One thing everyone is aware of who knows me is: Im a very very lazy man. I could not possibly look up all the not of works Scriptures. Here is my suggestion:

You do all the work for me, and kindly explain to me in Christian love exactly what works Paul is talking about. Deal? Sounds good to me!

Does not matter....he will not accept the truth anyway....If the works of the law will not save, no works will save...you cannot get more righteous than the works of the law and the bible is clear....NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS<---ONE CANNOT DO WORKS MORE RIGHTEOUS THAN WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS....his gospel is false and contrary to the truth...!!!

Those of us who have eternal salvation because we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior give thanks to God for His infinite mercy and grace given to us as a free gift. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

So are you saying Jesus called us to follow Him and obey Him or to ignore His word
and go against His teaching?

Because all the blessing is fulfilled in us obeying Him. Anything else is a betrayal.

Uh that's some of that OBEYING Jesus tells us to do BEFORE we get saved.
How do you think you get lifted up to the throne to live in Jesus if you never obeyed by humbling yourself?
If you never obeyed by humbling yourself then you were not exalted.

It is not of God to preach we don't have to obey. It is not a sound mind that says we don't have to obey.

Even Peter tells us that people misunderstand Paul and that they are not sound in the mind, then Peter warns us to obey.
Read all of 2 Peter 3, and especially 2 Peter 3:16, and 17.

You don't live in fear every day if you are doing something about your sins! Which that fear helps you deal with those sins.

False....we do not live in fear everyday because WE ARE UBDER GRACE WHICH OUTBOUNDS OUR SIN WHEN WE SIN....a concept that you cannot even begin to grasp and TRUE LOVE CASTS OUT ALL FEAR!!

Notice that - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (vs. 9) is IN CONTRAST TO - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (vs. 8) and - If we say that we have not sinned, (past tense) we make him a liar, and his word is not in us (vs. 10).

Certain people misunderstand 1 John 1:9 to mean that we must confess each and every sin that we commit as we commit them (keep a specific inventory) as an "additional requirement" to "remain cleansed" and "if we forget a sin we are toast!"

Genuine believers speak the same/acknowledge/agree with God's perspective about their sins and have a settled recognition and ongoing acknowledgment that one is a sinner in need of cleansing and forgiveness.

John is telling the believers that if they never admitted their sins, then they did not confess and repent of them, then they are NOT SAVED.

Oh there is for sure.....and that Spirit is not of God.....one who states they must become a chikd first to get the gift is not being led of God....that is for sure!!

Confess means to STATE or ACKNOWLEDGE.

Repent means to change ones mind

Two different words, two different meaning

When I first came to Jesus through the calling of God , I was all over the place...
One day I was saved , next day I was not , I was a sprout blowing from side to side...
Then when I came in here and I was told I was putting the cart before the horse , it upset me , I realized that what I was talking about was not biblical at all , but speaking from my own imagination...

DCon , you and others kept going on about grace through faith , and not by works , so I went away and studied that , and by Gods Amazing grace He opened the Scripture up to me and everything fell into place...

The word of God should not be taken lightly , it is good to keep seeking until we have understanding , my heart is sad towards those who say works saves , no one is saying or has said we do not work AFTER we are saved , for God alone has works for us before the foundation of the world , yes we stumble , but thank God His mighty right hand , the power of God lifts us up to walk into maturity...xox...

Security in Christ is through the cross and His love expressed there.
The extreme view of this security is a security without respect or love towards God, just
a privilege of being in the group. Now at first this idea seems appealing, we are safe in
Christ and our behaviour is irratic and unsorted out so we need grace and patience.

But there is a large difference between grace to continue in sin, and grace to work through
our issue to end up walking like Jesus.

Now some use grace as a license to sin, because they do not have open loving hearts to
find the will of God and see it literally work through them. Others who know sins deceitfullness
want above all to find that place of maturity in Christ.

What concerns me is when rather than respecting Gods ways and His work of maturity in us,
it is just an attempt to condemn and slander those who walk in Christs ways.

We know the fruit of sin and death, and our hearts beat is to know Jesus more.
There is no other way, this is the way of faith in Jesus, Amen.
