing his heart changed
Again

Did he stop believing in the father

Did he consider his father no longer his father?

Was he against his father?
