John is the one who said that "WE KNOW that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren
Sounds like John is saying "love of the brethren" is a litmus test for salvation to me.
Also, doing good reveals we know Him and doing evil reveals that we don't
3 John 11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
And if you do not have fruits, you do not have the wisdom that is from above, according to James.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

They are not for you because you already demonstrated that you do not fairly represent people, as evidenced by the fact that you said that I claimed that we somehow retain our own salvation. That was an egregious misrepresentation for which you never apologized for.
All of the men below held to the same position I do on perserverance/ Do you see anything about "man maintaining his own salvation?
