What are the benefits of the infilling of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit?

There is evidently much confusion about the Holy Spirit and His relation to believers. Therefore we need to be clear about the meanings of the various terms used in Scripture. We also need to be clear that the Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son, but He is the third person of the triune Godhead (Mt 28:19)

1. Those who repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ receive the GIFT of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).

2. This is what John the Baptist meant when he said that Christ would baptize WITH the Holy Ghost (Mt 3:11) [NOTE: Scripture does not say "baptized in" the Holy Ghost, manifested by speaking in tongues]

3. At the same time the Holy Spirit baptizes or IMMERSES the believer into the Body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12,13). [This is the baptism BY the Holy Ghost.]

4. The Holy Spirit then regenerates and renews the believer (Titus 3:4-7)

5. The Holy Spirit then begins to INDWELL the believer (Rom 8:11)

6. The believer is FILLED WITH (or fully controlled by) the Holy Spirit when he/she walks (or lives) in the Spirit, and produces the FRUIT of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-26)

7. The fulness of the Spirit is also manifested in speaking the Word of God boldly (Acts 4:8,31)

8. The Holy Spirit also gives every believer one or more SPIRITUAL GIFTS of the Spirit for the edification of the Church (1 Cor 12-14, and other passages). [NOTE: No gift is given for self-edification]

9. Every believer also receives the unction or anointing of the Holy Spirit, which enables that person to understand spiritual things (1 John 2:20,27).

10. The Holy Spirit is also the Divine Comforter of the believer who also guides every believer into all truth. (John 16:7-14)

I think your note is a clear but incorrect statement not backed by a similar biblical statement.

The two biblical statements I'm thinking of seem to suggest the opposite of what you propose.

1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifyeth himself.

...And...

Jude 21 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Edify means to "build up", and "praying in the Holy Ghost" means speaking in tongues. (Which also perfectly matches the 1 Cor. 14:4 statement)

2. Made members of one body. All different, having parts we are created to do.. by being baptized into that glorious body By God himself

4. Spiritually Circumcised (cleansed) with the Circumcision does by the hands of God. Through spiritual baptism. As such, Made us alive in Christ based on the fact he removed the debt (penalty of sin) having nailed it to the cross. (HS baptizes us into his death thus united with him in his death, by God himself)

Col 2: 11 and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; 12 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were dead [k]in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

These are but 4 things we benefit from being baptised by God himself.. There are many more

Without the Spirit of Christ, we are none of His. Born again. Salvation through repentance, turning to God through Son. Jesus breathing on His disciples.

Water is not the washing sister. Baptism is. We are washed by God himself (titus 3: 5) Baptism all through the HS represented cleansing

The priest had to be cleansed, The utensils of the temple and things had to be cleansed All of these were done by baptism in water. Which was SYMBOLIC of what God was going to do throughh his own baptism, as prophesied by John the baptist himself

And once again, Every church I know of teaches this, except for those who believe baptism is REQUIRED for salvation (who I thought were the only ones until I met people like you)

And no, it is not my own view. But it is the word of god. As I shared in my last post. About at least 4 passages where we are told what we get by the baptism of God. Once of which is being spiritually cleaned

God proclaiming to the people at the river, or us proclaiming our testimony) you as an individual are gods children. In fact, Oiur baptisms are a party. We bring our non christian friends, and many have come to christ hearing the testimony of those being baptized. It is too bad all baptism are not this way

The baptism of Holy Spirit reveals the power of God or the anointing of God within. Not just upon but also within. This is the whelmed in Spirit, and flesh is put under.

And it's the refreshing, for man rests then in Him. No longer will works of sheer will power to put flesh under, but we rest in the Cross of His death, but rise also with Him in resurrection life.

Water shows the death and resurrection. Spirit shows the power to live the resurrection life.

Thus we have the sabbath rest.

Yes pentecost did come, The HS washed (baptized them into Christ) and then the HS was poured out on them (anoint) and through the anointing, they spoke in everyones language. And God has been working ever since
