If Joe is just repeating what he has been taught he is a victim of denominational error. I would think the shepherds would be those judged, not the sheep.

But, it's just an opinion. I'm not God.

Don't blaspheme or speak evil of anyone would be wisdom wouldn't it?
What if joe said it because in his heart he believes it? Not because he was taught it? Is he lost forever?

The op said Joe commited the unpardonable sin, meaning he is lost forever with no hope of ever being saved even if he repented of his thoughts on this subject ten years later.

Is this true or not?

That was the question asked by the OP

Why would Joe say it in the first place? It's offensive to Pentecostals. It's not walking in love. And it's not truth.

Is Joe really a satanist? Or whatever they call themselves. The heart is the issue.

Maybe because that is what he feels because he believes in full cessationalism,

Maybe pentecostles offend him with all of their stuff and what they say (like threads like this)

Maybe?? (It is not for us to ask the question of why, we can not read Joes mind)

But that is not the question the OP asked

He asked if joe committed the unforgivable sin or he did not.

Is the OP correct or not sis?

I would be very careful to not call anything that is clearly seen in the scriptures as from God, and being the will of God for His children, of an unclean spirit.

Because, it's the Spirit of Father Himself. Holy Spirit is not an it.

Why would Joe read anything that he knows is offensive to his belief, or to his unbelief which is accurate?

Just to argue against it?

I do not know sis, That is not the question the op asked you would have to ask the OP

The op asked a question

Can you answer the ops question?

Did Joe commit the unpardonable sin, or did he not?

Is he lost forever, even if he repents or not?

Or did he NOT commit the unpardonable sin

I am not saying I agree with this hypothetical Joe, I do not, I do not agree he committed the unpardonable sin however, do you?

I won't be trapped EG. That's for God Himself to judge. We may warn.

I want you all to know this....every time you speak against tongues or the giftings in any way, I will ask Father to forgive your unbelief and have mercy on your soul.

I stand with Ricky on his warning which he's soft pedaled here in this thread, because he has a good heart. It's obvious. You who claim to be the Lords are offensive here on this site to many who have EXPERIENCED the power of Holy Spirit.

Is it jealousy? No need. Ask and He will freely give to any who obey/believe.

If you think I am trying to trap you sis. Then something is wrong.

The OP asked a question.

You could answer it. Or you can continue to try to ignore it as you are doing.

If you do not wish to answer the ops question, fine. I am sure he will be very happy you defended him as will quite a few other people. (Even though to the rest of us, It is not a real good thing, it seems like your trying to defend at all costs)

But thats on you..

Ps. Ricky did not give a warning, He asked a question..He can give a warning without claiming people wo do it commit the unpardonable sin, Like I told him a few times already as have others

Did Joe commit the unpardonable sin? Or did he not? That was the OPS question, Not my own,

Your refusal to answer. Well

I am done,, That speaks on its own.

“Is Joe guilty of blaspheme?”

This is Ricky’s question. Not EG’s

How in gods name this can be turned to EG trying to trap someone,, I mean really. Wow,

what some interpret as a refusal to answer is actually a response to goading and bullying and it needs to stop

you gave the only answer possible and I commend you for it

just so.

One thing I do not think people realise. Saul/Paul was a pharisee. There is a good chance paul himself was at this meeting, and was one of the ones mocking. Did Saul commit the unforgivable sin?

lol, I think it became confused by Joe's name i.e. "g.i. Joe"(ambiguous),,,but if the op said this,,,,,

"There was a man named Saul. He did not believe Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah and set out to get a letter to go to Damascus and arrest as many followers of Jesus as he could and endorsed stoning them to death."

So Saul rejected Jesus, saw his death as nothing, saw his followers as criminals and participated in,and endorsed their death's,,,,did Saul commit the unpardonable sin?

Saul rejected Jesus as the Messiah, so no , he did not commit the sin for which there is no forgiveness and creates a heart so hard it believes it does not need forgiveness

and what does Jesus say about this?

Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin’ — for they were saying, ‘He has an unclean spirit. Mark 3: 28-30

And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven Luke 12:10

Jesus plainly says that EVERYONE who speaks against Him will be forgiven but the one who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven

and that is the inescapable conclusion that is so handily ignored by denominations who speak agains the Spirit of God and attribute His works to the devil

apparently Jesus will accept abuse and being called a devil

God, however, will not allow for His Spirit to suffer the same

lol, then it has to be something other than that or Saul is guilty of blasphemes of the Holy Spiit.

Jesus already stated where Saul/Paul stood regarding that

nothing funny there at all as some in this thread are in total opposition to the work of the Holy Spirit

there is a difference between that and actually saying it is of the devil

if you find someone stating that what the Holy Spirit does is satanic or that all people who believe in the gifts are demonic, then you have found someone who blasphemes

if someone does not understand what Jesus Himself said, then they can always pray for understanding...also as the scripture states

They miss the whole point of what Jesus was trying to say.

He was WARNING THEM.

ALL people before con=version are in a state of unbelief, thus they are condemned,

If in that unbelief, they continue to ignore the signs jesus did through the power of the HS, and the word, which is given by inspiration of the HS and continue to deny jesus and die in that state,

They have commited the sin which shall never be forgiven.

Thats WHY paul could be there most likely nicodemus was also (and still be saved. Because they did not ultimately commit that sin.

If they did not. How could joe commit it?

Amen, Thats the thing that puts the discussion to rest.

If anyone has committed this sin, It can NEVER BE FORGIVEN in this age or the next..

If it can be forgiven, it is NOT the unpardonable sin
