Jesus never came from Zeus......Do you honestly think GOD would inspire verbaige that TIES HIS SON to some pagan false GOD NO.....it is the GREEK version of JOSHUA and regardless of where Abraham came from and or his son ISHMAEL, it does not change the fact that ISLAM came from MUHAMMAD and did NOT come from Abraham and or ISHMAEL...that is pure idiocy and denies the very history of WHO started ISLAM and during what TIME FRAME
No, you are correct that Muhammed started Islam but Ishmael learned pagan ways from his mother.. I remember something about the god of force and Ishmael. Am trying to find.

I'm not taking sides here. Just reporting. :)

Decon I heard that Jesus came from zeus many years ago.

Look at the history of Islam and Ishmael. Plus God said he would be against everyone and everyone against him. It's a fulfilled prophecy in Islam.

Did Abraham come out of the country that worshipped the moon god? Is what I was trying to find when my ipad died. On computer now.

Don't get so angry both of you. Discuss. Use your peaceful words.

There is no need to further this discussion. It's obvious, he NEVER went to Seminary, and it's obvious, he is using an ENGLISH translation of a GREEK word and is too blind to see the obvious.

And NO, since JESUS was NEVER the FACTUAL/ACTUAL Name of God in the flesh on Earth (Yeshua was His real Name that means in Hebrew = Yahweh's Salvation), it DOES NOT MATTER that it comes from ZEUS + NYSA because JESUS was NOT nor ever WILL BE the actual and factual Name of God.

Jesus is a TRANSLATED Name that is factually incorrect!! So, it would not matter where that NAME comes from, it's not HIS NAME nor EVER will be His NAME!!

He is too slow to put it together.
All you can do is pray for him!!

And, where did Mohammed get his information concerning Abraham and Adam?
That has been a Muslim tradition WELL BEFORE MOHAMMED ever was born!!

What you cannot grasp...there were NO MUSLIMS before Mohammed started ISLAM.......try to let that fact sink in pal....and POST 82 = more ignorance of the facts and calls me a liar concerning seminary.....keep falsely accusing me and lying about me......see how that works out for you pal

According to tradition, the Islamic prophet Muhammad was born in Mecca around the year 570. His family belonged to the Quraysh. When he was about forty years old he began receiving what Muslims regard as divine revelations delivered through the angel Gabriel, which would later form the Quran.

The history of Islam concerns the political, social, economic and developments of the Islamic civilization. Despite concerns about the reliability of early sources,[1] most historians[2] believe that Islam originated in Mecca and Medina at the start of the 7th century, approximately 600 years after the founding of Christianity. Muslims, however, believe that it did not start with Muhammad, but that it was the original faith of others whom they regard as prophets, such as Jesus, David, Moses, Abraham, Noah and Adam

WE KNOW the last LINE is FALSE because NO SUCH religion CAME from NONE of the men listed.......therefore THEIR BELIEF that ISLAM and or MUSLIM FAITH preceded MOHAMMAD was FALSE..........

THAT is what YOU CANNOT GRASP..their own VIEW is skewed and false

I will answer this, before logging. They were Arab, still does not account for the fact they had a tradition, created from Abraham who taught them about Adam and about God. And this tradition was established THOUSANDS of years before Mohammed was ever born!!

Like the Jews and Christians, most Muslims do not abide by the violent passages in their holy book.
You didn't acknowledge a thing I posted, but ran headlong with your biased ignorance about Islam. You have obviously never read nor studied Islam and the teachings of their so called prophet. Your ignorance just may get you killed. You have no apparent knowledge of history or current events. Your ignorance is exactly what Islam preys upon.

Muhammad allegedly claimed that the Antichrist (called the Dajjal) was to appear shortly after the Muslim conquest of Constantinople. The following traditions are taken from the Sunan Abu Dawud: allegedly claimed that the Antichrist (called the Dajjal) was to appear shortly after the Muslim conquest of Constantinople. The following traditions are taken from the Sunan Abu Dawud:
All those names have no bearing on hearing God called the hearing of faith (his)

Muhammad or any other man after the prophet John on the island of Patmos is automatically shown as a false prophet bringing the what the Bible calls the poison of serpents. Believers that heed the warning at the end of the book of prophecy will not be affected by the poison of the Quran's false prophecy.

We are to try the spirts to see if they are of men or God. God is no longer adding for over 2000 years. He has sealed off that possibility with seven seals .

The whole idea of two sources of one faith (the faith of God) is simply not possible. No man can serves two teaching masters . The Bible and the Quran. Or the Bible and the book of Mormon, or the Bible and the book the Jehovah witness or the same with Catholicism having another written media as there source of faith use to make the Bible without affect.

To the test in 1 John is easy to apply to those who obey the warning not to add or substract form the perfect..

I never saw the original poster ever comment on anything.

It was like he just dropped a little seed of hate and the people here watered it.

Not sure why. You didn't see it coming?

I am not sure about watering it? There is nothing to water it with. Exposing it as the poison of false prophecy, yes.

I think he means through Ishmael.
"... there is no historical evidence for the assertion that Abraham or Ishmael was ever in Mecca, and if there had been such a tradition it would have to be explained how all memory of the Old Semitic name Ishmael (which was not in its true Arabian form in Arabian inscriptions and written correctly with an initial consonant Y) came to be lost. The form in the Quran is taken either from Greek or Syriac sources." (Alfred Guillaume, Islam, Penguin Books Inc., Baltimore, 1956, pages 61-62) https://www.answering-islam.org/Index/A/abraham.html

How did Islam begin?
Islam is a monotheistic faith centered around belief in the one God (Allah). In this regard, it shares some beliefs with Judaism and Christianity by tracing its history back to the patriarch Abraham, and ultimately to the first prophet, Adam.

Your BAPTIST PROFESSORS are also BIASED!!
Just like the BAPTIST debate between Calvinism and Amills.

And the Greek name ZEUS is where Jesus comes from and why I use the correct NAME, Yeshua!!

Cracks me up, people take Allah to ZEUS but disregard that is where the NAME JESUS also COMES FROM!!

Does Jesus mean Hail Zeus? | That Ancient Faith
https://www.thatancientfaith.uk › Articles › Apologetics › Etymology

  1. From Greek Διος (Dios) meaning "of ZEUS" combined with NYSA, means the Greek name Jesus...

This is ZEUS + NYSA = JESUS

So, when you are saying, JESUS, you are FACTUALLY saying HAIL ZEUS!!

If you took Seminary, this would have been there. but I see YOU FAIL to mention the OBVIOUS!!
ROFL the old Copy Cat nonsense.

I checked those who are responsible for these articles. I noticed no REAL MUSLIMS were involved but general old white men speaking from their behinds.

run along now
They are experts on Islam. Some were MIssonaries to Muslims, who studied their languages, histories and cultures firsthand. Others are well established scholars of various races.

Your avoidance of those sources tells me a lot. Abraham Geiger is a Jewish Scholar, not an old white man.
In fact, his works have been noted by many scholars.

Charles Cutler Torrey (20 December 1863 – 12 November 1956)[1] was an American historian, archeologist and scholar who presented manuscripturial evidence to support alternate views on Christian and Islamic religious sources and origins. He founded the American School of Archaeology at Jerusalem in 1901.

Torrey taught Semitic languages at the Andover Theological Seminary (1892–1900) and Yale University (1900–32).
