The young lady in the video looked like she might've come from Bill Johnson's bethel church in Redding, CA.

The reason I thought she was from bethel is because they often appear to be drunk or stoned.

Ok,lets carry your "logic" forward.

A baptist minister has a convert.
This convert backslides and commits a crime at work.
You conclude that convert got a demon spirit instead of Jesus and the Holy Spirit right?
No
How did you get that out of my post?

She really acts strange - either completely deceived or putting on a big front, or maybe even demon-possessed?
Benny Hinn, NAR, Heidi Baker, Todd Bentley etc.
These form a theological group following Latter Rain theology. Along with the Toronto Blessing they represent
a spiritual dabbling without boundaries. And there is a common theme. A real sense of being drunk, an overpowering
emotional experience titled "wow"

The problem is it is just this, some experience or state that the participant experiences, but is neither in their control
or specifically with a known origin. You then get gold dust, angel feathers, prophecy with prophets speaking with the
dead, angels heaping up wealth to distribute, astral travel to the 3rd heaven, theology around being "gods", positivism,
healing no matter what, Kenneth Copeland and speaking forth commands to control the weather.

I know the feeling being in charismatic meeting back in the 70's - 80's. It was like a drug to some.
I spoke at length to one missionary who wanted to recreate this heavenly experience and would do anything to get
back there, even denying the obvious sin of Todd Bentley. So whatever people are talking about, it is like a drug
addiction. The fruits of these altered states speaks more about the emptiness of peoples spiritual lives than the
wonderful nature of them knowing God.

Spiritual laughter. Quote anywhere is scripture that laughter is anything but absurdity and contradiction.
I have laughed without control, at the absurdity of a missionary couple travelling all the way to africa to bring
back photographs of the plants they saw and having a special church meeting about this.
Equally with my children they have said something that are so absurd I would roll around unable to stop laughing.

Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.
Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
Luke 6:20-22

I've witnessed it. I know not only Christians experience this phenomena. Perhaps there is a primal part of the brain that gets triggered be extreme faith weather it be in God or the Oracles of Delphi. In short it may be a subconscious reaction in an extreme form. Some people stand in front of a fake fireplace and feel warmer or hear the wind howl outside and feel a chill.

Some people swoon while hearing a gifted orator or get caught up in a shared psychosis, especially while chanting 'Heil Hitler' for example. It really happened in my parents lifetime. There's no denying it. The techniques are common among cults when people disable their tendency to disbelieve they are fertile ground for mass hypnosis and psychotic behavior.

Dwight preached the word and people reacted. I was there. He and others that have similar abilities are not responsible for how others react unless the preachers are doing it on purpose for greed, glory or whatever. I would NEVER say ALL such responses are fake or demonic because if their is one that's real I would risk Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. For me, that's a bridge to far.
Some will hate a particular ex-charismatic christian, called Derren Brown
He has shown he can recreate a lot of the "healing" ministries, slain in the spirit etc. experiences etc partly through
hypnotic suggestion and partly because some people create the illusion of conditions they do not have.

I saw a lecture on what hypnotism is and it is remarkably simple. If you create a shock experience is some, they
are open then to hypnotic suggestion. If in a meeting of thousands you self select the most suggestible, you
can get them to reenact almost anything. The real issue to oppose this is real documented healings showing
people with conditions before and after such encounters. Time and again, when actual documentation and proof
is looked for, it is missing. God heals, but not by this means. This is just manipulation and a show.

We have had healing meetings all over the place, and still most are false. Why should the people of God support
that which is plainly exploiting people and manipulation of what people want not what is real or the Lord provides?

...or possibly on drugs.
The common experience of an emotional high when praising the Lord, maybe similar to other experiences
we have. A drug merely mimics certain pathways in the brain. It is possible through training and suggestion
that "highs" are created just be entering a certain state of feeling.

The combination between conviction, a belief something is true and a feeling, is very addictive.
So in christian meetings, with a lot of emphasis on ones emotional experience, and a euphoric expectation
of wonder, power, the impossible, some may be able to trip into a drug like trance. Being slain in the spirit
appears to be more about emotional overload and fainting than anything else.

We want to put labels like possession, or really moving in the Spirit, on to these states, when they are just
states of emotional experience. They have value when representing of love of Christ and God, and the Lord
can use them, but to exalt them to spiritual significance beyond this can fall into idolatry, where the high
is the thing you worship and not God himself.

In a lost world, where love and isolation abound, finding something powerful in the Lord can be addictive,
especially if it spaces you out. God loves everyone, sounds like John Lennon.

I have news for you. The gospel did go to the gentiles.
And this scriptures says "whoever believes".

John 14:12
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
Eventually it did, mainly through Paul’s ministry, but the disciples during Jesus’ earthly life was forbidden to go to Gentiles and Samaritans.

When I posted these scriptures below, you said this:
"That’s not Church doctrine, but to the disciples to show the Jews signs."
If you claim that these "greater works" have already happened,
please tell us who did them and when. Thanks.

John 14:12

Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

That accusation sounds vaguely familiar.

Acts 2:13
Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

Rod parsley only wishes he had the anointing of God. He is a fraud, and if not for the sake of other churches, I wish the state woudl arrest him for such fraud

When I knew him, he was a teenager, single, and on fire for God. What has happened since he married, had children, had success, and after time has passed, might be an entirely different story.

He has a flyer out, and in that flier, he says of you give this much money, he promises this many prayers (depending on how much you give) will be answered.

If he ever was following Godm Health and wealth has destroyed him.

I went to Christian Center too in the '70s when first born again. Lived in Edwardsburg, Mi. Was a telephone operator for GTE in Elkart. lol Don't know why I added that.

Anyway, I loved it there. Many miracles and manifestions of Holy Spirit.

Amen!!

I know Elkhart well. Between Elkhart and Mishawaka is a little town called Osceola. The best gage shop (Jus-Rite Engineering) in Indiana is located there. One of the owners back then (Jon Binns), worked with/for my Uncle and Dad at Fisher Body (General Motors) in Marion, Indiana. He retired and found two other people wanting a shot at their own business and they started Jus-Rite Engineering. Since Jon knew my Uncle and Dad (worked for them), he let me do my apprenticeship there :)

Side note: I know Edwardsburg and several cities in Michigan since they had businesses that were Jus-Rite Engineering customers :)

I did not pay much attention once he started his own show (Breakthrough). He is in Columbus, Ohio and I used to be 1 state West of him. All I know is this. When Lester Sumrall did his yearly Camp Meetings, Dwight Thompson, RW Schambach, 2 teenagers (Casey Treat (Seattle, Washington) and Rod Parsley (Columbus, Ohio)) highlighted those services for about 5 years running. During those specific weeks back then, I would testify to you that the Adversary went home with TWO black eyes the way those 4 men used to preach.

Obviously today, RW is no longer with us, Dwight left his television show and has been street preaching for past 15/20 years, Casey Treat is on TBN, and I believe so is Rod Parsley. And that is all I know. I have caught some of Casey's preaching recently, since his show does not interfere with my schedule. But as far as Rod is concerned, I probably have not heard him actually preach in 30 years.

I live in columbus. Parsly runs the world harvest church

I do not know much about his doctrines. Just will say he gives God a bad name in columbus, he has raped so many people (financially) in order to make himself one of the wealthiest men in Columbus. He always does commercials on a local christian station I listen to. I can say you can tell he is very charismatic. I can see why he draws a crowd. But he will get his one day.

That is too bad then and a great shame. The person I knew had no issue going all week wearing the same suit, tie, and shirt because he was all about winning souls, not about being financially secure.

It really is a shame, because like most people, I can only wear 1 pair of pants at a time. Having everything I want does me no good when I can only enjoy it once a month if that...

So a young girl does not have the ability to engage in a serious discussion. I actually see that in all the parties involved actually. She is just overt in her emotional response to confrontation. Its pretty unhealthy but I think they all are actually.
