Well, God's word is the only thing that has ever stood the test of time. The fact that we have debated it for thousands of years is a miracle in itself. funny thing is, it doesn't present itself as a religion... it simply claims to be the word of God. People can be religious about just about anything, and that is when things get a little crazy. Discovering the true nature of God isn't crazy at all. Most people recommend reading John, especially if you're just starting to read the Bible. Personally, I prefer Matthew. Why don't you start reading and asking questions in the forms when something doesn't make any sense😎

Glad the song touched you. That's one of those led by the Spirit things, cuz I kid you not, I have been WANTING to post that for like 4 days and every time I get online I completely forget. I no sooner logged off, it comes into my head I start singing and that still small voice whispers "Give this to Soph" gotta couple more in mind for ya. I'll pass them on when things settle down and I can pull them up later (tonight/tomorrow, not sure where in the world you are, lol, I'm currently @ 4pm

My experience regarding hearing the voice of the Lord is much like GG's. People in USA think we are goofballs just like they would where you are. As she says, He was there all the time, we just had to learn to listen.
Hebrews 11
11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
I believe that this sense of close communion with Him is part of the reward spoken of in the above verse.
Revelation 3
3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
That is one of my favorite verses. The word 'sup' implies a very real and close relationship between two very real and connected entities.
Matthew 7
7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
It really does get sweeter and sweeter as the days go by. Of course the world doesn't understand it. How could they?

Seeking to understand the infallible and eternal nature of God is the only thing that gives true meaning to this temporary life. If you're not seeking to know God's will, then you must only be serving your own.
