'Ponder this'..."Because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don't know we don't know."......:)

Sorry to disagree with you but God DID choose AND anoint Saul.

Saul certainly wasn't in sight of foreknowledge who God KNEW, and raised up to be King, but He did choose Saul.
Yes, but was it not God allowing Israel the have the king They desired?

So why jump to conclusions?
Maybe God choose Trump and maybe He allowed the USA to have whom they choose.

Yeah.

God said "He's gonna take your money, he's gonna take your land and goods, he's gonna take your women, and send your men to war"

And the people said "Yeah.... We're good with all that! Now give us a King on OUR timing, not Yours!"

Yeah.

As we study about Israel, it shows us just how easy it is for man to fall into sin even with God's glory and grace, and yes, judgment, ever present with His people.
Best keep one's eyes on HIM at all times.

Choices:

I ran into a guy in a 7-11 that had a very hungry child in tow, but he didn't have enough money to feed him properly.

He had just enough money to buy 1 piece of junk food.

He was standing there in the aisle, complaining about how all the junk food was bad, and none of it was "worthy of his money."

He then raised the question to me, like I was supposed to agree with him.

I said, "Well, you could probably read the labels, and find whatever junk food is LESS BAD, and then buy that so your kid won't starve. But if you're too busy being self-righteous to buy your kid some food... then I guess your kid deserves to starve."

.

Peanuts are 2 for $1 in a lot of stores. Can't go wrong with peanuts ;)

I do feel like local politics is where we should focus our time and energy.

Trickle up politics may be a thing.

If God did not know, beforehand, exactly what was going to happen with Saul, then God is not omniscient.

I'm sorry. Where did I say God didn't know what would happen?

Since it looks like it will be Trump vs. Bernie in 2020. I personally agree with all that Trump has done, but some may argue differ which is great. Trump has stood up for freedoms time and time again when the left bows down to them. The left is in a battle against Christianity and Judeo Christian values that the nation stands on. While you may not like Trump as a person, he has arguably stood up for these values. For instance, he stopped sending money abroad to fund people's abortions in other nations. That is just one of many examples of where he has stood up for Judeo Christian values. May I also remind you when you vote for president you also vote for the vice president. Trump's vice president is Mike Pence, a highly respected Christian politician who stands firm on his Judeo Christian values. There will never be a perfect politician, ever. But we must pick who is going to respect us the most, and I would argue that Trump will respect you and your values over Bernie any day.

Since the left specifically, and society in general, thrive on identity politics, Kamala Harris is really the only candidate that might beat Trump. She is also going to be the candidate the media will push in the primaries.

I don't fear Bernie Sanders at all. Old white male millionaire Socialist, that partied in the U.S.S.R. as a friend, and has all kinds of bad baggage, isn't going to beat Trump.

If, God forbid, a democrat MUST win, I hope it's Biden. He is the least loony, unreasonable, and platform wise, wicked of the VERY wicked left.

What do y'all think of Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA)? He is 40 yrs old, a Christian (Protestant), has an impressive military record, and just announced he's running for president.

The problem with ANY democrat is the extreme leftward lurch of not only their loudest elected officials, but their platform and primary electorate as well.

They now openly advocate murdering children not only in the womb up til birth, but even after birth in circumstances that the mother and the Dr. agree on.

There is not even a speck of room in the party for a candidate who espouses one man one woman marriage.

There are many other reasons even a slightly moderate dem can't win a primary, but those 2 seal the deal. By their platform alone I don't understand how ANY Christian could ever vote dem, much less run for office in that party.

In 2016 I refused to vote for Hillary or Trump. Neither were worthy of my vote.
I am glad Hillary lost but do not see Trump as the "Christian" savior of our nation that many do.
While Trump has done a few, very few, things I approve of, I see him as a very vile, self centered man.
I see nothing to cause me to believe He is a Christian.

Don't see any one running yet that I deserves my vote. Hope that changes. Hope we have a better choice.
Seeing that we have a "Who will vote for Trump again" thread, I though I would revive this one that I started in April.

Am I the only one who is still looking for a better choice.

As of today, the Dems definitely do not qualify as a better choice, but I still have issues with Trump's character.

Please, please, please, let us have a better choice.
