Hello! My apologies for posting on this forum twice (hopefully I'm not bothering anyone)! Regardless, I'm curious as to what your favorite Christian song is at the moment - what song do you have on repeat? :) I've recently been listening to Shawn McDonald quite a bit; I'm always ready to hear some recommendations, though! ;) God bless! x

Favorite for what purpose? As a pastor, I liked to use a brief chorus expressing a spiritual longing to set the mood for our prayer time which often followed this 4-fold sequence: pattern: expression of joys and concerns, short praise chorus, 2-minute period of silent prayer, pastoral prayer. Here are 3 of my favorite short choruses for that purpose:

Sometimes I felt the need for more musical variety. Our traditional service featured "blended worship," which one pastor defined as "something for everyone to be unhappy about" :rolleyes:--a combination of traditional hymns and modern praise choruses. Ah, but I realized there was another musical genre for me to tap--country Gospel music. One of my favorites that I occasionally injected into our song service is "A Railway to Heaven:"
