I don't feel intimidated by smart guys. I do feel challenged, and that's a GOOD thing

When we stop learning and growing...that's boring :)

I suppose the same can be said of Intelligence in women too. I really like being challenged and inspired but, I know there are guys out there that upon meeting a woman who exceeds them in some intellectual capacity can feel emasculated. It could have a lot to do with how they were raised and their expectations of the role that a woman should play, based on their preconceived belief that women are somehow limited. Correlating with this belief is a reinforcing undercurrent that produces role models like Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson and Every Blonde Joke known to man. Clearly not Proverbs 31 material but, not everyone strives to find Perfect Good.

Adventure is a different story, I mean some people are just born to be home-bodies. I don't blame them because everyone is wired differently.

Actually...I'm rather attracted to intelligence and wisdom...especially street-smarts over book wisdom. I find it difficult to think of myself with anyone who wasn't smarter than me...it's something I definitely look for.

I'm actually quite surprised.

Adventure and Stability have tied for the 5th spot, leaving Intelligence out in the cold altogether.

Hmmm...probably not the same people voting for both.

(edit) Except for me, I just noticed.

I think this is the reason so many women feel the need to "dumb down" in order to date. And that's sad, isn't it?

Nooo, I'd lovee to talk about important topics or just random stuff with my partnet and get interesting points of view from him, I find it very challenging :).
And I'm shocked how low Intelligence, Adventure and Stability are , I though they would be more common, guess not lol .

Stability is a fun one.

As a man, Emotional/Mental stability in a woman is Far more important to me than her financial stability.

It didn't make my top 5 but, at the same time it is not any less important. I've met a ton of crazy women who seemed okay on the surface. Its kind of strange but I have a theory that adventure seems to balance out emotional/mentally unstable. Like how many missionaries wives has anyone ever read about that decide to wear the curtains like a toga and think they are the woman who rides the beast in Revelation?

Lol, truee; well I personally think that we all need a little of adventure in our life, at least is important to me...I mean I'm not saying I want to swim with the sharks or something like that ,but outdoors activities or maybe just visiting a new resturant instead of the same as always is something we all can do and it kinda makes you feel more active and energetic, at least to me, it helps me emotionally :).
By the way, I chose stability more in the way of emotional/mental , like you said there's a ton of crazy men looking like prince charming out theree and thenn taaaa-daaa CRAZYY BOY! lol. Financial stability has it's importance too, though, specially when you're looking a partner for marriage.

I think intelligence is important but not as important as some of the others.

Well, I guess that depends on everyone's tastes, If I could I would choose ALL of those, but I put intelligence in my top 5 cause I consider it would fit me better than others, is not my number one in the top 5, though. :) I guess everybody choose the ones that fit them better or help them/complements more with their own personality.

I think the difference between People who value Stability and People who Value Adventure is on a personality basis.

They are not related, one might even say opposites so to have them tied as the 5th most valuable attribute is pretty astonishing.

Also to note Compassion appears to be Catching Wisdom for the #2 spot.

I'm sure there is a male order Husband website, where you can plug in details and in 6-8 weeks your dream will show up at your door, equipt to make you happy but, until then, Perhaps you should make your own poll/thread.

Well I didn't see stability as something that has to be opposite of adventure, just like mental/emotional stability in the way that you feel good with yourself, you can control your emotions, and feel on the right place to be, that gives you confidence.
With confidence it's easier to look for adventure, and adventure gives you confidence, I don't know if that makes sensee hahaha that's the way I see it, but of course, it is very personal and maybe you see them in a whole different angle; for me they are tied together in my top 5 :)
