Do you like to cuddle?

I was wondering if men liked to cuddle as much as women. Please tell me if you like to cuddle and why or why not.

You bring up an interesting question in my mind now about this sort of thing.

There are things that are obviously *not my thing* sorts of things. lol (confusing sentence to say the least!)

BUT, where do you cross over and do them for the other person, even though you really dislike it.
I know there have got to be some women who do not like to cuddle....they like their personal space. But for the most part women do like/need this as quality time.

Same with things that a guy may be into or need, that she takes an interest in it so that their relationship can grow.

Hopefully this has made sense.....but I think its needed in relationships to go that extra mile, even if its something that may not have much meaning to you personally.
Its all about loving the person in a way that is meaningful to them.

cuddling strengthens the relationship because just cuddling in silence your body communicates in ways words could never

That's so true. I want to cuddle and I would hope that if i ended up with a guy who doesnt like to, that he will still do it sometimes just because I like it. And i wouldnt expect him to all the time because I wouldnt want him to always be doing things he doesnt want to do.

Physical Touch is one of my Love Languages, so I certainly love to cuddle. ;) My Husband does loves to cuddle as well, so this is no problem for me. Yet, there are times that I'd wish and need cuddling a lot more and he might not notice this, as I don't always want to tell it direct to him with words. So I now know that I during those times need to let him know with words, that "Heey! I Need You To Cuddle Me!" ;) :D

Now hinting isn't always the best way to do too, as many of us might try at times. ;) Lol! :)

I think that a husband and a wife will find out more and more through the years how to please each others in ways that they know their spouse likes and feels loved the most. It is also a matter of training as we might not be very used to doing it the way our partners thinks or expects from us, yet, we and our partners also needs to learn and respect when there are some ways of cuddling the other spouse dislikes. Everything is a process of training in it's self, I think... :)

Not exactly into cuddling here, but not opposed to it either...physical touch is just not something I'm that into...probably had something to do with Nod's creepy hugs.
I might change my mind if I was in a serious relationship, but if you just met me, hold back on the hugs, please.

Im glad my hugs have left a long lasting impression on you ;)

i dont do cuddling, and the word cuddle is on my list of top ten words i HATE!

I'm a very affectionate kinda person, so if you don't wanna be touched or hugged, stay away :) Unless I'm sick. Then go away for your own personal safety.

I do wonder though whether the definition of "cuddle" varies for some of us.

I think you are right Jullianna. A hug to me is not cuddling. Neither is being close and watching a movie.

I picture cuddling being more of a rubbing/ticklish/giggly sort of activity.

That sounds about right, Liamson. Though the silly stuff is fun too from time to time. :) Can get obnoxious if overdone.

So I think of cuddling as being hugged up un the couch under a blanket maybe watching a movie. Not neccessarily tickling or rubbing.

I dont know what the word is for what you described. Maybe weirdos that like to rub, tickle and giggle.

Cuddling done right............

If you are huddled up on the couch under a blanket, thats just huddling on the couch under a blanket. Which is fine if you are watching a movie. However if people are consistently trying to each other to make themselves cozier, that is snuggling. If you multiply Snuggling by about 10, then you arrive at Cuddling.

Which btw makes watching a movie impossible.

Oh and the boy with the dog, yeah they are doing it wrong.

Yeah u r right, getting closer and closer is more cuddly than just kinda snuggling. I guess cuddling is trying to get as close as possible without actually being one body.

With all of these different definitions of cuddling I also think that its important for couples to discuss what they think cuddling is because with so many versions you could be heading for trouble.

Well, then. Cuddling is where I sit in a comfy chair all relaxed with my favorite book and a cup of Earl Grey tea, and she is sitting somewhere else. Aaaahhh.
