I also think Jesus knew these hardhearted Pharisees would never repent of their blasphemy.
Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is to equate the work of Christ by the power of the Holy spirit to the power of the devil....it is a state of unbelief into the work of Christ and it being from God, One in a state of unbelief cannot be forgiven, as long as they believe the work of Jesus is from the devil and not God, they cannot be forgiven!!

A few years ago, I got all freaked out and worried because I thought I had accidentally committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. I couldn't stop worrying about it. I have OCD and that made the matter even worse.
I never got a clear answer on just what the unforgivable sin is. And sometimes I still have feelings of guilt and condemnation. I really do feel like I may have crossed the line and that I remain unforgiven.
Take it from someone who knows....believing you have or might have committed the unpardonable sin is not a good feeling.

You become saved when you accept that Christ died to pay for our sin, so you take Jesus into your heart and mind, accepting that your sins are paid for. To know what sins they are, read the sins the sacrificial system tells of in Leviticus. Even the sins we are not aware of is included. We take all these sins to Christ and through this we are made clean and forgiven of all of them. After this we must live as Christ lived, without sin. Because we are human this is not possible, we are doomed to fail at perfect living, but as a saved person we accept living with Christ and follow as closely as we can. Our creator God is the only one who can forgive, but Christ paid for our sin and through this payment we are freed from sin. God is a loving God whose great desire for us is to live forever with Him, God loves you and the very heavens rejoices because you choose to be saved.
After your salvation you are free of sin that pulls you down and binds you, you have freedom to live with Christ in a wonderful life, sure of being loved and blessed.
The only unforgivable sin in the Bible is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit..
Many people have denied God in their younger lives but later on they have changed their minds and come to believe God and embrace His will and they where saved.. And yes i believe there has been death bed savings where a peron in their death bed has accepted Jesus just before they died.. So if denying God was an unforgivable sin then million of people who once did not believe in God but came to accept Him would be doomed..
