That is what satan done in the garden , twisted what God said to Eve...
The deceiver will always put an inch of truth in his subjects way , covered by the twisted lies...
Thank the LORD he warned us about satan's workers , the wolves in sheeps clothing...xox...
Amen Rose....and just think....ONE WORD added changed the truth into a lie and embellished the word of God

Is what he said more offensive than calling your views as IDIOTIC" with all sorts of slander and mockery?
You make big assumptions, speaking for myself I would definitely report no matter who it was directed towards.

Even if this was a moderated secular discussion board I would still disagree and report.

If the person had stated I was an idiot, stupid or anything else I would not have reported, to me while it still may be personal it still does not even come close.

Amen....by grace through faith....I am beginning to wonder if some cannot read, understand verbiage, wilfully reject it or are just that dense.... .
As long as we realize Grace came first or we would only have the law. We can have faith in something real only because the Lord showed us the Grace first. Not even Abraham was saved by works. No he had faith in the Grace of the almighty way before anybody ever heard of Nazareth. He had faith that God would keep his promise too. It was counted as righteousness. Thousands of years before the final blood sacrifice. Or the proof of the resurrection.

I'm studying Philippians in my morning devotions. Paul clearly states he trusts the Lord Jesus and Him only for his salvation. Paul gave up his claim on his own righteousness and that the righteousness which is of God by faith is the only righteousness that counts.
Amen Star....the underlying theme of Philippians is joy......a very good book.....keep swinging...appreciate your stance and input....

Hi UG, mercy, mercy, let it be known to "all", that coarse foul language will not be tolerated no matter who it is directed at. Remember Mom and Dad said to always say "please and thank you", try a little of that for a change.

Abuse of any kind needs to be stopped in its tracks before it has time to escalate.

Psalm139:21-24
21)
Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD,
and detest those who rise against You?
22) I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them as my enemies.
23) Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my concerns.
24) See if there is any offensive way in me;
lead me in the way everlasting.

I know....I love watching her transformation and even bolder spirit as she grows in grace and knowledge.....I will always defend her stance from the dissenters.....!!
So what is your stance about lying to the Holy Spirit? Can you defend your stance?

[quoting from commentary on James 2:26, for proper context]

"[…] the Holy Spirit now illustrates through the case of Abraham and Rahab, so different from each other, the one the Father of the faithful, the other the harlot of Jericho. The works of both bear witness to the character of true faith which produced them. In the case of Abraham he offered up his only son. Of Abraham it was said “he believed God.” That he acted as he did, in unquestioning and unhesitating obedience, was the proof that he believed God. What he did was the seal put on his faith, by which he was justified before God. Rahab also believed, and her faith was demonstrated when she received the spies, hid them and associated herself with the people of God, while she separated herself from her own people. Thus faith was seen as a perfect faith, as the true faith, by works. This is what the Holy Spirit teaches through James. In Romans justification before God is taught, which is by faith only. James does not say that our works justify us before God; such are not needed before an omniscient God, for He sees the faith of the heart, which man does not see. It is in exercise with regard to Him, by trust in His Word, in Himself, by receiving His testimony in spite of everything within and without--this true faith God sees and knows. But when our fellow-men ask, show me, then that faith shows itself by works. It is our justification before man. The argument is concluded by the terse comparison: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” "

Yes, they were saved. The Bible says all who were there were believers. As I've said many times, God does chastise His children, even to the point of taking them home, but they can never be lost.

How is taking them home a chastisement? Unless they went the other way?

EG you handled yourself very well, she thinks she is the moderator or something,
Well I am looking for the humor not there yet!
She thinks I am too hard on people. And I am that way with everyone.

When in fact it has only been a few, and I am not the only one frusted with these few. The problem is one of them agrees wit her so she thinks he is defending her. When he is not..

You and I have had disagreements, and some have gotten heated. But you know I am not against you.. Same with stones..

If yru going to lie about others, attack, belittle berate and all the stuff some of these people do. I am going to do what everyone here should do and confront you.. Sadly, I think some do not want to ruffle feathers. So I can appear to be hatefull. When I am just calling out a sinner.

The O.T. is replete with grace/salvation woven through it and the knowledge of the blood sacrifice and resurrection.........I can think of numerous examples without even digging....

...If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5

So what is your stance about lying to the Holy Spirit?
Did you agree to this post below by Budman or not?

If it is OK for them to lie to the Holy Spirit, it's no big deal for them to accuse, slander, insult, mock, name call and "change the grace of God into a LICENSE FOR IMMORALITY".

...But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” THESE ARE THE MEN WHO DIVIDE YOU, who follow mere natural instincts and "DO NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT". But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Jude 1:17-21

Notice the bolded above and what James is saying below...

...You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. James 2:22,26
Seoche....your blather = zero influence on any of us.....you cannot even be honest about who you really are.....go peddle your divel to someone that actually cares about what you say!

Faith that God would keep his word and Jesus would atone for our sins. Faith in something never seen because God made a covenant with Abraham.

What do you mean faith is something never seen?
I think he meant "faith IN" (not "is"--you've mis-read him)… IN something not-/never-yet seen, like here:

Romans 4 -
17 as it has been written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”—before God whom he believed, the One giving life to the dead and calling into being the things not even existing, 18 who against hope, in hope believed, for him to become the father of many nations, according to that having been spoken, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 And not having become weak in the faith, he considered his body already having become dead, being about a hundred years old, and the lifelessness of Sarah’s womb.
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith, having given glory to God, 21 and having been fully assured that what He had promised, He is also able to do. 22 Therefore also “it was credited to him unto righteousness.”

Well maybe you will disagree, but I do not regard BDF as church.
I so no point in pointing out anyone's failings as a way to moderate the discussion.
Which is what the person did.
Not cool

What is interesting to me, is if I describe what scripture says we should be, how we should behave,
what knowing Jesus means in our hearts, how you deal with insults, need, service, people get angry.

The connection should be obvious. Humbleness comes before repentance and turning to walk in His
ways. Anger comes with sin and rebellion, daring to suggest God expects us to be like His son or be
walking towards this goal. What greater pride statement can their be than a "christian" gets angry
about being encouraged to show the fruits of the Spirit. This is truly sad and tragic, because it declares
unresolved issues in their hearts that if they knew Jesus they would lay before Him.

Also imagine a believer who gets so angry hearing the word of God being declared they cannot face
reading it. Is that a heart after Gods heart, or someone who does not know the meaning of conviction
of sin and repentance and cleansing within?

11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible,
14 for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."
15 Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise,
16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:11-16
